I love the coverage of this foundation. One of the cons is that I didn't really notice it do as it claims by controlling shine. My face was oily within an hour. I feel like this foundation makes my face more oily than it normally gets. Another con is that it made me get about two or three pimples. I never got pimples until I started using this product. The packaging isn't very good either. I read some reviews commenting on the "gritty texture" that's because the foundation contains rice protein complex.

I'll start with the pros. The lightest shade is a dupe of NAR's Siberia. If you're super pale & warm toned like me you'll know all too well what a pain in the *** it is to find such light shades!
I also really love the concept of this, shine controlling make up. I'm very oily & most foundations only further make me look like a greaseball.
Now for the cons... It's a shame Nuetrogena did such a bad job with this product, as it could of easily have been a best seller. My biggest complaint is the texture. Who else thought something must of been wrong with the batch they got? Ive learned that I'm not alone on this & that every bottle is the same. It's literally gritty, like dollar store toothpaste. I felt like I was applying water mixed in with sand to my face. If feeling it wasn't bad enough - trust me, it didn't look good either! The shine controlling ingredients only worked for about an hour.
I will not repurchase nor reccomend.

First, I'm extremely fair, and the classic ivory tone completely matched me. It does control my near the nose and t zone oil for hours, I apply this with a beauty sponge, and I don't notice any "cakey-ness" and then go over it with a matte powder. The only thing I can say bad about this product is that its a pain to get out of the bottle, and since there's no wand in the cap I tip it over on the back of my hand and continuously tap it till I get enough out.

Ug. Where to start with this foundation. I literally hated everything about this product. First, the packaging. This foundation has the tiniest opening I've ever seen, and the formulation is so thick that it's impossible to get out of the bottle. Second, this foundation claims to "control shine" but it made my face oilier than any foundation I've ever tried. Third, the formula. I have pale skin with pink undertones, so I tried the 20 Natural Ivory color. The other ivory option, I think Classic Ivory, was way too yellow-toned for me, but the Natural Ivory was too dark. This foundation has little grainy bits (Rice Protein Complex?) that I guess are supposed to help cut down shine. I applied this with a damp sponge, over moisturizer, and patted and blended as much as should have been necessary, and I still ended up with little grainy bits all over my skin. I don't recommend this product AT ALL. And at around $14, it's a total waste of money. Stay away!

I bought this awhile back and mind you i have combo skin, but for it to say its shine control? I got so oily from this that i felt it on my face. I like the coverage but thats about it. Overall i think with the powder it didn't help much with mattifying, I will not repurchase

Does not work at all! I tried everything I could think of. Bought the foundation, the primer and the powder. Did not moisturize my t-zone. Blotted at 1 1/2 hours, so much oil and it had melted off. Tried using witch hazel as a toner before the primer, no difference. The only reason I will consider keeping it is because of the spf 20 which uses the non-irritating sunscreens zinc oxide and titanium oxide. However, I keep the glass bottle covered because the sunscreen properties will degrade if exposed to continual light. This would be used only in situations where I need the sun protection and don't care what I look like. What good is it then? When are we going to wise up and STOP believing the marketing machine?? Back to Colorstay when I want to look good.

I bought this a couple of weeks ago in an attempt to return to liquid foundation after years of mineral powder loyalty. My "3" rating may seem mediocre, but I have been very pleasantly surprised. The color match was spot on for me. It provides just the right medium coverage for me without being cakey and certainly keeps my shine in check for several hours. More than I expected! Worth a try for those who don't relish spending tons on basic products.

I loved this foundation the first two days I wore it. I'm very pale and I like foundations with a more yellow tone to them as they cancel out any redness on my face. Classic ivory had a very nice yellow tone to it and was just the right amount of sheer coverage I was looking for. I have dry skin and though this foundation says it's "Shine Control" I had no problems with it drying my skin out or making me flaky, if anything, it gave my skin a nice semi-dewy finish, just enough to make me look healthy. When applying I did notice it was, well, gritty. No other way to put it. I didn't look gritty on my face though, so I didn't really care, I did care when it started breaking my skin out. I stopped using it pronto, and my skin returned to normal after a week or so. What a bummer. I really liked this stuff. Oh well.

First I want to say that I have VERY oily skin...I have not found a foundation that is full coverage without being too heavy. I got coupon for this foundation and figured Id try it. Well I was excited, even though the reviews were mostly negative. I tried it and now I understand what they mean by it being grainy. I used a wet sponge to apply it and figured this may help it from being overdrying or hard to apply. Nope! Still put it on and within 5 seconds it looked like my whole face was peeling. I went to touch my skin and it was coming off on my hands it lil peices of dried makeup. It was so gross. I did not have time to take it off so I wiped away all the grainy bits then it looked ok. After 1 hr my face was soooo oily. At end of day it looked cakey and gross...PLEASE STAY AWAY FROM THIS PRODUCT! But if udo find a good oil control or oil free foundation Please let me know.

Usually I read a thousand reviews on a product before I buy it, but this was an impulse buy and when I got it home and read the reviews I was kind of bummed, as they weren't great. Anyways, I love this foundation, a lot. The coverage is really similar to Healthy Skin, they both have this amazing ability to cover spots, but still let my skin (and freckles!) show through. It does keep me shine free for a few hours longer than normal foundations, with powder of course. The 'grainy' texture doesn't bother me at all. I don't think I would have noticed had I not read the reviews, as when you apply this with a brush you really can't feel any of the grains. The packaging is horrendous, though. It's pretty, but the makeup doesn't come out easily and I always wind up just dipping my brush into the glob on top, which is totally unhygienic but there's really no other way to get it out. I may try storing it upside down to make getting it out easier. Would defs rebuy.
