I bought this to use for travel, but I like it so much that I use it for everyday. It never sheds and applies my mmu perfectly. I like that its retractable so it doesn't get dirty when I put it in my travel toiletry kit. For the price, it's a steal. Would definitely repurchase.

My HG powder brush! Absolutely love it! I use this brush with my MAC Studio Fix pressed powder and it works puuuurfectly!

I have owned & used the MAC loose powder brush & it pales in comparison to ecotools kabuki.

I would recommend this to everyone who wants a brush that effectively applies powder without loosing half of it in the actual brush.

I got this because of the great reviews, and it certainly lives up to the expectations. It is so incredibly soft as well as dense. I use it to apply my Mac studio fix powder foundation and no other brush (sigma, MAC etc) can give such a great, flawless, non cakey and natural look. I love that its retractable (and works well) so I can easily take it in my handbag. The packing feels plasticy and cheap, but it was cheap so Im not complaining or deducting any points!
Thanks again EcoTools :)

Okay...BUY THIS. While I haven't tried TOO many brushes before, I have used bareminerals kabuki and ELFs kabukis, and this kicks ass by far!! Bought one before and lost it...finally bought a replacement and don't know why I waited so long to do so! Love how it retracts so it doesn't get dirty in my makeup bag. The brush is SO soft and super dense, so it applies my bareminerals foundation flawlessly (and I have blemished skin). My friend tried this once and said "OMG I love this brush where did you get it?" Walmart. 6 bucks. BOMB :)

This is a fantastic retractable kabuki! The bristles are synthetic, but feel incredibly soft against my skin - not scratchy at all! I prefer the use of retractable kabuki's especially when out-and-about since you can adjust how you like the coverage; sheer or full by sliding up/down the lid. It also works great for creme products (such as blush) if you just slide up the lid cover so the bristles become shorter/dense. My only complaint is that after washing, it takes twice as long to dry compared with normal brushes due to the design of retractable brushes in general.

LOVE LOVE THIS BRUSH! I used to be a sponge applicator type of person on the go but I realized that my sponge would look so disgusting after only several uses! I decided to invest in a portable kabuki and I am so glad I did.

The bristles are SO soft and it feels great on your face when you have touch ups or putting on finishing powder. I have not used it for mineral powder application or liquid foundation application so I cannot comment on that.

It was around $11 at Wal-Mart Canada so definitely a great buy! I have yet to wash it but per review of the other feedbacks here, it seems to hold up well. I recommend!!

This is my HG Kabuki brush. I have about 3 or so Kabuki brushes, and I find that this one is the one that I go to the most. It is so soft, and is a very decent size for a travel kabuki brush. It's dense, and it picks up product very well. I purchased this brush for myself, and then my mother got one and she loved it as well. You can't go wrong with this brush!

If i could write this brush a poem, i would, but im no poet, only a makeup junkie in love with this. It's soooo soft!:D and the density of the bristles is great. Iv'e had this for over 2 months and i adore the quality, not only is it environmentally responsible, it's great for my blush and powder application. I even use it to apply foundation and blend it. Versatile!. lol but yeah, at times it does give a slight cakeyness with my powder, but i get the feeling that's just my technique as far as blending goes. Very nice; it feels great on the face. Its stubby though haha but the fact that it's compact is a big plus as I can take it anywhere without having to worry about a huge brush handle sticking out of my coat pocket or something.

This is the first Ecotools product I ever purchased and now I think I won’t buy any other brushes. I use this Kabuki to set my foundation with powder and it distributes the powder evenly all over my skin. The bristles are really soft, which make putting make up on more pleasant and you don’t feel like you’re being harmful to your skin. The kabuki is retractable, so it is easy to carry around in your purse and is really cheap. I try to find some cons, but I can’t. It is definitely a great purchase.

I've been using this for almost a year to apply mineral powder foundation. It picks up the perfect amount of powder, applies smoothly, and cleans pretty easily. I haven't had it fall apart yet. It hasn't shed a single fiber and the bristles and metal tube look just as they were the day I bought it. I really don't have much other experience with many any other brushes but this one is perfectly fine and I feel no need to replace it. I have heard that retractable brushes tend to suddenly fall apart, even higher-end brands, so I won't hold it against it if it does since it's already lasted a year. Definitely a good buy. It cost me somewhere between $5-10 at RiteAid.

UPDATED Review: This is now one of my least favorite brushes of Ecotools because mine also broke. I also had a problem with it never completely drying after washing it. If you're interested in Ecotools I definitely suggest the Bamboo Bronzer Brush & the little mineral brush in the 5 Piece Set (check my reviews).

I love EcoTools brushes. Environmentally responsible, so soft, and affordable. I got this to keep in my purse for mid day touch ups since I have very oily skin. The bristles are so soft, they don't fall out, and apply product evenly. My only complaint is with the packaging. Sometimes its hard to get all of the bristles under the cap, and the cap doesn't close tightly....however, for the price it's worth it.

I've had this brush for a about a year now and use it strictly to touch up with powder during the day. I like that it's retractable and very soft. What I don't like is that, like the Bamboo bronzer brush, this brush is so dense that it makes a sheer application of anything absolutely impossible. I don't like buffing the crap out of my skin. Sometimes I just want to add a light layer of powder.

I paid $6.99 for this at Rite Aid and i love it because its;

buttery soft
very densely packed bristles
retractable
pretty sturdy
Easy to open and close

This is seriously amazingly soft. I have the large one also by Ecotools. i can't imagine a softer brush existing. Becoming a huge ecotools fan!

This is my FAVORITE kabuki brush of all time. If it wasn't retractable I would use it everyday. It is very dense and works with my powder products amazingly. SO SOFT! If I could buy this kabuki in a non retractable way, I would! Instead of this, I use the smaller kabuki brush by Ecotools that comes in the set for my everyday. I would repurchase this no questions asked. Highly recommend & would repurchase over and over again.

Great brush for travel! The brush is sooooo soft and it applies products very well. I have not had the brush separate on me yet - I hope that doesn't happen!

As much as I loved this brush it came out of the metal case after I washed it. It was probably my fault somehow since I don't think its happened to many others but it made me sad. Luckily I can still use it but without the metal case it is just a normal kabuki brush.

Had I only known about this baby before I spent seven times as much on Too Faced and Hourglass retractable brushes! Live and learn, I guess...

This brush is soft, fluffy, and everthing I'm looking for in a face brush. I have not had the base separate on me yet, but I've got glue ready, since both of my expensive Too Faced and Hourglass brushes have separated from their bases too. I'm becoming expert at glueing brushes together. I think it's just one of the weaknesses of retractable brushes, so I can't fault Ecotools if the same happens here.

All in all, an excellent buy. I highly recommend it. This brush easily equals or surpasses many more expensive retractable brushes on the market.

Love this brush! Only down side to it would be its not at wide as I would like? Hard to explain, but compare the total bristle width to a MAC kabuki 182, and you can see it takes a lot less time with buffing product into your skin. I just need to make sure I blend everything thoroughly with this brush. I bought it for about $8 I think, and well worth the money!
