I got this as a sample from the company, so thank god I didn't pay for this (it would also be going straight back to the store). This gave me a terrible rash on the inside of my arm. Tiny red bumps on one arm but not the other... I was scared for a moment that this might be bedbugs!! Anyway, upon googling Jergens on the internet I have found that many people had the same experience. Also, due to springtime allergies, I'm on prescription-strength antihistamines... so this is some STRONG stuff!! Ovtherwise, I'd say the smell isn't bad (not too strong), and mostly non-streaky (except where my skin was a little dry on my legs. so be careful). If you have sensitive skin or are prone to product allergies, avoid this stuff.

I totally agree with Nosh's review. The bottle size is WAY to small to be covering large areas (legs/arms) for any amount of time beyond a week. That having been said, it's wonderful stuff. I even use on my face. Even, no smell....yeah, I'll buy again.

Hmm. If I was to rate just the actual tanner here, I would definitely be giving it 5 stars. The only flaws it really has in my eyes are the packaging and size.
First off, 4oz for $7.50 is way too small. This is a thick lotion. I only use Express on my arms and legs and use a regular gradual tanner on the rest of my body, and after 3 uses ONLY on my arms and legs I had to pop the cap off of this and start scraping the remnants from the insides...I expected it to last longer. The bottle makes it impossible to get all of it out even when you take the cap off. And 4oz is just too small anyway.
But besides that, there's not much to dislike. The color is very even. I've been using it every other day and exfoliating before each use, and besides the typical effect where it settles in your pores a little bit on your legs (which you really can only see from very close up) it looks completely natural and even. People keep complimenting my tan and when I tell them it's fake they seem to be impressed and give me the "but it doesn't look orange at all!" comments :)
I'm one of those people who is so pale some brands don't carry foundations light enough for people like me, and I use the medium/tan. I don't know if there even really is a difference between all the formulas, but it seems to be working great so I'm sticking with it.
And for people worried about the scent, fortunately I think the self tanning companies are actually being honest when they say they've reformulated and found ways to nearly eliminate it, because I have horrific memories of self tanner stink in summers past and I haven't had that issue at all this year. (I am using this and Hawaiian Tropic's gradual tanner) Is there some magical ingredient that masks the scent or something? Whatever it is, I like it. The fragrance of the actual lotion smells a lot like an old Loreal Sublime Bronze lotion that I don't think they make anymore.

I Love, Love, Love this stuff. I had previously used the regular natural glow in medium tan, and i liked it, but I never got the tan that I wanted from it. I was in search of a self tanner in CVS and this caught my eye because it was on sale and I had liked Jergens products in the past. I also liked the allure of having it work in three days instead of a full week. I have light olive skin that tans very well in the sun, but I am a fan of sunscreen and I would never go tanning in a bed because 1. its terrible for you and 2. sometimes it makes people turn orange, which is very, very unattractive to me. Once I started using this, a nice, bronze tan began to develop. It worked all over my body, and within three days of use I had a tan that I never could get from a bottle. It is a little streaky on my feet, however I think that part of the body is hard to get right with tanning creams and once I put more of it on the next day, it evened out. If this product starts to streak for you at first, fear not because it will completely even out after the three days. I drench my body in Queen Helene cocoa butter lotion before I put this on and I think that this helps it to apply more evenly. I do agree with other users that the bottle is too small, but I can't complain about the price. I just wish that the bottle was bigger so I wouldn't have to run out to the store every three weeks to get a new bottle (you'll use it up quickly if you use it correctly.) I don't think the price is unreasonable, because it is relatively inexpensive and it works. The bottle should just be made bigger and the price should just be increased proportionately by the weight of it. Definitely recommend. :)

I will agree with others that I'm disappointed with the size of the bottle and the price. I do not like the Jergens gradual self-tanner because of the smell, although I was lured by the promise of a glow in 3 days. The fragrance is nothing like the original formula, and there is absolutely no hint of self-tanner or that yucky chemical smell. I noticed a change of color immediately, and it builds up nicely with multiple applications. I use it most frequently on my arms, as I don't often wear skirts or shorts, even in the summer. I love this -- the only thing I would change, as I said earlier, is offer a larger bottle for the same price.

Before I get to the good things about this product, I would like to say that I am a bit dissatisfied with the size and amount they give you for the price. I think for that price, you should get a bottle that is nearly as big as the regular Natural Glow, but what do I know?
Anyway, I have a rather pale complexion. Not too pale, but it isn't a pale that has pink undertones -- I have more yellow/warm undertones. Therefore, finding any product that gives me a suntan-like look is hard to come by because most of the products out there will turn me even more yellow or orange and it isn't pleasant.
I have been using this off and on for the past three weeks and I absolutely love it. I recently swore off tanning bads and have transitioned into using SPF, so I wanted something that would still give me a nice sun-kissed glow.
It still has a sunless tanner-type scent, but not as bad as most. :) I like it and will probably continue buying it throughout the summer.

