I've been using this kit for about 2 weeks now, and I think it's been helping. The moisturizer is a little drying for me, even though my skin is really oily. At night I use Murad Skin Perfecting Lotion. My pores are all clogged right now for some unknown reason, they have been for a few months now. There are little bumps everywhere that are almost invisible, but they eventually all turn into big red zits. Since I started using this, the zits I get are much smaller and go away really quickly. I'm hoping that once all my pores clear up, they'll be clear for good. My skin is usually really smooth! I have no idea why I am suddenly covered with acne. I think what may have started it was using olive oil as a makeup remover. Anyway, I will update in a couple more weeks.

UPDATE: I eventually went to a dermatologist, who prescribed Ziana and Finacea. My acne is almost gone now, after 3 weeks! The Boscia line helped a little, but it wasn't enough for me. But if my skin ever calms down, I might buy this again.

I am afraid that I will have to buy this every month for the rest of my life because these products really are that fantastic. I think this works so well because it decreases oil production but it doesn't make my skin too dry. The kit comes with four products.

Cleanser-clear and foamy, light scent, takes off all your makeup (will buy again)

Spray on Toner-refreshing and not drying, doesn't evaporate very quickly though (might buy again)

Treatment Gel- Clear and non-drying, use it at night, leaves skin feeling clear with no residue (will buy again)

Oil Free SPF 15 lotion- not too impressed with this, doesn't seem to moisturize enough considering this kit might cause slight dryness (will not buy again)

I think the cleanser and the treatment gel are the foundation of this set, but used all together they reduce the red inflamed blemishes that I get. Has no effect on blackheads.

I ordered this kit just from the basis of the reviewers. I was only hearing great things about it. So far, I've been using for about 2 weeks and my face has not cleared up. I have breakouts (always) on cheeks and I haven't seen an improvement. At least, not yet. I'm keeping my fingers crossed. I do like the cleanser. It seems to take everything off at the end of the night. For the toner, I don't spritz onto my face. Then doesn't make me feel "clean". What I do is spritz onto a cotton pad and clean my face. I only gave it 3 lipsticks for now, but I will definately re-review in a couple of weeks to see if there is or isn't an improvement.

I really like this kit. I recently moved from a small East Coast beach town to SoCal and my once clear skin immediately broke out into very painful acne. After weeks of waiting for it to clear up, I finally went and picked up this product. Its been about 3 weeks and I haven't had any new acne since. The first few days all the old spots started drying up, but I noticed new breakouts around my hairline and behind my ears. So I started using the cleanser as far around my head as possible, and almost immediately those disappeared. A few very small new bumps have occurred, but are light enough that light concealer takes them away. I combined the new skincare treatment with mineral makeup and have gotten lots of compliments on how pretty my face looks. I'm really happy I found this kit. Its a little pricey, but it doesn't take a lot to see improvement. I wish the box all the products came in were more earth-friendly. I'm not sure why the extra plastic is necessary.
I'll definitely be adding more of the Boscia products to my skin-care routine and recommend to anyone with combo skin fighting moderate breakouts.

I was using products by Murad before trying this. What intrigued me was the "preservative free" angle. And I must say, using this in combination with their moisturizer (Vital Daily) my skin has never been better. In less than 2 days, I saw my skin transform itself...and have a brightness with my makeup on that was beautiful. I will definitely keep buying this - very impressed!

I just turned 40 and for some reason, along with age came horrible skin. I guess it's hormonal....and it stinks that I made it through my teen years with ZERO acne only to have it show up now...Anyway, I have been getting cystic pimples on my forehead and chin that just wouldn't go away. Sephora's FF discount made me try this kit. Am I glad that I did!!! In two days the pimples that I'd been fighting for months are almost gone. I promptly went back to Sephora and ordered more. The treatment is fantastic. I can't say enough about this kit!

I love this kit! After seeing it on the Sephora website, I came right to makeupally to check out the reviews. Everyone seemed to like it so I made the trip to Sephora, only to find out they were out of them! The girl at Sephora raved about it and said they could barely keep it in stock. Needless to say, I finally got my kit 3 days ago and It's already working. In fact, I noticed a difference in the way my skin looked and felt after the 1st day. Definitly recommend trying this product if you have stubborn breakouts that never seem to completely go away. Again, so far, it's great. If anything changes I'll definitly post a follow up!

