Love this hair spray. Love how it smells, love how it holds. Nuff said!

I read the good reviews for this and was a little hesitant to try anything from this line because of the poor performances of the other products I've tried. I'm glad I took a chance with this one though. My hair is naturally straight, and I have baby hairs that stick up in the humidity. It seemed like no product would help, I've tried serums, other sprays, leave in condish, etc. All either wore off or made my hair hard as a rock. This actually works though. The store had only one left- ultra strong, so that is what I ended up with- it is a little sticky, but does not make my hair feel like a helmet. I even got caught out in a rain storm today and my hair was still curly from the hot rollers I used this morning. I will continue to use this and repurchase when I need to.

I really like this hairspray. It is a little stiff but holds up to the extreme humidity where I live. Before using this product, my hair would be a frizzy mess after walking outside for a few minutes on a very humid day but this harspray has drastically cut down on that problem.

I bought this based on MUA reviews, and I really like it. I have it in Ultra Strong, and it works almost as well as my Masterpiece by TIGI, but it's a lot cheaper. It's a wet hairspray, which I usually stay away from, but if you spray it lightly it's okay. It does last all day, and although the shine isn't as good as what I get from Masterpiece, the price is much better. Sometimes I don't want to shell out 20 bucks for hairspray, and this is my backup when I'm feeling tight with my money.

I can't believe the good reviews. This stuff is nasty. I've tried it on two different occasions, each time only spraying lightly & each time it turned my hair white with buildup after it dried. Yuck. I am returning.

Hm....It works but the amount I have to use for my hair makes my hair pretty stiff. Even then it isn't perfect. But I do have very thick hair - I can see this being ideal for thinner hair. Still, you do get a large can for a cheap price.

I know I reviewed this product back in August 2007 when I first started using it but for whatever reason, my review is gone now so...
This is now my HG hair spray. I decided to try it after a friend on the hair board kept talking about the great results she got from it. I hesitated because I'd tried other Garnier products when they first came on the market and wasn't happy with any of them.
I caved though and bought it and I am so glad I did! The scent is a very nice, light, fresh scent that does not overpower my perfume or linger. The hold is light feeling, easily combed though and washes out easily even with only CO washing but absolutely does the job to hold my hair in place.
The first weekend I tried this, my husband and I spent the weekend at a hotel for our anniversary. When I saw that this hair spray held my hair beautifully through close to three hours that we spent in a Jacuzzi, I was positive it would hold in our hot, humid summers and I was right!
Again, definitely HG material for me and I definitely recommend it.
My hair is 1c-2a/f/ii - 35" long, fine, thin, color-treated, dry at the ends.

I usually hate hairspray, but this one is great. Lightly scented, medium hold, not crunchy, fine mist. And the price is right! I love to use this to tame halo frizz on dry hair, or to hold curling iron styles. Love!!

I don't believe in paying alot for hairspray, especially since this one works so well. I have tried a couple different kinds; drugstore brands like Dove and higher-end hairsprays like Aveda, which are plastic bottles with a pump and run $17, give or take. I think the aerosol can makes for a better hairspray and gives a better hold and distribution (although I hope this spray doesn't have CFCs in it, it doesn't say). Garnier costs $3, it smells great (my bf and sisters love the smell) and it actually does keep your hairstyle in humid conditions. I like to spray my bangs and head but I also spray it onto my hands and lift my my hair up through the roots to give myself more volume. I've also straightened my hair and been able to keep the style for 3 days without washing it, just using this hairspray. I don't have problems with crunchiness even though I use it very liberally. My HG hairspray.

Love this stuff! A bit stronger hold than my usual Shaper. It can also get a bit more built up or crunchy...but this stuff can style! I use it to scrunch my dry hair for a mid day pick up to my curls. This stuff is a perfect styling tool. It can help hold and shape.

I LOVE this hairspray, and I usually avoid all of them like the plague. I bought it on a whim when it was on sale at Target, and I've been so happy with it. It's not stiff or sticky, and it truly does keep your hair smooth all day long. I spray it on my hands and run them through my hair, rather than spraying directly on my head (that's never worked for me, with any hairspray), and I could not be happier with the results. It's always the last step in my hair routine. It also works well on damp hair...Run it through your hair before you heat style or air dry.

Amazing stuff! I am so glad I found it. I had been using higher end hair sprays and was tired of the cost. This one blows all of them out of the water! It holds well but it not a super hard hold and no flakes, Adds nice shine and control the humidity and frizz!

Smells great... has HARD hold. If you want something you can comb-thru, this is not the product for you. But if you want a spray to keep your hair where it is, even in the wind, you need to try this. At the end of the day it's a witch to try and comb out so I took off one lippie for that reason. My favorite hard hold spray used to be Jonathan's but at nearly $30 a can I can really justify it. This holds just as strong for 1/10th the price! I would repurchase.

