These were on sale for $3 CDN, so I, um, bought ten of them. *ducks* Turns out that these are actually some good sh*t. Staying power is pretty good, application is smooth - honestly, I can't tell much of a difference between these and my MAC shadows. Some of the colours are fugly, but the colour selection is large enough that everyone is sure to find at least something that they like. Well worth my three bucks and then some!

I bought this for 50% off because the entire summer Red Earth's cosmetics were on sale. WHat a bargain! I only paid $3cad for it. I bought it in a pinky rosey colour. It lasted all day and didn't crease or flake off. The pigmentation is really good because I didn't need to apply a lot for the colour to show up. The only thing I didn't like was that when I use my eyeshadow brush, so much of the powder seems to flake off onto the brush. It doesn't "hold" together as well in the pot as my MAC shadows do. But at $3 you can't go wrong!

This is an ok line for trying out colours you're just not sure about, because at $6 a pop, it really doesn't matter if you'll only wear it every once in a while. The pigment level is pretty low, though, so be prepared to apply wet or buy a darker colour than you would really think of using. Texture is inconsistent - within the same style (eg, shimmer) they can be smooth and velvety or quite gritty.

Ever since they took the price of these down from 10$ to 6$, I can't help but but a new one each week or so. The colors are so pretty and there are many of them available. The color goes on nicely and stays on forever.

Here in Vancouver, Canada, you can buy Red Earth Cosmetics at Espirit clothing stores. What a fun-looking line!

The prices are reasonable on basic items ($4 for a lipgloss pot, $6 for a MAC-style eyeshadow); trendy things, like those Stila-type lipgloss pens and credit-card thin eyeshadow quads, cost more.

A metallic blue eyeshadow caught my attention, so I bought it! The application is not 100% smooth (a wee bit gritty) and the color is vivid; I did not need to apply alot to get the intensity I sought. They feel like MAC shadows. I'm impressed.

I recommend that if you want to buy a trendy color without spending alot, go with this line. Buy the more-expensive MAC shadows for your classic colors. There is nothing wrong with Red Earth's classic colors at all!