I have to agree with the reviewers below- this is a great kit! I haven't had many problems with acne in the past, but after going off birth control recently I have found myself battling what I believe must be hormonal acne. I have tried acne spot treatments in the past (Oxy, Mario Badescu, Neutrogena) and found them to be too trying and irritating to my skin. I tried the Boscia kit after reading reviews on MUA and am incredibly impressed. It hasn't even been a week yet and my skin is looking literally 90% better than it was just a few days ago! Oil production appears to be regulated, I haven't gotten any new pimples and my skin overall looks smoother and more healthy. I can't believe that the moisturizer is oil free and has an SPF of 15, yet works so well and feels great! I will definitely continue to use the Boscia line. As the reviewer below mentioned, I may try the regular line as well, so that my skin doesn't become too used to this kit, as it has worked wonders for me! I highly recommend this product for anyone with sensitive skin and some acne problems who prefers natural products

For the past 6 months, LOTS of stress and breakouts have occurred and I have been hit with acne on my cheeks and forehead. I've never had a problem with acne...EVER. Then it came, with pain. My cheeks were always red and blotchy, and since I would pick at them (bad idea) they would often be open and not heal properly. I tried Neutrogena's Acne Kit (worked OK for a while), Murad (cleared some spots but made others come up), Proactiv (also too harsh), SkinCeuticals (for me, it will be best for post-acne repair) and had been using Cetaphil which prevented further damage by calming my irritated skin and thoroughly cleansing, but didn't truly target my problem areas.

I got a sample for the Clear Complexion Kit at Sephora, and used this for 3 days. Long enough to see if it was going to cause a breakout. I was amazed. An open "under the skin" zit that I had popped and scarred healed in about 48 hours with the directions to wash, tone, treat & moisturize in AM and PM. I went back when my sample ran out and purchased the kit.

I've been using this entire kit as the instructions state for a week now. I think a little goes a long way, the product doesn't irritate my skin, is gentle and effective on open blemishes, and helps to regulate oil production. The package allows you to preserve the freshness of the product, and everything is kept sterile. I don't even need a full pump of the cleanser. For days when I have to cover blemishes with makeup, I still use Cetaphil to remove makeup, then follow with the 4-steps in the kit.

Result: Reduced acne by 40% and no new zits over the past 7 days. That yucky open cystic pimple cleared in 72 days and is actually almost beginning to fade into my natural skin tone. At first I was afraid to put anything on it but a little product slipped and no burning (some tingle, but nothing different from if water or cetaphil hit it) Didn't expect THAT to happen! I think this entire system is gentle and effective.

At the beginning of last week, I would have considered my acne time to be moderate and getting close to moderate/severe. Problem areas targeted in my cheeks with about 2-3 zits on my forehead. Now I would say (after a week) that my acne is closer to mild or mild/moderate. I'm truly impressed, and believe that in another week or two, my acne may be completely cleared. I will admit that the effectiveness may have been slowed down from days when I wore makeup overtop of it. (Hey, a girl has to go out in public).

The value is good for the price/quality/packaging and helps ensure that you don't use it past the expiration date. Also, I LOVE the moisturizer; it felt like it actually enhanced the performance of the other products!! Sometimes putting moisturizers on last feels like it is undoing some of the work of a serum, but not the case with this. Having the SPF15 included saves a step by protecting your skin with a product that you know won't break you out, and will combat problem skin.

Would definitely purchase again. The Sephora rep said that it is gentle enough to use to maintain after your skin repairs, however I don't want to become resistant so would probably try their regular line just in case another bad breakout occurred in the future.

WOW! I am sooo happy I tried this set! I am going through a period of blemishes brought on by out-of-whack hormones- not substantial acne, but noticeable, consistent pimples that can be found on several different areas of my face (chin, cheekbones, forehead). I was looking for products to soothe all this chaos, rather than trying to zap it all with the serious acne-fighters (i.e. harsher treatments/brands). This set really does the trick! After just a few days of using it, my skin did a complete turn-around! My skin actually looks GOOD rather than just average (which I would have settled for- it would have been better than all the blemishes)! I really can't believe how impressed I am with these products, as I always use the other Boscia products (Purifying Cleanser, Balancing Tonic) and have seen decent effects, but none as good as these.

