This is my first high end foundation. Unfortunetly it doesn't match my skin and I have Intensity 1, but I adjust it so it's a closer match. This foundation makes my skin look soft and flawless. It covers my severe redness and somewhat controls my oil to the point where it's not moving all over my face.

I have a NC30 complexion and I use this in Intensity 3. I love the colour match, texture and performance of this foundation. It gives great even coverage and stays matte on me for hours even in high humidity. I only needed to blot the oil once or twice in 39 degrees heat on holiday. Great foundation and I'm already on my 2nd tube.

This foundation has not failed me. I'm used to foundations claiming to be transfer resistant under any and all conditions, only to find that they don't work for me. I sweat at the drop of a hat, particularly in these extremely humid and warm climates. This foundation hasn't budged on me in the least, I am extremely pleased! I do get the sensation of a slight tackiness on my skin, but it is not troublesome to me. Do take advantage of a free sample before biting.

Right first of all I have tried EVERY foundation. And I mean just about every one!!
I purchased this today.
I had tried the el double wear original. Got matched up but when I got home and tried it. I had a orange mask on!!!
I'm normally very fair but I've been using the sunbed so got a bit of color as normally the lightest shades can still be too dark for me which is so annoying!! So I can relate.
Now I'm inbtween shades..
Don't you hate it when the lightest shades too pale and the next shade up is orange orange and more orange!!!!
Ahh I've been so stressed testing foundations researching them!
I was looking at some today testing them thinking well this ones too pale and this one is too dark. I actually said in the shop there all orange!!!!
As I was walking out annoyed as I had no foundation at home that worked with me now I caught some color I spotted the EL counter picked up a tube and tested in on my hand. Hmm pretty decent color. Looked like skin I was shocked it wasn't the palest and not orange!
The SA come over and I told her I tried the original DW
Now I have pretty good clear skin. Now and then the odd breakout. I normally used mac or Dior or anything else I've picked up and had to mix about 4 different foundations to get a close color..never came out perfect tho
So I told her I wanted something not too full as I don't need it and I sat down she also said my face was pale to the rest of me lol I know! I needed this foundation.
Anyway she grabbed a tube. In the color I actually tested so was pretty excited as normally when a SA make you up you leave orange haha but she applied it after cleaning some of mine off and blended it. Wow pretty awesome. She said herself it could do with an inbetween shades of these. But I loved this on me. It was skin color!!!!!!! Like squeezing out a bottle of liquid skin and not an orange
I've tested this at home and so far I like it but I'll do a full face tomorrow. I know this is gonna be a happy applying feeling when I'd tested it it sunk in and looked like my skin.

Ok so after reading that here is my cons and pros

Packaging. Squeeze tubes not glamourous like posh glass bottles but you get more product out these plus at the end ya can cut the bottom off and get out every drop!
Coverage pretty good. It's light to medium and that's what it is. I expected more sheer but was just about the right coverage
Price. I paid £27.50 which is ok. Pricey but I don't mind paying for something that works plus from boots she said they do a 10 day return if you don't like it. Didn't even know they did that in the uk so it's well worth buying even the once to try it. What ya losing?
Cons
Nothing so far

Sorry I'm not a lot of help as I haven't tested the wear of it but I do advise trying this as the colors seem true and not orange or yellow :)
I bought shade 2 :)

Oh snap! Have I just found my HG foundation. I love this! LOVE IT!!!! To start off, I have extremely oily skin, like crazy oily with acne scars galore. YES this is the light version of ELDW but keep reading...my two previous foundations (both of which returned) were DiorSkin Forever and MUFE Mat Velvet+. I have also tried Clinique Perfectly Real, Stay Matte, whatever the mattifying Lancome foundation is, and a Laura Mercier one. This by far has the best finish...keep reading...LoL what I mean is it is very buildable: I can put a sheer layer on first and then build up where I need to cover my acne scars. Unlike Mat Velvet+ and Stay Matte which look horrible when built up, this looks amazing and when using a Beauty Blender, you cannot even tell. What sold me on this foundation was that over the course of 10-12 hours (which is a normally how long I will wear makeup in a day) the finish looks great. Yes shine comes through but not a badly as other foundations and what is wonderful is that as it breaks down slightly, the finish doesn't look fake or cakey. It just looks like beautiful skin. Compared to other long-wearing foundations, this really does last a long time. I've had it on today for 9 hours and I work in IT and the foundation is still on there! It's amazing!! The color selection sucks and Intensity 1 is perfect for me right now, but this does oxidize a little on me so just be warned. Oxidization still not as bad as DiorSkin Forever and Mat Velvet+. EL has come out with a great product and this will be repurchased over and over again!!

