The Venus Embrace comes with the razor handle, two cartridges, and a shower pod with suction cups. I like the shower pod because it uses suction cups instead of double sided tape like the other Venus razors. You can store two extra cartridges in the shower pod. The handle has nice grippy rubber on most of the razor. The hard plastic goes through the whole razor which makes it much more sturdy than the other Venus razors. The razor has five blades which are a lot thinner to reduce space. On top of the blades, there is a strip of aloe. Below, there is a strip of rubber to help stretch your skin to get a closer shave. There is a ribbon of moisture all around the blade. The ribbon is not level with the blades so you can get a close shave. The head pivots very easily. I get very close shaves with this razor and my legs are very moisturized afterwards. I really like the fact that when they are not wet, the strip of aloe and the ribbon of moisture is dry so it doesn't stick to anything. With my old schick razor, the strip of aloe would be sticky even when dry. On the second day after you shaved, you still can't really see any hair, but you can feel very very light stubble. I love this product, but the extra cartridges are a bit expensive. But, hey, you get what you pay for. You can make them last longer though, because it isn't because you shave your hair with the razor that the razor gets so dull, it's also because of oxidation.(Rusting) So, if you just wipe the blades when you are done, you can make your razor last a lot longer!!!! Hope this review was helpful.

I like my shick quattro better. This didnt give me the close shave that I wanted, and this felt very rough on the skin. Even the Gilette 5 blade razor for men is alot better than this. I dont think I will be buying this again.

One of the best razors I have ever used, it was so good I could practically use it dry (of course, that's not recommended). However, it was way too expensive to keep buying the blades and they became dull rather quickly, so while I hate to not give this a rave review, I can't because they are just too darn expensive to keep up with.

Edit: Ok, I lied, it's worth the money. I'm a fanatic about having super smooth legs, and all other razors pale in comparison.

Ok, I love this razor. They are exensive though, as any blade refills are. I love the 5 blades. It gives me a nice clean shave and makes my legs feel very silky. The shower holder case that mine came with was useless however.

I dont know if its just me but I absolutely hate this razor. It is very drying and makes scraping sounds as I shave. Even when I change the blade!! Ive used many different shaving creams and nothing helps with this razor. Ive also noticed that the skin on my shins is so DRY and scaly and its June; it is not cold out for this to be happening!!! Im going to switch brands today and see what happens... YUCK

This is a pretty nice razor. I don't think I have ever had one that glides over my skin so smoothly. I like the packaging and that it comes with a razor holder that also holds the refills. I've noticed that the blades don't really get dull... I've been using it for a month and now and the blades seem as sharp as the first day. My only problem is that since I'm so used to pressing down hard from my previous razors, I tend to cut myself with this one.

Great razer. It gets all my hair and I have really thick coarse hair for a girl. It leaves my skin feeling soft for about a day, but then hair starts growing like weeds again. I don't think I can ever find a razer that leaves my leg silky smooth for more than a day, so this will do for now.

I bought the costco pack for around 30 bucks, which came with a holder and 10 refills. I change blades like twice a year (i like them a bit dull), so this 30 dollar investment will last me for a long time.

I love this razor. I have super sensitive skin and this really helps reduce irritation. Plus, the more blades the better! How can I ever go back to 4 blades?? The ONLY problem with this is I have had the razor handle snap in half.. twice! The Venus Divine handle is a bit sturdier, and the Embrace cartridges fit on that, so I've mixed and matched them. They are definitely expensive... but I can't NOT buy them.

I used my husband's five blade razor until I found the Venus Embrace. This razor has wonderful moisture strips and I rarely need shaving cream. I shave every other day, three spots on my body and these last me about two weeks. You do need to use pressure to get every spot on your knees, but this is definitely the best razor I've ever used.
I highly recommend this razor, and the best cream to use with it is Cetaphil cleanser. Try this combo and I promise you won't go back to a canned shaving cream again!

I love all Gillette Venus Razors. I have this one, the original Blue one and the Devine (pink One?)...I use this one as extra for travel/when I'm away from home. These are the only razors that I have been using and loved. I tried maybe one or 2 other razors but go back to this one. Works for me. The only one that gets a close shave and doesn't cut me. The only thing is that I don't find any difference in performance from the original(blue), Devine(pink) or this one (green). All works the same for me.

I've never found a razor that does much for me, but I kinda know what the problem is, I just deal with it. When I shave against the grain (no matter what I do- use shaving cream/gel, exfoliate, put products on afterwards, etc.), I get very bad ingrown hairs and my hair grows back super quick whether I'm using one blade or 5. So I have to shave everyday because I can't STAND stubble, and that breaks open the hairs that are caught under the skin and creates red bumps all over my legs. I've tried everything and nothing solves this problem, so i was hoping 5 blades would make me need to shave less often, but for me, it makes no difference. Still need to shave everyday, still cut myself a million times with a new blade. After using this I went back to Venus' original 3 blade razor because it's cheaper but I should probably get something even cheaper than that because nothing works for me! Shaving with the grain prevents alot of irritation, but my legs stay stubbly and I CANNOT STAND THAT.

Expensive for a razor, plus the refills are pricey too. No matter what i do, i always get black dots on my leg after i shave. It really sucks haha. I would not buy this razor again. the good thing is, you can go rough AND around your knee cap, and you dont get cut!

This is the BEST Razor I have ever used. It has replaced my old Favorite, Schick Quattro. Nothing has ever made my legs this smooth my only complaint is the price for the refills. I will pay for them anyways since the razor works so well. I can't imagine a razor ever being better than this. I would suggest everyone try it, You can't go wrong with this one.

After seeing the price of the Venus Embrace, I almost didn't buy it. Almost didn't.
I gave it a shot and found that the razor worked beautifully for me. I have very dry, sensitive legs, making them more prone to being nicked and cut by razor blades. I have only been cut by the venus twice, both times I was at fault- not the razor.
One of the venus razor heads also lasts a very long time, meaning that I don't have to buy cartridges as often. (The price for four cartridges here is $13.89) The price is terrible, but I'm bearing it.
It cut cleaning around my knees without leaving any sight of hair unless I missed a spot.
I really liked this razor and found the design unique, although the joint between the head of the razor and the handle makes me have to press harder to get the resultsI require.

What could be better than 5 blades? Well, in my case, 4 is better than 5. I find the disposable cartridge to be large, and since the pivot (where the handle attaches) is that the end of the 5 blades (the pivot point is in the middle of most smaller razors) I find that to use this I have to keep the handle 90° from the body part I'm shaving. Very awkward, indeed! I am also not able to shave around my knees as well and am left with minor stubble almost immediately after shaving (because of head size and decreased pressure due to the design and placement of the pivot point), although my calves and thighs are nice and smooth. I hate hairy knees. Yuck.
If I have to find something nice to say then I'll say that the color of the razor is pretty (a soft minty green), it's very light weight, and the finger grips on the handle are very nice (as they are on all Venus razors).

The best razor and blades hands down. If there were a ten blade razor out there, I would buy it because my legs are just too hairy and I shave from ankle to bikini line. This razor does an amazing job without nicks and other problems like razor burn. It also cleans very easily under running water and lasts quite a long time before I have to change the blade. And trust me, I give it a major workout!

The Venus Embrace is the best razor on the market, after being so angry over Breeze, I wasn't even sure I wanted to bother but the fact that it has 5 blades, it really does get every single hair in one swipe. My legs are super smooth afterwards & it lasts a few days.
