I loved this foundation. I used it exclusively for a little over one full year - absolutely no other foundations (didn't own any others and didn't feel the need to try any others). Once I ran out, I thought I would try other brands and formulations...but honestly I miss this foundation and will be repurchasing soon.

I like it because it looked great in pictures for me (I have a full year's worth of pictures to prove it!). No white cast or washing me out. For pictures, very nice coverage. None of my acne scarring or breakouts showed through too much and sometimes if I wanted flawless coverage, I'd layer on a little BB concealer in a matching shade. I have worn it in very hot/humid climates (Miami in the summer) while on vacation and with primer underneath and set with a little MAC blot powder, it was quite long-lasting- I never once felt like my foundation was melting off my face or had disappeared. Finally the last reason why I liked this foundation a lot is because I have always had very oily skin, filled with breakouts/acne, and highly sensitive. This did not aggravate my acne or make me break out further- a HUGE factor for me in foundations.

I gave it 4 stars because once I ran out, I didn't feel like I couldn't live without this and immediately had to re-purchase. There are other solid foundations out there too. But this definitely has earned it's place in my foundation arsenal.

I loved this Bobbi Brown foundation when I first purchased.
Packaging perfect and huge variety of shades.
I find this foundation is very natural and looks flawless on. Also gives for great coverage which you can easily build on to your preference.
The only down side - doesn't last long. If you want a foundation that lasts hours this one is not for you! At around £30 I would expect a little more.

This isn't cheap but it's worth it if you're looking for a yellow based foundation that doesn't cake or clog. It's very natural looking and has become my day wear foundation of choice. I have a slightly sallow complexion with warm undertones and have been matched to a warm beige. It disappears into my skin and evens the tone out really well. I've tried loads of different foundations and am happy to chop and change but always end up coming back to ones that don't make me feel caked up.

EDIT: I wrote this review just after the SA at BB did my face in this and I was delighted. I'm not quite so happy with it now but my skin is out of sorts just now and that might be the reason why it's not working so well. My problem is uneven skin tone and this foundation seems to highlight the imperfections at the moment. I also think it makes me look a bit grey. It works better with a primer and powder. I don't find it gets oily as the day goes on - in fact it seems to dry my skin out a bit. I now find I wear this only when my skin needs less help. Loads left in the bottle so I would say it is value for money.

Still searching for that elusive HG foundation.

Let me start by saying I think writing a review for foundation is VERY tricky, as women want different results from their foundation. So if you want a foundation that is sheer/medium coverage, has yellow undertones and a very liquid consistency, then this foundation is for you. This is the first foundation I have ever had that doesnt break me out. I have been using it for a year now. I have tried most of the drug store foundations, Estee Lauder, Benefit, Clinique, Body Shop, MAC and Chanel foundations and none of them have looked as natural, felt as light on the skin as this foundation. It hasnt broken me out because I dont think it clogs pores like other foundations do. If you are prone to redness in your skin this foundation is ABSOLUTELY AMAZING at covering it up! I use half a pump on my whole face and any redness is completely concealed. I guess this is because its yellow based. There is a fantastic variety of colours. I am very pale and use porcelain which is a great match! All in all I will never use any other foundation than Bobbi. I have found my HG!

I wanted to like this foundation because it matched my skin tone perfectly (I hate shopping for foundation almost as much as for the perfect pair of jeans) but it was not to be! It blends on nicely enough; I have weird combo-y skin that feels normal when I first wash but quickly get oily and shiny. I'm prone to acne when stressed or different climates and have uneven redness around my nose and cheeks, etc. I don't expect any makeup to keep me matte, but my skin's condition declined quickly when using this stuff. I thought I just needed to get used to the formula, but it clogged my pores with whiteheads and blackheads in just one day and every day after just made it worse and worse. I get blackheads of course, I don't have horrible or perfect skin, but it usually takes a several weeks of heavy use with my mineral makeup to get that sort of build up in my pores. My skin got very irritated and uneven in tone until I finally gave up after 3 weeks. I've tried going back to it a few times but it always clogs up my pores and I find myself having to try and detox them out once more. So disappointed since it was a great color match!