I love this stuff! I started tanning (in a bed) and although I liked the glow it gave me, I didn't want to harm my skin anymore. I've tried Jergen's Glow lotion, but I hate the smell of that stuff, and I also wanted to get a nice glow quick! Enter Express Glow. It doesn't smell like the regular Jergen's Glow, and it gets me a nice color in three days flat! After that, I apply it right after my shower 2x a week for a healthy, glowing, bronzed tan. No orange in this whatsoever. Interesting to note, my little sister asked me if I was still tanning (in a bed) and I haven't for three weeks, but she said I looked really tan. My boyfriend also commented he liked my tan :) So apparently this lotion gives a nice, believable, natural tan. I don't apply it full strength though. I try to add a mixture of 70% of Jergens Express, 30% my regular lotion and mix it together in my hand and apply. It makes it last longer :) The only thing I hate is the packaging. The bottle is odd shaped and hard to squeeze, and I wish they made this in a bigger size. I've only had it for two weeks and I need to buy another one. But the results are worth it!

First let me say i have tried almost every self-tanner on the market. My biggest turn-off of most of these is the horrific, dirty sweat smell they leave on your skin that you can still smell even after talking a hot shower...yuck :( This one has a great smell....not one hint of that other "aroma". I have used it all lover including my face 2 days in a row. Right on the first day I noticed a subtle colour showing. I am very fair and most of the other self tanners makes me turn orange.....not this one!! So far I am very pleased and love it even more than the other Jergens Natural Glow regular tanners!! Can't wait to see the colour after day 3!! I would def. recommend!!

I bought the Jergens natural glow express and was skeptical about buying it, with all the bad reviews it got. However I followed the extra tips other people left, which was to put on a daily lotion/mostiuizer on first (I used vaseline advanced healing) then slowly rub on throughly the Jergens natural glow express. I have noticed a slight differnce in it (after one use) and am confident that it will get to the shade I want. I did notice some streaking, however I felt that could of been prevented by rubbing it in more.
UPDATE: After using it for 3 days I am slightly dissapointed :(, I have too much color in my legs and none anywhere else

Great product, and I normally hate the regular Jergens lotion. I use this about once every week and a half, two weeks after an intense exfoliating session. In between that I use Dove for medium/tan skin, and it helps me maintain a pretty dark glow. I used to be a tanning bed/mystic tan junkie -- using a 30 dollar bed per week or a 30 dollar mystic session, and with this product, I've saved my skin and go tanning about every month and a half and maintain the same level of dark.

My skintone is already golden tan but I love using self tanner to give my skin a "glow" that just goes MIA during the winter months. I'm a huge fan of the original natural glow despite the nasty smell everyone complains about. For me, the original formula gives me a much more natural enhancement to my already tanned skintone.
Yes, this one works faster and the color will show up shortly after 1 use, BUT, the color itself is very orangy and unnatural looking.
The tube itself is a pain in the ass because it's hard to get the product out, especially if you are running low. In addition, this one is a lot smaller than the original tube.
Will not repurchase and will stick to the original formula, which by the way, has now added fragance so it doesnt smell so funky.

I have tried a lot of the drugstore brand gradual tanners out there. I am a brunette with very pasty, pale skin in the winter and like a little color. I was always buying gradual tanners in Fair but found that I just wasn't getting enough color so I started buying them in Medium instead. When I saw Jergens Express Glow I figured this might give me gradual color just a bit quicker than the regular one but still a little more mistake proof than a regular self tanner. I bought it in medium.
I have used this product for several days in a row and it has given me a nice light tan, more brown than orange that I sometimes get from the other products. Overall I am happy with the color and it does seem to work a little quicker than the regular one. It is impossible to get away from the smell of self tanner but I don't mind the light almost clean, floral fragrance of Express Glow and the self tanner smell does not seem quite as strong as some other brands. I usually apply it right before bed and then shower in the morning with a nice scented body wash. I have not noticed it staining my sheets although I have seen a little bit of it around the neck of my flannel pj's but it always washes out.
I use this product for several days to get a good base and then I continue to top it up with the regular Jergens or Nivea gradual self tanner. This seems to work without the color becoming orange. I also loofah on a regular basis.
I have only two complaints:
1) I feel it fades just a bit faster than regular gradual tanners but that could just be my skin.
2) I hate the packaging! All other Jergens Natural Glow products are in a soft, easy to squeeze bottle. Express Glow is in a stiff plastic bottle which makes it not only hard to squeeze with lotion covered hands, but makes it hard to get the lotion out when it starts getting low in the bottle.
Overall, I would recommend this product for a slightly quicker tan.

