I only have the sample tube of this, but so far I am enjoying it. It makes my eyelashes very long, adds volume, but nothing intense. I love how dark and black it is. The mascara is a wet so you have to be careful applying it- it always gets on my skin no matter how careful I am. If I take the time to apply it, it really makes my eyes pop. However, If you rush between coats, it can cause minor clumping. I have always enjoyed Bare Escentuals mascaras, and this one is ok. It also does not flake, which is a plus. The main con is that it doesn't hold my curl well, but I haven't really found a mascara that can, without being super stiff.

I got this as my 100 point gift from sephora. I probably would have never tried it if I had to pay for it.
Didn't know it was the bare escentuals line til I researched it, eh whatever that doesn't matter. The first couple of weeks I didn't really like it. The formula seemed too thin and the brush seemed to separate the lashes too much. Yes for those of you who love feather separate lashes, you would love this. But for me, I am more of a thick long lash kinda gal. So after the third week, it started to thicken, making my lashes look more thick and nice looking. The brush...is interesting very separate style but still works pretty good even when it starts to thicken.
Will I buy this? Probably not, but it saved me from buying another mascara since I didn't have the funds. I am looking at tartes light camera action mascara...thats next to try.

I received this product as a free sample from Sephora. I was presently surprised by this formula! It works extremely well for my lashes, which are already fairly long to begin with. It really separates and adds great volume. The formula never clumps and goes on far more smoothly than any of my usual drugstore mascaras. The only downside is the price, which, although, is cheaper than most high end mascaras, it is much higher than the average price for a s drugstore mascara.

I've gone through a couple of the mascara, it's decent. But after trying the trial for Urban Decay skyscraper and make up forever, I'm switching! I'm looking for the dramatic look and Urban Decay and Makeup forever gives me just that

One word: decent. Not the best, not the worst. I've tried worse high end mascaras and better drugstore mascaras. It definitely lengthens, but does not volumize as much as it boasts. I achieve pretty, natural lashes from this product but definitely not falsies-like. The brush is huge but I like the bristle design. I feel like it can coat the entire lash. Very buildable, never gives me clumps or spider lashes, but will weigh down the curl with too much. My current tube has lasted me quite some time. I know I should probably throw it out, but the texture does get better with time so I've been holding off. Pretty runny in the beginning, and gets nice and creamy after a couple of months. Sometimes I'll use this first for length then a waterproof mascara over it for volume and curl. I'll keep this one on my makeup bag for now, but I'll definitely keep searching.

I'm on my 2nd full size tube of Buxom Lash Mascara. I also have had a few sample size tubes. It's such an easy mascara for me to use and it gives great results. No clumping, no flaking at all. I love the brush, but I tend to prefer big brushes in general. The bristles do a good job of separating all my lashes without making them clump together. It adds a bit of volume and adds great length. It has a very smooth formula that I don't find to dry or too liquid. I will likely try other mascaras to see if I find something better, but this is definitely my fall-back mascara.

I love this mascara. I had been a faithful Diorshow customer for years, but switched when I got this as a GWP at Sephora.
I guess that the negative reviews are age and effect related. I want to look like me, only better. This does it. No clumping, just more of my eyelashes visible and longer and darker. But, yeah, it's not for clubbing or looking "made up".
I wear contacts and have issues with many mascaras. No tearing or smudging with this baby.
Went back the next week and bought four for my purse, travel, etc.

My first "expensive grown up mascara" =) I accepted the fact that my mascara will always and forever clump until I discovered this gem while grazing at Sephora. I always keep this around eventhough I buy other mascaras, it's still my main one. Th price is less than $20 and the box it came in doesn't really matter. I'll always repurchase because it's a great lash volumizer, and for a mascara that's not waterproof- it doesn't smudge on me.

This is my absolute fav mascara. I never have problems with clumping or it settling on the skin under my eyes. It also does not bother my eyes, which can be very sensitive to some mascaras with my contacts in.
Age: 25-29 Skin: Combination, Fair Hair: Brunette Eyes: Blue
Amazing. Nice and dark, no clumping, makes me look like I'm wearing false eyelashes. I've purchased multiple times.
Age: 19-24 Skin: Acne-prone, Fair Hair: Brunette Eyes: Hazel
This mascara is definitely one of the best mascaras i have tried! I much prefer it to other high end brands i've tried such as diorshow, and benefits bad gal lash, and would 100% purchase again! Its perfect for anyone looking for a mascara that gives definition and length with volumizing, although i would say length and definition are the main two! I will say i already have reasonably long lashes, so the fact that the brush is big doesn't bother me at all, if anything it makes it easier because i can get them all in one swipe!
Age: 19-24 Skin: Combination, Fair Hair: Red Eyes: Brown
I am so disappointed with this. The brush looks good, but doesn't work well at all. It doesn't apply evenly, and I had to put on three coats to even make it look somewhat decent! Also, I don't know if it's just me but this stuff seems like it takes 3 times as long to dry than other mascaras that I have used. It's over priced for it's quality in my opinion...I have tried $5 mascaras that have rendered better results.