I wanted to love this (because it cost me almost €40...) but it just doesn't do what I want. I have combination skin which is often dehydrated and this lasts about 30 mins on me before becoming greasy, shiney, and slipping off. It must suit dry and mature skin better but with me it just drips off, and I have never had skin you could really describe as oily.
While it is a beautiful colour (I often try mixing it with other longer lasting foundations, and seeing the two side by side in my hand you can definitely see the quality of the pigments is better), it is just a tiny bit too yellow for me.
Unfortunately for me this fails to look like 'skin'. It looks a little bit chalky when first applied, and then when it settles and starts to shine I feel like it looks waxy and fake.
I do like that it's so fluid and liquid, I need to use very little to get the coverage I want. However I only rely on this to stay on my face for about an hour max and by then I'm really shiney looking.

UPDATE:
It's spring now and my combo skin is behaving itself better and acting more normal. I've found I can make this foundation work for me if I pat on some Maybeline Dream Matte powder in the lightest shade to set it. The dream matte powder is very light in colour and texure and seems to stop the shine and melting off I was having before without adding too much coverage or dulling the finish too much.
I still wouldn't trust it to last for a long day or special occasion, but for now it's made it useable for me.
Still loving the milky texture and sheerness of it, just wish it would set itself!

Smells nasty, but is long lasting, 8 hours+ and doesn't dry out mature skin.
Can look a bit matt and theatrical when first applied but it settles as it dries. I apply with a stippling brush. Pump dispenser is very convenient and when you get to the end I think you have half a chance of getting the lid off to fish out the last dregs.
The smell is weird and slightly off putting though.

I have used this on and off for 2 years now, when i first got it i got a lot of comments on my skin, people i said i looked airbrushed, radiant etc. I used 6.5 warm almond. However as i have oily skin it just doesn't have staying power. It is a very thin watery formula which i have to mix with revlon colourstay or mac studiofix to thicken it out in the daytime to make it stick. Also as it is quite watery when i use it by itself to give me that radiant look i find myself using 4 or 5 full pumps.

the pros of this foundation is it is a fantastic colour match, looks great on photos, light and breathable on the skin, doesn't get sticky after wearing for a while and i have never had a breakout due to it.

the cons are it is extremely watery, have to use a lot in one go, not the best for people with oily skin and at £32 a bottle is a tad overpriced.

After years of hunting, finally a lovely foundation. make sure you get coloured tested at the counter...it's so important. Then use over the BB Face Base, a little goes a long way. Better to build up the coverage gently. ace.

I'm not sure if anyone is having problems with getting a perfect colour match? I was matched with #5 Honey and it looked great at the counter but horrifically orange (like fake tan gone wrong) in daylight. #4.5 looks too fair. I am usually a Stila shade D but a little more tanned now (thus looking for a new shade) so I'm guessing now I have to buy the 4.5 for mixing. I am really happy with the texture as it was what I was looking for - more coverage than a tinted moisturiser (which I am used to) but less heavy than typical foundations (which I really dislike). The watery texture is by far the smoothest I have ever tried and absolutely weightless while evening out all imperfections. That being said, I have pretty good skin overall. Will I repurchase? I will probably get the #4.5 to mix my ideal shade before the final verdict as a perfect shade match remains my constant struggle. Rated a 3 due to shade issues, but texture would get a 5. Although it is more dewy and probably not suited for more oily skin. I have normal skin which can get dehydrated when not moisturised properly.