Be VERY careful to take your time applying this stuff! I was tired when I put it on last night after exfoliating and kind of rushed things with my arms, even after reading everyone's comments! (Needless to say, I'm wearing long sleeves today...ha ha...)
Even where I thought I did the best at rubbing it in (my legs) I did notice some streaking and spots, so I think it would be a good idea to pre-moisturize before applying so it spreads a bit easier.
It worked well on my face. And yes, I agree with one of the previous reviews... this is every bit a self-tanner, not a "moisturizing lotion."
I'm only one day in, so I'm giving it a chance to see how things work out. I'll give an update in a few days.
UPDATE: The second day was soooo much better. I took my time applying and everything evened out. I can't believe how dark and natural the color looks already! This is my new HG!

I am loving this product, I am so lazy and hate applying self tanner or even the moisterizers but I love the color I can get on my pale skin
this stuff is awesome, after 1 app I got nice light color, after 2 apps everyone asked me if I started tanning, love it, havent applied it in 2 days and color is still strong, I think I could apply this 2x a week for maintenence and it would be wonderful
love it, application sent is nice, drydown is typical but not super strong like others
pricey for the size but with less applicaiton I think it works itself out
havent tried on face yet

I actually have been using this product on my face and neck for 3 nights in a row and I look like I have an amazing true tan. it does not look fake at all and I noticed color even after the first application. By the 3rd night, my skin is really brown and still so natural looking, exactly how i look after tanning in the sun or tanning bed. I was scared that this would give me acne, as i have mostly oily skin and have mild breakouts often, but it didnt make a difference in the acne department. It is really thick so i wouldnt dare use it in the daytime though. My mother used it on her face and had the same great results. The reason I used this on my face first before trying it on my whole body was because i had been using the jergens face version for a week with no luck. I always be sure and carefully blend around the hairline/jawline to avoid streaks or splotches. I tried this out on my chest tonight as my face/neck is getting way darker than my chest area lol, and so far so good :) This is great and i plan on repurchasing, I just wish it would come in larger bottles.

I was nervous about trying this because there is no light to medium version of the product--that I can find anyway. I am suuuper PALE. Most gradual tanners in pale to med turn me yellow so i was worried about trying this in medium. I did a spot treatment and it looked okay so I tried it and LOVE it. It looks so natural and i've gotten lots of compliments on how much healthier I look, since I normally look like the walking dead. Also, this is not greasy at all. I have very oily skin and have a strong aversion to greasy moisturizers. My only complaint is that the tube is pretty small and have to repurchase more often--but it is sooo worth it. :)

I am not 100% on this one yet, but I got a sample and knew it wouldn't be enough for my whole body so I mixed it with my Hawaiian Tropic gradual self-tanner (Island Glow in Medium) hoping to add some oomph to it (not a big fan of graduals....I like as much colour in as short amount of time as possible since I'm really pale! Usually 2 coats of a regular self-tanner will do me!). I got more colour than expected and it did look natural but not as much colour as I wanted. Still trying though....bought a full size (NOT happy with the amount of product for the price!) and tried it tonight (a full size meant I could mix more of this with the HT) so I will update tomorrow to see how it turns out....
Edit: This method is working quite well! I have been continuing to mix it and get an even, nice, substantially golden glow. Not deep dark but definitely noticeable. My fiance told me I looked nice and brown today. Gives my face and body a really nice colour!

Wow, this is NOT a gradual tanner! Like other reviewers I slapped this stuff on before bed and woke up to horrible streaks and orange feet! Horrible. However, I will try again, exfoliate well, moisturize feet, elbows and knees first and take my time. The parts of my body that aren't streaky has a nice color pay off from just one application.

I love this stuff! It gives me a great natural looking tan! My friends can usually tell when i use fake stuff, but with this they had to actually ask is that real or fake because i can't tell!! I HATE the normal jergens because it peels off my skin like a lizard, but this stuff is a different formula so it wears well and comes off well...I have actually never used it three days in a row or even two.. I used it one day then waited two days and put another coat... After that i waited almost a week to put on a another coat! I have gotten SOOO MANY compliments on my skin complexion about how pretty my skin color is.. And its been only since I've been using this stuff! I also already have kinda tan skin, I'm olive complected so that might help too! This is my new sunless tanner, i just wish it came in a bigger bottle!
