I give Jergens props for being the first to market with this product - it was a genius idea. That said, I think they could make a few improvements. First, the smell. I didn't find the smell bad at all at first. However, if you put it on in the morning - you then live with the scent as it turns during the day and it isn't pretty. Second, the color is gradual which is great for those of us scared of tanner. But, I think it's a little too gradual so the color could be enhanced.

I'm very fair. I have tried a lot of fake and bakes and when I heard the pheonomenal reviews on this product I was SO excited. I showered, exfoliated from head to toe & slathered on my jergen's lotion.
I noticed color on the third day. I had a lot of streaking and visibly ORANGE spots. Idk what happened but I was following the instructions to a T and I still looked totally fake. Not worth it - might work well for warm toned people so the olive undertones take on and counteract the color of the lotion..

I like this stuff. I used the lightest shade and It gave my skin a nice bronze hue after using it a few days in a row. Very subtle but noticable at the same time. It also didn't look orange at all. Not to metnion that (besides the sunless tanner after smell) it smells really nice and fresh.

seriously i dont understand why people are making such a big deal out of the smell of this product. i mean it's not that pleasant but that also is not the point of this anyway. i find it acceptable cuz for me it fades overnight. the colour develops so natural, on the fifth day i think i already had that amazing colour i wanted(i used medium as i am naturally rosy fair.) later i went tanning and i actually felt regretful cuz the fake colour looked so much better rather than the burned look caused by real tanning.i have always go tanning in summer but i think i'll stop.

this is the first self-sunless tanning lotion i've ever bought and i don't plan on purchasing anything else... it's only been 3 days and i just love the color it left on me =] it really lives up to its name of "natural glow".. plus the smell is not all that bad~ :D i just wonder how long the color will last.....

I'm not really sure why I bought this product; not really sure why it's supposed to be better than a plain old self-tanning product. It was tediously slow to develop color and I really did hate the smell. I bought both body and face types in the lightest color (I'm very fair). I'm back to my good old Neutrogena bronzing foam because a) I can tell where I'm putting it so less streaking and b) it gives instant color then deepens over the next few hours and I don't have to reapply it day in and day out.

Love what the product does but hate the smell...

I love them for being the first to introduce this concept and I was an ADDICT until I discovered some of the newer competitors, but the drawbacks are smell (I only use it at night and other people said they didn't notice, but I could smell it) and after time it takes on an orange cast. Also, it rubbed off some on my towels. I like Hawaiian Tropic and Banana Boat better. Don't bother with the Target version of this either, it isn't as effective.

I bought this a little over a week ago. I used it every day right before bed, and I really like the results. It gives a very natural colour and I noticed a subtle change within about 3 applications, and no streaks. The smell, however, is horrible. I wasn't expecting it to smell so bad. The first morning after I used it I wondered what smelled so terrible; it was all over my sheets and my entire room seemed to stink. I don't think I'll be purchasing this again because I can't deal with the smell for much longer, and I'm usually not at all sensitive to fragrances. If the smell doesn't bother you then it's a great product, but if you're at all sensitive fragrances I wouldn't recommend this.

I think I've tried about every self-tanner and gradual self tanner there is and I would have to say that this is among the best. The color it gives is very natural and since it goes on gradual, you don't have to worry about it being too dark. It's not orange either. I don't think the smell is bad at all. I put it on at night after taking a shower and go to sleep. When I wake up, I don't usually smell it.
UPDATE: While I still don't mind Jergens Natural Glow, I have found something better, so I can no longer call it the best. I believe that Hawaiian Tropic's Island Glow is the best.
