I bought and used a bottle of this a few months ago because of the positive reviews here. At first I thought I really liked it, because it felt gentle and removed all of my makeup on my easily irritated skin. But then, the more I thought of it, I didn't think my skin looked any better than before I had started using it. If anything, it felt dry. So I have stopped using it (sure, right after I bought a new bottle online! Ack!) It won't do you any harm, I just think there are better options out there.

This cleanser was a huge disappointment!:
- i need to wash twice to make sure my m/u is removed

- you need to splash your skin with *a lot* of water to wash it off, and even then there's still that slimey residue!
- *stings my eyes!!!* -- This was the most annoying thing, and is the reason I would never repurchase a cleanser. Face washes should never do this.

I will be returning to my HG face wash, Sage Regular Facial Shampoo. I only wish I never strayed!

decided to try this when i was looking for a gentle foaming cleanser. i thought i would like it b/ of the good reviews but this cleanser doesn't work for me. it does clean and get makeup off, however i found it to be too drying for my oily skin. i also hated how completely impossible it was to rinse off! it left an icky slimy feel on my face no matter how much water i splashed on.

This is one of my favorite face washes. I feel that it cleans well, yet doesn't overdry my skin. And it's not too expensive.

Arrrgghhh! After all the raves, I had high hopes for this one, and was sorely disappointed. I've been having a bit of a skin crisis lately, after experimenting with a number of different products and lines. In an effort to get back to a gentle cleanser that would heal my poor complexion, I tried the Olay. First, the pump stinks. It's ornery and sputters at you half the time when you try to dispense the product. Second, I don't mind a product that doesn't rinse off squeaky clean, but this was *extremely* filmy and difficult to tell when you were done rinsing. Third, my skin isn't getting any better. Bummer! So it's back to the old trusty Cetaphil for me. I know this works great for a lot of people, but my combo/sensitive/mature skin hated it! :-(

wanted to love this but it made my skin feel tight right away. May be the citric acid???

Yuck.

Leaves a film, and I never know when I have rinsed enough. I really don't need a film left behind by cleansers b/c, like most of you, I use an SPF lotion, which already has glyerin and emollients. A cleanser just needs to clean, not leave stuff behind.

But for those who like the moisturizing film, this wash is very gentle and doesn't sting or irritate.

I ran out of my HG cleanser (AH foam face wash). Anyway, had to find something else. Ended up trying this cleanser. Very nice. Leaves my face feeling very soft. Very gentle cleanser. Better than Purpose moisturizing IMO. That's the only prob, it's somewhat moisturizing. This will be my new HG cleanser in the winter. As for the summer, I'm sticking with AH or Purpose foam face wash. Will repurchase in the colder months.

My skintype is rosacea/dry/prone to breakouts, and I have been using this for about 4-5 weeks. It was recommended to me on the skincare board and is now my hg cleanser. It removes all of my makeup and doesn't strip. I also started using the new replacement cleanser with aloe, and it is great as well.

I love this cleanser on my sensitive, oily, break-out prone skin! I've used Darphin, Pevonia, and many other expensive cleaners. While they were good, they weren't better than this $4 one I purchase at Walgreen's around the corner. And it really does CLEAN the skin. I hardly need a toner. As one reviewer said: avoid the eye area, it does sting the eyes. Otherwise, it's perfect!
