I didn't expect much from this going into trying it....I liked the little tingles when I put it on. But my face seemed to get oilier through the day and this actually made me break out more! :( Back to CVS it went, and the search continues.

At first I bought it because of the overall good reviews on the product, when I first applied the product it gave my skin a tingly feeling but I had expected that from the reviews so I didn't worry about it. After a few hours, normally my skin would already be oily but it had been reduced and not really noticeable any more so I continued using the moisturiser. One day, I accidentally used it too close to my eye are and it wouldn't stop the tingling feeling when first applied and it almost became a irritant to my skin, after a few more days I realised that I was starting to break out again. My skin hadn't been completely clear when I first started using the product but the moisturiser had given me quite large spots and after many weeks later, they have only recently gone away. After that I stopped using it completely. I'm not sure if it may be because I have slightly sensitive skin but I'm disappointed that this oil-free product made my skin have such large spots and I will definitely not recommend it to anyone I know or with sensitive skin.

This is a nice moisturizer. I have a very oily T-zone and normal cheeks and this doesn't make me look like a grase ball, it just makes my skin a tiny little bit oily but nothing to worry about. When I first started using it, I enjoyed the cooling sensation of it, but after some weeks my skin got used to it and I couldn't feel it anymore. It has no SPF which is why I am removing one lippie. My skin feels comfortable and read for makeup application. I like that it has a pump, that's very nice too.

I am in loveeeee with this moisturizer. I have normal to combination skin (gets mildly oily towards the end of a long day) and I get a pimple here and there ever-so-often. I have been using this for a month or two, it makes my skin so soft, and I find myself wanting to reapply it because of the refreshing feeling. It keeps my makeup on tight, controls oily spots and gives extra moisture to areas in need. After a long day, i wash my face and apply this and its like i can hear my pores saying 'ahhh'. Ive never loved any skin care product more, I prefer this over other high end moisturizers without a doubt.

I love this!! It works amazing for oily skin!! it makes my skin soft and helps control brake outs!! I HIGHLY reccomend this product!!The only problem is that it has menthol in it so if you get it near your eyes, they will water. This product is great for going under your makeup.

This product is a very light moisturizer and its perfect for my combo/oily skin! Although, I could do without the menthol. This still is a good moisturizer. wouldn't recommend for dry skin because of the Salicylic acid. oh and i love the packaging! its very attractive haha

Goodness me, I've been using this product for probably 15 years. In my teen days, it was my regular. Now I don't have much in the way of blemishes but I still keep this cheapy around for the week before my period, when I tend to have pesky breakouts. I use it as a preventative measure really and it's pretty effective, not 100% but I feel like it keeps blemishes to a minimum. For daily use, I think it'd be too drying and irritating.

I will agree with a lot of previous reviews, this product is great for oily skin. It will not hydrate enough for dry skin, but provides SOME hydration without causing breakouts, which is all someone needs that has oily skin. Great packaging, as you can twist it to lock the pump while travelling. I have been using this for ~5 years.

This seems to help clear up my skin. I don't like getting it near my eyes because it does irritate them. I don't have any dry patches either. I have an oily nose and the rest of my skin is fairly normal. I also use the sensitive skin Clean and Clear foaming cleanser. With the exception of period zits, I rarely break out with this combination. I also use witch hazel to tone, when I remember.

I was so surprised to see all the terrible ratings for this product. I'm on my 3rd bottle of this stuff and like it a lot.

I have combination skin that's not sensitive. I used to have moderate acne, but now out of my teens, only get the odd stray pimple once in awhile.

This moisturizer is the perfect balance for me. It delivers just the right amount of moisture, absorbs quickly, and doesn't leave a greasy-feeling residue like so many other moisturizers I've tried. It doesn't clog my pores and the salicylic acid is great to keep blemishes away. As someone who's more interested in prevention than treatment of acne, I feel this is a great product for me. Not to mention it's widely available in almost any store tht sells facial cleansers and the price is always excellent. I will continue to buy this whenever I run out.

I have used this for years now, I actually think this may be the first moisturizer I ever used. I have found better (albeit, more expensive) alternatives as my skin has changed over the years, but throughout middle school and high school this was the perfect moisturizer for me. It's really light and moisturizes really well, I often still come back to this one in the summer time because it's the perfect consistency for a summertime moisturizer. It's not a miracle product; if you have moderate to severe acne it won't do a thing for you. But for those with little to no active breakouts, this will help prevent you from getting any while still moisturizing your skin.

i LOVE this moisturizer!