The gel cleanser in this set I find cleans equally as well as the Purifying Cleanser, but it seems to have a little more moisture to it during the lather and my skin doesn't seem as tight after cleansing (not that the Purifying Cleanser made my skin that tight, but this one is a little better in that area). The misting tonic (toner) works well- it feels soothing and non-irritating and as the previous reviewer mentioned, it does feel somewhat moisturizing. I think one of my favorite products in this set is the treatment, and I surmise that is where the ultimate calming effects are coming from. While the formula seems gel-like and a little sticky at first, it seems to absorb relatively quickly and does soothe the skin quite well. Additionally, I have noticed that my blackheads (grrr...) look WAY better and the pores surrounding my nose area look much more refined. Lastly, the oil-free moisturizer seems to provide a touch of moisture during the day and a little SPF protection- both of which work fine for me, although if someone wanted a heavier moisturizer they wouldn't like this one. At night, I do use the Recharging Night Moisture (not a part of this set), which seems to give me a little extra hydration (PM- I use the cleanser, toner, treatment, then the night moisture).

All in all, I would highly recommend this set. I didn't think I was going to find a set that was so effective at combining both clarifying and comforting properties to target blemishes, but this set really follows through. Plus, it doesn't include all the harsh ingredients like some of the other skincare lines do. I do agree with the other reviewers that this is probably best suited for mild acne issues. With what is going on with my skin right now, these products are suited perfectly. My skin no longer feels angry! Yay! When this set is done I will DEFINITELY be ordering the full-size products.

Age: 30-35   Skin: Acne-prone, Fair, Cool   Hair: Brown, Straight, Fine   Eyes: Blue

I had been using the Boscia kit for normal to oily skin and then decided to try this. I saw some improvement in my combination skin with the other kit, but much more with this kit. I think the night cream in the other one was too rich for me. I agree with the first review that these products would be best for someone with light/mild acne problems. My problem area is the chin, and I have had fewer breakouts because this seems to be effective without being so harsh that my skin overreacts. The cleanser is similar to the regular gel cleanser (light and refreshing) and gets rid of makeup very well, except perhaps for the most stubborn waterproof mascara. I am not a fan of toners in general, but this one is fine. I really like the oil-free spf lotion for day - it is quite light. I have been using the treatment gel twice a day and really like it. I think using the treatment gel rather than the night moisturizer at night is what is making all the difference in my skin. I would buy this kit again or buy the products separately (I don't think there is much difference between the regular gel cleanser and this cleaner and between the regular toning mist for normal to oily and the toning mist for problem skin), but I would stick with the treatment gel. Also, I must add a little recommendation to try the Boscia makeup breakup oil cleanser - I love that stuff!

Age: 25-29   Skin: Acne-prone, Fair, Neutral   Hair: Brown, Straight, Fine   Eyes: Green

This is for the new kit that is aimed at blemish prone skin. It consists of a gel cleanser, a toner, a gel treatment, and a moisturizer. The Boscia brand is aimed at using natural/botanical ingredients, most of them organic, to help with skin issues. Every product they make is preservative-free (no parabens), and the packaging is designed to be hygienic - airless pumps, tubes (not jars), and small containers so they are used up frequently. All of their products contain willowherb, which is a natural anti-microbial, as well.

The gel cleanser: Foams nicely, pleasant herbal smell, removes makeup well, rinses clean without the tight, dry feeling. Ingredients: Water, Diglycerin, Maltitol, Sodium Cocoyl Glutamate, Methyl Gluceth-10,
Potassium Cocoyl Glutamate, Tea-Cocoyl Alaninate, Butylene Glycol, Potassium Lauroyl Glutamate, Salix Nigra (Willow) Bark Extract, Simmondsia Chinensis (Jojoba) Leaf Extract, Epilobium Angustifolium Flower/Leaf/Stem Extract, Rosmarinus Officinalis (Rosemary) Leaf Extract, Sasa Kurilensis Water, Glycerin, Cellulose Gum, Sodium Hydroxide, Pelargonium Graveolens Flower Oil.

