I love this product. Some people may not be able to get past the chocolate smell, but they do make this exact same lotion in a fragrance-free version. After shaving I love lavishing in a good lotion all over, but most lotion tend to sting my skin after shaving, but this lotion is perfect. It doesnt have any stinging agents only good soothing ones. It also is a wonderful skin toner! It now comes in two types of packaging, the pump and the tube. I would recommend the tube because you can squeeze just about the very last drop out of it. It is hard to get as much out of the pump bottle.

GREAT STUFF! I bought this b/c of everyone's approval rating, and I am NOT disappointed at all!!!
This is a holy grail for dry skin and it smells like either chocolate and peanut butter, or cocoa powder mix for cocoa!
I have the tube and the pump, and I like the tube the best b/c the lotion is thicker, almost like a paste and it leaves a nice sheen!
This is an EXCELLENT winter moisturizer, and it is a DEFINITELY diamond in the rough!
The scent might be a bit too sweet for some folks, but for me it is JUST what I was looking for!!!

Great handcream that moisturizes like nobody's business and smells like chocolate covered sunflower seeds. No more $20 hand creams for me! Great for elbows that are dry and feet too. Plus, if you go to the Palmers website, they sell a big 7 oz. jar.

This is my new HG! I used to use Vaseline Aloe and Naturals but it just wasn't cutting the mustard for my skin, it left my legs and arms feeling dry and scaly. Since the weather is getting colder. i thought a richer lotion was what i needed. Boy was i right! Palmers lotion w/Cocoa butter is very creamy and absorbs very well. not at all greasy. To me is smells just like my favourite snack, chocolate covered sunflower seeds! Really economical pricing too.
UPDATE: I unhappily have to discontinue the use off all my Palmers products. They interfere waaaaaaaaaaaaay too much with every single perfume i own. BOO HOO :(

This stuff is great. Anyone can get it at Walmart, and it's cheap too! If you need a no-nonsense moisturizer that does a great job without having to order online and wait for shipping- get this one! It even comes in small sizes, sticks, and jars. And if you don't like it, who cares! You didn't spend a fortune or go into debt finding a scent you liked!

I got this a few months ago and couldn't stand the smell. It was ok at first, but now every time I smell it, it makes me gag. It's sort of like chocolate but cheap dusty chocolate if you can imagine.
However, today I found the unscented version of it and thought I would give it a try, much better! It's the best lotion for moisture and if you hate the smell.. try the unscented version, works well.

This lotion is very thick and rich...it's a little too heavy to use all over (I live in a place that's warm all year), and I really can't use it every day. I imagine that I would use it more regularly in places that have very dry air. One thing to note --> a friend of mine recommended it for feet and indeed - it is GREAT for feet...I slather on a generous layer after showering, pop on some sox, and then relax in front of the TV for a bit before turning in...next morning, soft feet. :) Another plus - DH says I smell yummy. :) Note added Feb. 2004 -- I'm now using this lotion nightly on my tummy. My baby is due in a few months and this lotion helps with the itchiness...I'll let you know how we fare with stretch marks...

This is a great cream for stretch marks! Can be a bit difficult to squeeze out of the container at times, but seems to work well for me. Not too greasy and sinks easily into my skin.

I'll use it if I have to, but not really moisturising enough for me. My hubby can't bear the chocolatey smell... it is a bit much! The colour is a bit intense too - easily marks white clothes/linen. I prefer Decleor System Corps, Body Shop Body Butters...

I started using Palmer's and Queen Helene shea/coca butter lotions because my girlfriend and her family always used them. Shea and cocoa butter seem to be the holy grails for those prone to ashiness. And I figured, if this stuff helps with ashiness, then it will surely help with my pasty dry skin that doesn't flake, but *scales*!! (Yeah, I know -- too many prolonged hot showers and overuse of waxing and depilitating has given me some *dry* ass skin on my body.) This stuff is awesome! Cocoa butter is a basic fruit by-product (or at least, you'll get it while you try to make the stuff you make chocolate with) that has been around for centuries, so there really isn't a reason to spend $25 for some glamorous lotion that contains a little of it when you can just get the whole shebang for less than $5. I liken coca butter to jojoba oil or emu oil, I think it's silly to pay big bucks for packaging, advertising, and maybe some scent. Palmer's lotion has a luxurious, rich consistency and a great natural, wholesome smell. You feel good using it! And it's moisturizing as heck, through judicious use of moisturizers I've fooled people into thinking I have naturally soft skin. I think someone else mentioned the buttery color of this (and most other shea butter) products. Lotions aren't necessarily 'supposed' to be white. A lot of products are not naturally white and are just bleached and dyed to look white because people expect it, usually to the detriment of the product (think of white rice and white bread). Cocoa butter itself is yellowish in color. This stuff is cheap and works great, you can't beat it for the price.

My local drugstore does not stock up the fragrance-free version, so I'm giving this a go. I really like it being non greasy and to be quickly absorbed into skin, but the chocolatey scent make me sick! And the yellowish lotion is a bit gross, thought body lotion suppose to be white in colour? I'm being fussy I know :P
What a shame...after applying this body lotion, i felt myself being poured a cup of chocolate milk all over my body, so sweet and it lasts (OMG). By the way, I guess it would be one of my holy grails if I can get the fragrance-free one. au$7.95 for 250ml, quite affordable.

I've tried this product a couple of times in all shape and size and I have to say that it truly is a great moisturizer for all over the body. I have been thinking about using it on my face but I'm afraid that it'll be to greasy and make me brakeout. Any recommendation? Overall this is a fantastic product!

This is truely an amazing body lotion. It softens in a way I didn't think possible. I've tried everything on my dry arms. I'll never use anything else. Gives my skin a slight happy glow. Absorbs in about ten minutes with the very slight chocolate smell. Don't wait, rush to the drugstore and spend a few dollars and try this!

I agree that for such a cheap product this has amazing texture! You get so much for so little cash- this can be used very generously- and believe me, once you smell it, you'll want to rub it all over you! I use it after the shower on my legs, and about once a week all over. It starts off a bit on the sticky side but soon absorbs well and leaves skin yummy smelling and soft. I love the packaging- it's really kitch and retro. I forgot about this product for years but then remembered how wonderful and rich this stuff is. The smell is like drinking chocolate- far nicer than some other cocoa butter lines, like the body shop's range which is a bit icky smelling IMO. This has that hint of bitter chocolate about it- mmmm!

I love things that smell like food, so when a friend recommended this, I had to check it out! Supposedly models like Tyra Banks rave about this product. I bought a small hand lotion too to keep at work. I feel very moisturized and not greasy. It sinks in very fast and I really like the chocolately scent.

This lotion is excellent! This is my first Palmers brand product, but will not be my last. I find this cocoa butter lotion to be nice and moisturizing. It doesn't take that long to sink in. I do like the smell of it. It isn't *quite* the same thing as chocolate, but there are some chocolatey notes in there. It is "cocoa" butter after all! Some people may not like the smell, but lotion scents are an individual thing, just like with
parfumes.

I adore this! I've used both the lotion in the big, stiff tube and the thick, waxy cream in the tub and I love them both. I use the tube lotion every day after my shower without fail. It's like thick, rich custard - I adore it. And I love the scent. I use it so often that it's just the way I smell now. And I love how soft it makes me. Do try it!