I have to completely agree w SherryL -- this is an awesome hairspray all around, but you really can't beat it for $3. There's good shine, it smells nice, has decent hold but is still totally workable and brushable, and I haven't seen any flakies or any other signs of having used too much hairspray and then restyled. This is definitely what I thought the Pantene Texturize! hairspray would be when I bought it, and this has the same really nice, superfine mist that that does, but it doesnt dry instantly and has maybe half the hold, if not less. I really don't think I'd want less hold in a hairspray, to be honest. Great stuff all around -- I can't find anything to complain about and would definitely repurchase this (unless there's something new and cheap being raved about on the hair board lol).

Wow! I'm really impressed. I'm usually a high end haircare snob, but this has been getting a few raves on the Hair Board and since I'm somewhat of a hairspray connoisseur, I thought I would give this a whirl.
I paid a whopping $3 for a can of this at WalMart, so it was a terrific deal. This hairspray spays unbelievably well. It's actually more of a microfine mist of spray rather than a fumy cloud of aerosol. Reminds me of how the old Rave MicroMist spray of the early 90's sprayed. I love it! The smell is quite pleasant for hairspray and beats most brands.
While the spray and scent are both positives, the performance of this product is ultimately what matters AND it's what really makes this product stand appart from competitors. I smooth my hair into large, loose waves with a 1.25" curling iron and before I curl each section I like to mist some hairspray onto it for hold. I have never, and I mean never, achieved the shine, definition, and hold that I've been able to get with this spray. It rocks my world every time I use it.
Please note, this hairspray is clearly labeled "ultra strong" on the can. If you aren't looking for that (like one of the posters below found out)... please pass on it. While it does not make my hair feel sticky or goopy in any way, it does leave behind a feeling of 'hold'. In other words, yes, it will feel like their is spray in your hair. I, for one, LOVE this stuff! I'd pay $15 for it if that's what it took!

I really am loving this product!!
I use this when I wear my hair curly and I use quite a lot. I've noticed that it tightens up my curls into very nice separated/clumpy ringlets... even after a hot, sweaty workout. ;)
It doesn't work when I straighten my hair. I tried putting it on after straightening my hair and it made my hair frizzy and puffy after spraying it on. But works very nicely on curly hair, since I don't straighten my hair that often, maybe once every 6 months I use it for the curls. =)
I would definately buy this product again!

I put alot of time and effort into smoothing out my naturally textured hair every day, but even a quick dash outside to grab the newspaper on a drizzly day (and in Seattle, that's almost every day that ends in "y") can undo all of my work. Even still, I hate the feeling and smell of hairspray. Being a fan of Garnier shampoo and conditioner (Length & Strength formula) I decided to give this a try. This hairspray works! I still experience some volume at the roots when it's damp outside, but at least my hair doesn't turn into a kinky frizzball any more. I spray this on my palms and then run my hands through my hair -- that way it coats my hair all around instead of just sitting on top. (No sticky residue on the countertop and floor that way, either.) It dries quickly and I'm able to comb as usual and even run my hands through my hair and not feel like I have on hairspray. Plus, it has the same citrusy scent as my shampoo and conditioner. At last, a hairspray I can live with!

All I needed was something to keep little fly aways in place and also to hold curl when I used my hot rollers-
This made my hair sticky/waxy feeling, couldn't get my hands through my hair b/c of the spray-
Even when I misted ever so lightly to keep my ponytail sleek it still has hard to get my hands through once I took my hair down-
I tried it 3 different times and I finally chunked it in the trash can-
*I have long hair, thing strands but lots of them that are wavy-

I buy this repeatedly mainly for the price and I use hair spray daily...but I actually also really like this product. It has alot of hold but doesn't weigh my hair down or make it look sticky. It really keeps the humidity away and keeps my hair sleek. Love this product!

I'm pleasantly surprised . . . hairspray and my hair is tricky - my scalp gets sensitive with some, I need something light but that will hold and stay in all day, but some of those that stick around in hot weather get gunky and weigh my hair down.
So on a whim I got Garnier Fruictis Sleek & Shine Anti-Humidity Hairspray .
I like how it sprays - no big cloud of hairspray. It gives an almost instant freeze.Texture isn't too chalky . I had it in my hair all day out in the heat in high humidity - my hair was twisted up in a little bun. Stayed put. No humidity fuzzies, no buildup and gunkiness, smells good and didn't dry out my scalp.
Awesome for $3! :) And when I undid my bun , my hair was full and held curl - no dry chalkyness or gunky buildup. You really can't tell I was outside all day.
So happy with this stuff! A HG! Finally!