This foundation is the one go to grab every morning. I'm an NW 20-25 and i use shade no.2. It's perfect for everyday wear i apply it with a stippling brush; it doesn't oxidise and unlike other reviews I find that it has really good buildable coverage. If you like full coverage foundations i would go for my other favourite which is Mac pro long wear - this is great for those bad skin days but I go for ester lauder for its illuminating quality and more natural look.

I love this foundation, I'm in shade 2 and it is EXACTLY my skin tone! It has a little bit of a pink undertone though.
It is light and gives medium to light coverage, just what I need.
Its extremely long wear, by the evening I still see no difference!
The only problem would be its quite pricy, i got it from the bay for around $60.
However i would definitely repurchase
The tube is inconvenient sometimes it squirts too much and it sometimes WONT STOP DISPENSING PRODUCT. So annoying.

This foundation lasts on me for about 3-4 hours tops. Which frankly, is very good compared to others i've tried in the past..
Its coverage is good. The colour I bought was Shell Beige and it blends with my skin tone perfectly. The only problem was the packaging, if i left it standing upright and then unscrewed the lid a lot of the product would pour out of the hole and all over my carpet which isnt good for the carpet or ofcourse for my wallet, i've learned to put this into a little pot from the beginning of use and then things like that wont be happening. Overall this product has been very useful for covering blemishes, and reduced shiny-ness<-- is that a word?:/ but it certainly didnt disappoint!

Love Estee Lauder foundations but this one is nice alternative to the regular Double Wear. I apply this with a foundation brush and brush on some Lancome Dual finish for a nice, matte finish.

Pros:
Extremely long wearing!
Doesn't feel heavy.
Doesn't oxidize.
Unscented.
Doesn't irritate sensitive skin.
Colors are slightly less pink than the original Double Wear.
Easier to blen than the regular double wear.
Easy packaging (tube)

Cons:
The finish has a somewhat but not overly luminous sheen to it. A lot of people like this but I need to set it with some powder.
Doesn't photograph amazingly well as all Estee Lauder foundations show a ghastly white cast in flash photograpy.

Im NC20 and I use no.2. I have oily skin and a few scars.
When I first swatched this I saw some glitter in it. I asked the SA if it contains shimmer and she stared at me like I was mad and said NO, theres no shimmer in it HAHA
WRONG. There is shimmer in this foundation, not alot but still. I sparkle quite a bit when I wear this. But Im super fussy about sparkles :/
This foundation gives such a light coverage. Its almost too sheer, like a tinted moisturizer.
Its great for summer but to be honest, I would never spend this much money for something that doesnt cover. A friend even commented and said that its NO difference when Im wearing this compared to my naked face.
I have really oily skin and this made me greasy after a few hours.
Its not a bad foundation but it didnt suit my skin.
I will not repurchase.

I have been living off a sample of this for a few days (one sachet is lasting me so far!) but have mixed feeling about his. First, and most importantly for me, is is not breaking me out. But its early days. Secondly, it gives good coverage. I have a fair few acne scars, which are fading, but enough for me to require at least a medium coverage foundation, without having to resort to lots of concealer.

