Am I the only one who doesn't like the smell of this product? The function is fine - moisture in a lotion, check - but I find the scent chalky, dry, off-putting. Maybe I will use it on my feet, far away from my nose.

I adore the chocolately smell. I use it when I wear the following perfumes because it blends so well: Angel, Demeter Chocolate Mint and Sticky Toffee Pudding, Body Shop Vanilla (as you can see I am a big fan of foody scents). My sister can't bear it though so i think it could be a love it/hate it thing!! I also find it very moisturising and I don't mind the boring packaging, in fact I find it quite quaint. The lotion is a bit thick for the pump though.

I positively love this stuff! I bought it for work, then I bought another for home, and I have a little sample tube of it that I can put in my purse (it came with the bottle free when I first bought it!). The price is excellent for the quality and quantity of the product. The smell is to die for, and it works really well. Little greasy going on, but sinks in well. I know two other people at work who use this and swear by it. I have both the bottle and the jar. I like the bottle better, only because it's easier and more convenient, but the jar is good for getting just a bit to target small, very dry areas.

Thanks to all the wonderful reviews on MUA I found this product-and I'm so glad I did! It has that great cocoa scent that vaguely reminds me of something from my childhood, AND I only have to apply it once a day. The only drawback is that it seems to be reacting badly to my body chemistry and making my hands reek (not anywhere else I apply it, just my hands), so I have to scrub them after applying it elsewhere-but it's totally worth it for such a fantastic product.

UPDATE: I think it was something in my diet that was making it smell bad on me-I've changed a lot of what I eat lately, and I no longer have that problem. Yay! I think it might be helping my nails too (but it might just be a good for my cuticles, so the nails are growing healthier.) Either way, I'm really in love with this product.

I love this! A couple of years ago, a lady at a small hair and makeup shop kept gushing over it, and gave me some samples and since then I've loved it. It's quite thick and makes my skin feel so smooth and soft. It's a bit shiny and greasy at the start for me, but that fades after a couple of minutes. Very cheap too! Putting this on my hands and feet before I go to bed is the nicest thing ever. The only thing is that it is too thick towards the end to get out of the bottle, so I always end up cutting through it with scissors.

For the low price of this, I was astounded by the texture and the smell, and the overall quality. It is impressive and has a delicious smell of candy and chocolate. It reminds me of fresh hot chocolate. It is super moisturizing and absorbs easily. Better for winter, but okay for summer tanned skin as well. I would never put this on my face though. Wonderful product for a wonderful price. Will always have this around.

I wanted to like this after reading and hearing so many raves but unfortunately something in it must have irritated my skin. I'm not sure if it's not moisturising enough (though I can't see how that can be considering how thick it is and how most say that it's extremely moisturising), but it made my skin itch like crazy! The kind of itch you get when your skin is extremely dry during the winter months.
I liked the smell, though it was a little strong and my roommate was always suspecting I had chocolate into the room and didn't want to share!

This product kicks butt! I have used it for about 7 years now and it moisturizes very well (for those who can get ashy, this is for you). The product smells great and also fades scars and red stretch marks. My only complaint is that it is too heavy for the summer so I end up switching to the lotion, which I believe is less effective.

I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the cocoa butter and have used it everynight without fail for years. I love the yummy smell and the way it sinks into your skin and makes it so smooth. (I do not use it all over every single night as I find it a little to rich, but at least twice a week and every night on drier areas, with a light moisturiser on rest) I often get compliments about the scent, which means if I'm using it in the daytime I use unscented (which for some reason I don't find as great but I think that might just be in my head)so as not to clash with perfume. A must have staple body moisturiser.

Haha, Hudie, I'm afraid I'm going to have to disagree w/ you and the many other raves that this product received. Fortunately, I don't actually own a bottle, but I did test my dad's. One, it's a bit too greasy for my taste, as I despise lotions that just sit on my skin. Two, the smell is too chocolatey. I don't mind smelling sweet, but this made me feel like a pastry, blah. Three, the bottle reminds me of shoe polish...not cute. I will say one positive thing, though. I imagine that when this product FINALLY soaks into your skin (if ever), then it probably does have good moisturizing capabilities. Don't recommend this...Queen Helene all the way!

I bought this today & really like it. It definitely has a chocolatey smell. Not too strong, but I actually would prefer a more chocolatey smell. Its kind of greasy, but very moisturizing, this seems like it would be good for pregnant women, who want to avoid getting sretch marks. At least that is what I would use it for.

This stuff smells really nice and sweet like chocolate, it isn't greasy like other cocoa butters and it goes on smooth and works great on dry skin and scars and things of that sort

i purchased a little sample sized bottle of this at my local london drugs for a dollar. at the time, i was experiencing an allergic reaction on my face that caused my skin to look and feel red, flaky, itchy, and sore, all at once. i applied this product over these areas and within a day and a half my skin was completely healed. i now use the lotion on my body after showers and love how it is not at all greasy but leaves the skin very moisturized and glowing. this product is an absolute steal and anyone who has not tried this yet definitely must!! one warning though- the lotion smells like chocolate and i often find myself tempted to eat it!!!

i cant say enough good things about this lotion! ive tried several chocolate scented lotions, and synthetics just dont come close to recreating the scent that cocoa butter gives.
the scent isnt too chocolatey, but it is completely reminiscent. the scent is strong, but not overwhelming. it seriously lasts for hours.
i dont generally need an all over body lotion, but i apply lotions because theyre fun, and they smell good. if lotions were unscented, i doubt i would use them much. other lotions relieve a dry feeling, but this is the only product ive found that actually makes my skin rediculously buttery soft. it is a bit greasy on the palms for a few minutes, but after that it sinks right in.
the packaging is the most hideous ive ever seen, but ill live! this lotion is so cheap, and is the most effective one out there. it would be a godsend if you were perpetually dry and uncomfortable.

As with the nut body butter, I really liked the smell at first but got sick of it after awhile. However unlike the TBS nut body butter it does feel nice on the skin...not greasy or sticky at all.

I lemminged this product after reading all the reviews of it around here -- and now I'm on my second bottle. I can't stay away from Palmer's Cocoa Butter lotion! It leaves my skin really soft but not greasy, and I love the cocoa powder smell. I also love that there's a good drugstore-brand lotion for me -- I'm tired of spending tons of money on tiny bottles of deliciously-scented lotions that don't work this well.