This is Great for someone:
with oily skin, acne prone skin, and skin that tends to break out easily...
NOT great for someone with:
dry skin

I usually put 1 or 2 drops of jojoba oil on my skin after my morning shower, let my face dry and then put this on after. I think this is the perfect combo of acne medication and moisturizer because no matter how much I slather on... I never break out (can't say the same for other moisturizers). I don't think the s. acid in this actually helps keep breakouts away, but I DO think it helps make this moisturizer non clogging.

LOVE IT HG****

I have been using this product for about 2 weeks and I am very happy with the results. I have adult acne, mostly on my chin, and this 0.5% Salicylic moisturizer has been clearing up my acne fairly rapidly. I even see diminished redness of my acne scars. I was encouraged by the results so I also bought the Clean & Clear 2% Salicylic acid acne mark treatment and have been using the two together with good results. My acne marks are beginning to fade. The moisturizer itself is moisturizing enough for my oily-sensitive skin. I have experienced no dryness from this product, and only a little "purging". It has made my skin significantly softer and more even-toned.
It's dirt cheap, I paid less than $5 at Rite-aid. I have also been using this in conjunction with Rite-aid renewal 2% acne scrub.
The lotion is lightweight, spreads smoothly, and is extremely tingly for about 15 minutes after it is applied.
Since I have been having such good results with salicylic acid, I'm currently looking for a product with a higher concentration so that my acne scars will fade even faster.
Definitely recommend this product for both acne-clearing and moisturizing of acne-prone skin.

I've been using this product for almost 7 years and still going strong. I have oily skin so i hate any lotion that feels heavy. This lotion just has the perfect right amount that I need. In the winter where i need a little more moisturizing, i would mix this moisturizer with jojoba oil and that would do it. THe BEST!

This is a light moisturizer, but it sinks in and does a good job at nourishing your skin. It tingles a bit because of the acne fighting ingredient, but that tingling is very refreshing, and actually does something; Any occasional breakouts I get can be cured by using this lotion. It does keep pimples at bay, it does clear your skin, and like I said, it moisturizes too. My only problem is that the moisturizing effect isn't a whole 24 hours long, but only about 6 hours, if that. You'll need to apply some more at some point in the day. I wish it was heavier to keep you skin nourished throughout the entire day, but regardless, this product still works. Try it!

Alright so I first bought this product a LONG time ago when I was very young and pretty much had no idea what a moisturizer was honestly I just bought it because I began to have acne (mostly on my chin) and saw really no result. So I quite using it, but I refound around last year and began using it again (I had become really interested in skin care/ makeup and realized what a moisturizer was and what it was for) so I was basically only using it for a moisturizer, because as a moisturizer it is AMAZING it leaves your skin soft, hydrated, and a honestly it gives you a fresh feeling. I defiantly love it as a moisturizer, but if your looking at it for its acne treatment, well then this probably is not right for you because as an acne treatment it really is useless and does nothing for your acne. Other then the acne treatment sucking this product is great! So that’s why I had to give it four stars... all in all though I would repurchase this product.

This is generally a pretty good moisturizer, cheap and easy to use. It doesn't really do a good job in controlling acne but it does make my skin less prone to break outs.

My routine is washing my face with cetaphil gentle skin cleanser, followed by neutrogena blackhead eliminating toner, lastly I apply the Clean&Clear moisturizer. It has 0.5% salicylic acid thus it is good for purifying the face while on the go.

So far my acne has went down alot from this routine.

this is one of the few products i buy over and over again because there simply is no other like it in the same price range. i started using this moisturizer as a teen and still use it now, a decade later. i don't know if anyone else remembers or took notice, but the formula changed a few years back, probably at the same time the packaging changed. i wish it still were the old one, which i think was more moisturizing, had a creamier texture, and smelled better. but the new one is still great.

now that i'm older, my face produces less oil, but is still just as acne-prone, and so it isn't moisturizing enough in the winter. no problem, i mix 1 part Cetaphil lotion with 2 parts of this and it's the perfect acne-fighting moisturizer. in the summer this alone is enough, and i always put it on before sunscreen if i'm going outside.

all in all a great product. wish it came in bigger bottles though since i go through so much.