The downside to this is the colour matching. I have this in Intensity 2 (I am about 20/25 in Mac) but the colour is a bit too orange for me. The Intensity 1 is way too light for me, so I could do with 1.5 really. It also shows up every bit of dry skin I have - even after moisturising immediately before applying foundation. I have tried to do it different ways i.e. leaving time between the two, not leaving time. I can still see dry flakes that other foundations don't show. I also notice that my t-zone get oily quite quickly with this, although blotting does sort this out. I suppose that when my dry patches have cleared up (only have them at the moment as I have been using BP) then this may be for me. I have found using clean fingers gives me a sheerer and better finish than using a brush, as using the brush makes it too heavy for me and I can feel it on my face.
So my conclusion is that I would only consider buying this if they extend the range of the colours and my skin is in slightly better condition. And if it doesn't break me out.

I've been very happy with this product for a long time BUT for the fact that I need to buy both no.2 and no.3 and mix them. EL have been in this buisness way too long to provide such a limited shade range. Yes, I agree it's sheer and subtle, so in theory colour matching should be simple as the finish should sort of blend and sink in with no definite colour line but the difference between no2 and no3 is is very apparent on the skin. My ideal shade would be 2.5. I have quite a common skin tone so I can only imagine that there would be a healthy market for an inbetween shade. Other than that gripe, I highly recommend the product. I finish with a light sweep of DW powder. I've been stuck on this foundation for over 2 years now - that is very very good going for me. I have a a whole crate of foundations and the fact that I have repeat purchased this is something to be said. At my age, (combo skin), I would recommend moisturising well beforehand. Good luck .

I really love this foundation. It's hard to find that happy medium between makeup that offers good coverage and yet doesn't look too solid and cakey on your face. This is the best I've yet found for that job. It goes on light, but it still does a great job of blending, and hiding my slightly red nose. Having said that, it's not perfect for every occasion. Sometimes I feel it might be a bit too light for those times when you really want perfect skin. But it's absolutely perfect for everyday wear! I'll definitely buy it again. (I'm very pale and I've got the lightest shade)

I'm a big fan of this foundation. I use the lightest shade possible and it still gives me quite a bit of color, so if you're extremely fair-skinned, I would skip this foundation. I'm pretty fair-skinned with freckles and it doesn't make me look like a ghost. One tube lasts me quite a while along with concealer, and it gives a very natural finish when set with translucent powder. Definitely my go-to foundation.

I have developed a sort of love-hate relationship with ELDWL. Love that it is light coverage. Love that it will last all day. Love that it is neither greasy or drying. Love that it is not cakey. Hate the shade range. As the coverage is very light, I think EL is banking on "exact match" being less of an issue. They are partly correct. While the sheer would cover a wider range than a medium or full cover product, there is still some "fringe" at the edges-I am NW25ish and shade 2 is a bit on the light side, but there is such a color jump from 2 to 3 that 3 is too dark. So either I buy both and blend, or use 2 and extra bronzer, or buy 3 and use some product to lighten it out. I prefer a one step foundation. As I otherwise actually do like the product, like the feel, love the way it wears and lasts, I will give 4 lippies. Penalty for limited shade range, which I acknowledge is more a me issue than a product issue. If the shades work for you, definitely recommend if you are looking for a long lasting, light cover foundation.

The foundation is best applied with fat top kabuki (sigma f80). It gives a medium to full coverage. Because the spf is only 10 I have to use extra sunblock under the foundation (elta md physical sunblock spf 45 - matte finish and skip the estee lauder concealor and primer. The primer is useless) and either maybelline dream matte or estee lauder double matte depends on my mood to set the foundation :) - BTW I'm intensity 2 - And 2NW2 on invisible fluid. To remove this foundation I use shiseido ultimate cleansing oil on the makeup, massage it for 10-15 sec and wipe it with tissue then repeat another round of cleansing oil but this time i rinse it with water. After rinse off the cleansing oil I wash my face with this history of whoo whitening cleansing foam twice to make sure i don't have any make up left. I've been using this everyday for last 2 months and so far so good. No break out yet.

It's really hard to work with it no matter how quick you are, dries up real fast. Felt very dry on my face and uncomfortable. Also broke me out -at least a zit- whenever I used it. The color looked orange as it dried. After a while, I let the whole bottle sit in the drawer beyond expiry date and it never got much use. What a pitty and waste of money!