The toner: Alcohol-free so very gentle, even on open blemishes. Has a spray nozzle, which is nice so you dont waste product. Smells herbal like the cleanser (very mild scent). Doesnt leave the skin tacky feeling at all, and even moisturizes a little. Ingredients: Water, Lavandula Angustifolia (Lavender) Flower Water, Butylene Glycol,
Pentylene Glycol, Salix Nigra (Willow) Bark Extract, Simmondsia Chinensis (Jojoba) Leaf Extract, Epilobium Angustifolium Flower/Leaf/Stem Extract, Rosmarinus Officinalis (Rosemary) Leaf Extract, Sasa Kurilensis Water, Serine, Glycerin, Dipropylene Glycol, Phellodendron Amurense Bark Extract, Peg-60 Hydrogenated Castor Oil, Potassium Phosphate, Dipotassium Phosphate, Dextrin, Lavandula Angustifolia (Lavender)
Oil, Hydrolyzed Gardenia Florida Extract.

The gel treatment: A little goes a long way, 2 pumps needed at most. Feels slightly tacky as it dries, but eventually goes away, especially if followed with moisturizer. Very gentle, and does not sting at all, even on open blemishes. In fact, it reduces the redness of an inflamed pimple quite well. Ingredients: Water, Butylene Glycol, Glycerin, Dipropylene Glycol, Pentylene Glycol. Peg-75, Salix Nigra (Willow) Bark Extract, Simmondsia Chinensis (Jojoba) Leaf Extract. Epilobium Angustifolium Flower/Leaf/Stem Extract, Rosmarinus Officinalis (Rosemary) Leaf Extract, Sasa Kurilensis Water, Xanthan Gum, Potassium Carbomer, Peg-80 Hydrogenated Castor Oil, Acrylic/Acrylate Copolymer (E), Silica, Citrus Aurantium Dulcis (Orange) Oil, Lavandula Angustifolia (Lavender) oil, Eugenia Caryophyllus (Clove) Leaf Oil, Foeniculum Vulgare (Fennel) Oil.

The moisturizer: Oil free with SPF 15, although the spf isnt stable for all-day use, so if going outside, reapplication is necessary. Light consistency, very faint scent. I do find that it balls up a little bit on my skin, and isnt moisturizing enough for my dry-ish skin. Oily skins would like this though. Ingredients: Active ingredients: Octinoxate 5%, Avobenzone 3% (Parsol® 1789). Inactives: Water, Butylene Glycol, Silica, Glycerin*, Polyglyceryl-10 Stearate**, Pentylene Glycol, Simmondsia Chinensis (Jojoba) Leaf Extract†, Epilobium Angustifolium (Willowherb) Extract*, Rosmarinus Officinalis (Rosemary) Leaf Extract*, Algae Extract*, Yeast Extract^, Bishydroxyethyl Biscetyl Malonamide, Arctium Lappa (Burdock) Root Extract†, Phellodendron Bark Extract*, Hydrogenated Rapeseed Alcohol*, Hydroxyethylcellulose**, Sclerotium Gum^, Aluminum Hydroxide, Potassium Phosphate, Sambucus Nigra (Elder) Flower Extract*, Zinc Oxide, Titanium Dioxide.

The verdict: This is probably not for moderate or severe acne, but for mild acne it would be very nice. It certainly reduces the inflammation associated with breakouts, and makes your skin feel very nice. It does not cause any drying, unlike most mainstream acne treatments, and in my opinion, helps the skin to heal itself faster. The willow bark in these products acts as a gentle beta hydroxy acid, and the willow herb is anti-microbial. I saw a calming in my skin, and fewer inflamed pimples. It certainly did not cause any pimples or irritation. I would say this kit is best for people who have mild acne prone skin, and need something to maintain it. If you have a face full of angry zits, this probably wont be as effective as, say, murad or proactiv, or retin a. But there is something to say for its natural, gentle approach. Right now I have irritated skin from using a skinceuticals aha/bha cleanser, and my skin is dry and flaky, so Im using the kit for dry skin. But once I am normalized again, I will definitely buy this kit again.
