The mint flavor is delish! I like the blue tint as well...actually looks good on my lips. The boyfriend likes it because when he kisses me it's not sticky and tastes minty...pretty much a good enough reason for me!

I tried this on at the makeup counter and was not impressed. I did not like the blue-ish look nor the sparkles. It did tasted yummy though, I dont think its anything special.

I don't notice any real whitening effect on my teeth. However, the blue tinge really seems to work with my skin tone for some reason. I love clear gloss, was a bit hesitant to try this since I hate sparkles. Well, these are so tiny they almost melt into my lips, and it moisturizes well too. It's amazing how the slightest amount of color can make such a difference!

Tried this on at the mall today to see what the hype is about. I was very indifferent as to the product. I found the flavor to be ok, but I kept licking my lips because it has a sweet/minty taste. As for the color, you really couldn't tell that I was wearing anything but a sparkly lip gloss. I don't mind a few sparkles, but I usually like some color with it. (think MAC) So, I wore it around the mall, checked out a few mirrors (not in vain, to see if I noticed a difference) and went back. To the MAC counter where I purchased a plush gloss.

Nice lipgloss with a minty flavour. It has a slightly blue tinge that makes teeth look whiter (supposedly) and tiny sparrkles. Made my lips looks pouty and glossy, which is nice but really the price is just too expensive for an average product like this.

I like this - it's a sheer gloss that applies clear with blue shimmer. The promise is that it will leave your breath fresh and your teeth whiter, but Benefit fails on delivering that, I find. Oh, it's minty, so my lips themselves have a fresh scent, yes. And the tingly, cool feeling is a softer, friendlier version of DuWop Venom, but it lasts for no more than half an hour. At $19 CDN, it just isn't an innovative enough product to repurchase.

I believe I would buy this again.. it's the price that could hold me back. In Canada it's $19 (I found it today at Shopper's Drug Mart), which is ridiculous, really. But... I had been wanting to try it, so I went for it (it was payday..). I can't see that my teeth look any whiter, but I do like this lip gloss! It feels cool and minty (and that feeling stays for a while, I find it very nice). The colour (on me anyway) does show a very slight blue, but it's irridescent and looks neat - it's not obvious but it looks like "something" more than just plain lips. I like the sparkles in it as well, they are quite subtle. Overall, I feel like my lips look very pretty with this gloss. It's not sticky, and it has lasted for me all afternoon. Yes, I think I will buy more of this!

This is going right back to Sephora. Definitely a waste of money to keep it. California Kissin is nothing more than a clear gloss, with a blue undertone. It has a nice minty smell and taste, but that is the only thing nice I have to say. It certainly did not make my teeth look any whiter, whether I wore it alone, or over another color. The shine didn't last very long...maybe 30 minutes. It reminds me of an inexpensive, juvenile, drugstore lipgloss, that I would buy for a 12 year old.

I was at the mall with a friend today, and we decided to go to Sephora to try some new makeup. So, we were browsing around for lipglosses when this caught my eye. Now, the packaging is okay, a long, sleek blue-green tube with the words "California Kissin'" in white. When I first opened it, I thought, "Blue lip gloss? What in the world?" Reading the ad beside it, I thought, "Oh, cool. Smile-whitening gloss. Always worth a try."

In the tube, this gloss appears as a light blue-gree. But when you smear it on your lips, it turns a clear, very slightly blue-tinted gloss with a slight frosty look. It is also rather minty, like a slightly toned down C.O. Bigelow Mentha Lip Shine. No minty taste, though.

BeneFit claims that this will whiten your smile. Well, I beg to differ. I saw no smile-brightening effects whatsoever. Just seems like a normal gloss. After a while, it seems to lose its mintyness, and is a bit drying. Also, $16 for this? I mean, sure, it's shiny and minty, but I think I'll be sticking to my Mentha Lip Shines for now.

I'm not a big lip gloss person, but I had enough left on a gift card, so I picked this up.

How fun! it's just enough to add some sparkle, and the mintyness adds a nice tingle. I didn't think it made my teeth look any whiter, but that's not a big concern to me. Biggest setback for me is the $16 price, but since I buy these things so infrequently, I might go in for it again.

This gloss comes in a squeeze tube, and is a very sheer (almost clear) blue gloss with blue specks of glitter throughout. It has a sweet minty taste to it (like candy cane), isn't sticky, and leaves a nice glossy shine.

In terms of whitening my teeth, I can see the theory behind it, but it didn't do too much for me. The blue colour, mixed with the colour of your lips, makes them go a more purple colour (think of the colour that your lips go when you've been out in the freezing cold for a long time, but not quite that dramatic - very subtle).

In terms of moisture for the lips - it's not bad, but I wouldn't use purely for treating dry chapped lips. It has got petrolatum and lanolin oil listed as the 3rd and 4th ingredients respectively, but it also does have beeswax further down, which I like.

I would buy this again because it's something quite unique, and leaves a nice shine on my lips.

California Kissin' is a newly released item by Benefit. The colour is light blue in the tube but when applied on the lips,it looks clear with blue shimmers but not over the top, something new from those usual glosses with shimmers.Somehow the blue shimmers do appear to make your teeth whiter. This lipgloss also has a lovely mint smell, like those mint candies--yummy! Only a tiny amount is needed to apply each time, and a few seconds after application, my lips feel cooled and refreshed! However, the only factor I do not like about this is the price--Very lovely packaging but 16usd is way too expensive for this!

This product is the biggest waste of money out there. I tried it on my lips and it did nothing. I think a better investment would be crest white strips and clear lip gloss. They charge 16.00 for this crap what a rip...............

It does just what it says. It has a bluish color in it to make your teeth appear whiter. It definitely makes my teeth look whiter and so far I have worn it alone on my lips and it looks fine. The packaging says that you can layer it over lipstick or other lip gloss though so I think I will try that. It does look a little blue on lips but against my lip color I think it looks good.