Im liking the foundation much more than Natural Finish. If you're looking for a foundation that looks like as natural as possible, this is it. It really does look like my skin but better. Id buy it again. I provides buildable coverage so it can be sheer to medium. It lasts for most of the day. I have to blot once in the middle of the day

I am so happy to find a colour which matches my skin absolutely perfectly! I don't look like I have "artificial colour" on as with other foundations I did like. It blends into my skin colour perfectly. I am yellow-toned, now in between tan and winter lightness, and the MUA of BB used Natural on me (warm beige concealer under the eye, and Natural mineral powder). I am more than happy, and from my initial experience with this foundation it lasts all day in combination with the powder! Highly recommended - something about the BB colour range that caters to less mainstream-colour-fitting skin types!

I was really excited to get this baby as it claims to have all the properties I want to have for my summer foundation: sheer coverage, a little bit of hydration, a bit of spf and a natural finish…

I use shade 3.5 warm beige which is a very good match for my olive skin – love bobbi’s yellow base! (great shade range btw!)

The consistency is very liquid-y but I do like that and find it easy to apply and blend – I only use one pump of the skin foundation, which is just right for me – it evens out my skin tone and simply makes me look healthy and fresh everyday by cancelling out the sallowness in my face (when I don’t have a light tan)
You can layer it as well – for me, it just doesn’t feel right to use more if I don’t have to :-)

Staying power is okay – I can use it for my long work days without having to worry about creasing etc.. I do have to blot at midday but that is nothing out of the ordinary with my combination/oily skin :-)
One of the most important points for me – skin tolerance!
Thank god this foundie doesn’t break me out as I really wanted to love it, which I do :-)

So if you’re looking for a very liquidy, sheer foundation, just for evening out your skin tone and not wanting to look ‘made up’ every day – this is really great!! This has become one of my trusty helpers I can reach for every morning…

I've struggled to find a foundation which I like the texture of as I am still quite new to wearing foundation on a regular basis I find many of them too heavy for my tastes, but this is the best I have found to suit me so far. The coverage is light though and does need a powder to prevent shine. I am still looking for my perfect foundation, but will buy this again till I find it!

I have repurchased this once. I find Bobbi Brown foundations to have an excellent color match for my ivory based fair skin. When I have a tan, I need a different brand. I find the coverage to be light to medium, somewhat buildable. The texture is more watery than creamy. It does not last all day for me. It lasts from 8a until bout -afternoon. I have combo skin that is oily in the tzone. This tends to get shiny on me pretty much all over. I definitely need powder when using this. And need to blot. I repurchased mainly for the color match and because it doesn't break me out and doesn't turn orange. UPDATE: 12/11/11: This is a necessity for me in the winter. I have repurchased again. Product is not as shiny on me in winter. Great for dullish, dryer skin.

Bobbi Brown foundations have left me stunned, In particular, this one. The overall finish is beautiful. There is no foundation out there on the market like this one. After prepping the face with a nice primer/cream I apply this foundation with my Bobbi Brown foundation brush. It blends very well and gives a sheer finish, a lit-from-within finish. Then, to cover harsh redness or stubborn spots I go back in with a long lasting concelar and dab this on to problem areas. The skin foundation helps to even out skin tone and give it a subtly luminous but flawless finish. I found that my pores appear smaller too! The colour match is amazing, most if not all skins have a yellow undertone BB foundations can colour match any skin! The whole product gives your overall make-up such a fresh look. Yes the consistency is light and watery which takes time get used to. But you''ll master it in no time, by using a little at a time. It is expensive but a little goes a long way so it's worth it!

i USED to love this, but as time went on i realised it just didnt have enough staying power.. first off i got matched to warm ivory which was a little too yellow so then i bought porcelain and that was too pink.. the porcelain shade seemed to oxidise aswell.
if this foundation had more staying power i would actually buy it again but for now i'm on the quest again !

Ok, this foundation, for me, has great coverage. But I don't know, it broke me out A LOT!
It was not that smooth, and I'm really happy it had a pump. But it just broke me out. And, I don't know, I don't like the smell very much. But I WILL where it again cos it has excellent coverage. If I wear like the whole day, or for like three days in a row, I start to break out-A LOT! But if I just wear it like for 3-4 hours for a party and then remove it, it'l be fine. But no, I won't purchase this again.