Love this mascara... It never seems to dry out and it never clumps on my lashes. Also I only need to do a few swipes and my lashes are full and coated--which i think is mostly due to the large contoured brush. I only wish it was a little cheaper!

I love this mascara! To start with, I have medium-long lashes that tend to be a little sparse. Usually in a mascara I look for something that offers a little length (my lashes are already pretty long) but lots of volume. This mascara is perfect for me. It is pretty wet, but it works for my lashes. I like how dramatic I can get my lashes to look without it being clumpy. This is a very buildable mascara on my lashes. I do have to let it dry a little between coats otherwise it can be too wet. With proper application this mascara can really make a difference. I would say if you have short lashes this probably wouldn't be the best as the brush can be big and bulky and the formula may be too wet for you. I am a mascara fiend and have tried a lot from drugstore to high end. This is my favorite, to date. I hope this helps someone!
Age: 25-29 Skin: Sensitive, Fair Hair: Red Eyes: Brown
Ok, I've only tried it on once - (just got it) but have to say - it gets a 4 and not a 5 because my eyelashes are a little short so the big long bristles on the brush actually scrape my eyelid area a little - very had to apply if you have short lashes.
Other than that, texture is great, didn't clump/stayed on all night, so overall very nice.
Age: 25-29 Skin: Acne-prone, Medium, Warm Hair: Black, Wavy, Medium Eyes: Brown
This is my favorite mascara, and it is perfect for every day and/or special occasion use.
My lashes look lush and natural when I use this mascara. This mascara is perfect for people with medium length lashes who want their lashes to stand out but not take over their face.
This is not a mascara that will give you a "false lashes" look, which might disappoint people looking for that effect.
My one gripe with this mascara is that it "runs" in high humidity weather conditions and, obviously, if you cry/have teary eyes.
Overall, I will continue buying this mascara.

Bought this mascara on a whim at Sephora. Wasn't expecting much, but it's actually pretty decent. It's not the most volumizing mascara, but it gives great length. I love the brush. The dense bristles at the tip are great for the inner corner. I've noticed it looks really nice if you rotate the wand slightly when applying. It doesn't clump or flake on me. A few cons: it's not waterproof. I haven't had any problems, but it could be a problem for those with allergies. And $20 is not a reasonable price for a mascara. Probably would purchase again if it wasn't for the price.

Got this as a GWP-not impressed. I had to put about 3 coats on to see any effect at all. No comparison to my Hypnose Drama. Glad I didn't pay for it. Nice brush wand is about all I can say for it.

Never judge a mascara by its bottle! I was expecting this to be a very dramatic looking mascara due to its name, the way it was marketed, and the chunky looking bottle, but I actually found its results to be very natural looking, and almost too light for me - a shock because my style is all about natural looking makeup! The Buxom wand is able to grab onto even the tiniest lashes, and it applied a VERY even coat of mascara to each lash. The effect is very defined, clean looking, and not clumpy in the least, even after two coats. It was not, however, as volumizing as many of the other mascaras out there. The lashes are so skinny and perfectly defined that they almost take on a spiderlike, unnatural quality, if that makes any sense. Even though I prefer natural looking lashes (as opposed to high drama lashes), I found that this mascara didn't give my upper lashes the kind of weight I prefer on top. However, I find this mascara works PERFECTLY for my lower lashes - it grabs each lash, gives great definition without clumping lashes together, and doesn't smear on my skin as I apply it. Amazing! I think I will be purchasing another tube for my lower lashes, and will continue using a different mascara for my top lashes.

probably the best mascara i've ever used! i own it in the blue noir color which gives a gorgeous SLIGHT royal blue tint to the lashes. GORGEOUS! i would love to own this in black as well. separates and lengthens my lashes beautiful. never a clump, ever. like, ever HONESTLY! unbelievably great stuff!
