this product never did work on me, as i tried it numerous times.
the smell is horrible to go with it. i actually had someone walk up to me and say.. "why do you smell so.. dirty today?"

yeah. that was definitely a smack in the face to me to realize that im never using this product again.

I hate self tanners - I am a clutz and always end up with weird streaks and missing places. This seemed like the perfect solution to gradually build a tan sans spots. The scent isn't as bad as tradtional self tanners - smells more like skin after a visit to a tanning bed than the normal chemical tanner smell. After a week and a half of using this product, i barely saw a difference in my skin. I looked a bit more tan inthe already tan places (arms, face - bought the face product too) but the rest looked a bit more yellow, but that's about it. Wasn't worth the time and i have used the Dove version since and have seen better results. Must say that the facial product is good - oil free, very dry feel, didn't cause breakouts, absorbs nicely, though can't replace a daily moisturizer because so dry and without sunscreen.

I think this is a fairly good product although it stinks! I would put it on before bed when I would get a shower and then by the time I would go to school the next day it would stink even more! It was so gross it would sometimes even give me headaches! I would have to wash it off before school from then on because i couldnt deal with the stink on me all day. I recently switched to the dove energy glow and I am quite happy with it! It works about the same color wise or maybe even better plus it smells much better! Hope this tip helps you!

why is everyone complaing about the 'HORRIBLE ODAR" okay its not that bad what do you expect from a self tanner...me and my friends like it. the color is just okay nothing special i like how cheap it is though, i had a llittle streaking with this idk my mom likes it...strike gold is WAY better, at bath and body works.

How I love the color I get from this product (in light), but, alas, the processing smell is just overwhelming so I have switched to Hawaiian Tropic which is much nicer. I would go back to Jergens in a heartbeat if they could overcome the scent issue.

I bought this product approximately one month ago after an obsession with maintaining my goddess-like spray tan from the salon. Because the tanner provides a "natural" progression, I was constantly applying the lotion 2-3 times a day due to my lack of patience. When the tanner finally did kick in, I was disappointed with the results. It produced what I could only describe as an orange blotchy color and whats worse was that it stained all my towels! That was the deal breaker right there as I was disgusted to see my gorgeous white towels with orange streaks (my boyfriend has commented on how the streaks resemble borderline skid-marks...not cool!!!!) I have tried to pawn off the remaining product to my friends and they would not touch it with a ten foot pole! If you care about your skin and your towels, this is not the product for you!

When I first began using it, it worked great. The smell didn't bother me, although it took a long time to dry. I stopped using it when i ran out and when i resumed a week later, it was all blotchy and it turned me orange.

i have this for fair skin and the one for fair skin on the face. i like them both.. i found if i use it either before or after other lotion, i have a streak free application.. i am super-white and it only made me orange when i used it without an other lotion.

I have naturally light tan skin and wanted a little darker so I tried this product and it was really nice until days later it started to blotch & it looked horrible. It's not worth it to look all blotchy. i would not try again

I started off with the Jergens for fair skin, as I am relatively pale. Used it for over a week and did not develop a noticable colour change whatsoever.

Based on favoring reviews, I purchased the medium skin tones one.

Not happy at all with this product. It takes forever to dry (30-60mins!), does not go on evenly. I also noticed that the next day this product will rub off on my towel after I shower (thats 24hrs after application!) When the product starts to fade, it leaves blotches on the skin. It comes off way too easily.

I guess you get what you pay for, eh?
