if you have dry skin or an issue with cleansers that dry out the skin do not buy this. I buy this only for the purpose of removing my eye make up. make sure you have your eyes closed very tight because this stuff does burn very bad and will continue to hurt through out the day, good luck:)

I have dry skin so this was to harsh for it. It didn't remove my waterproof makeup and burned my eyes.

Update: I'm using at night only and moisturize. In the mornings I use the sensitive one and it's working fine.

I bought 2 bottles of this and won't need to repurchase for a LONG time which is the only reason why I won't buy this again :) It's definitely one of the better drugstore cleansers, it lathers nicely and cleans off all my makeup. It does leave my skin feeling ever so slightly tight compared to my paula's choice cleanser, but i like to alternate between the 2 and there seems to be no affect on my skin when I do that. The only thing from stopping me from giving this 5 lippies, is the smell. It smells seriously clinical... others have described it like dish soap, I would say it's a mix of dish soap and a doctor's office. It's gross. If they took away that fragrance and just left it smelling like NOTHING, that would be 1000x better than what it smells like now. Other than that, a good option for normal to oily skin (oily skin is what I have).

I would have to agree with previous comments about this stuff smelling, EXACTLY, like dish soap! That wouldn't of bothered me anyways if it wouldn't have dried my skin out :( I do use it to clean my brushes off now though, and it does a great job at doing that.

Overall a great makeup remover and an okay cleanser (but doesn't seem to give me a "deep clean"). Has a slight soapy scent but it doesn't bother me. Doesn't irritate my skin. Would buy again just because its a wonderful makeup remover and I, personally, like that it's like a thick soapy consistency vs. the slick liquid of the Neutrogena Oil-Free Eye Makeup Remover.

Hands down, my favourite cleanser. Especially in the summer when my face is at its oiliest. The only downside is that it has a strong fragrance, but since it's rinsed off anyway, I'm not too picky about it. I used to use Neutrogena Deep Clean Cream Cleanser, but this one is so much better.

It cleans well, taking off the makeup that my makeup remover left, but it is incredibly drying. If I use this cleanser for more than a day (2x a day), it dries out my skin and cysts are just waiting to happen. I used a whole bottle of it before changing back to my Clean&Clear sensitive foaming wash, which never fails me and is less expensive than this one. What I like about this is that it foams up really well so a little bit goes a long way, but no matter how little I use my face still ends up tight and flaky. I have sensitive, reactive, combo skin, I am currently using retin-A. I do not recommend this for combo skin, unless you have really oily skin, you really don't need this cleanser. I like the pump on this, but the bottle isn't clear, so I can't gauge the amount that I have in the bottle and that annoys me a lot. I will not repurchase this.

this is a really inexpensive cleanser that really does get it all off. the fragrance doesn't bother me and didn't break me out. this is definitely a cleanser that would work for someone with naturally oily skin. i have naturally dry skin that produces too much oil to compensate for the dryness, therefore this product is too harsh for me and only makes my skin more flaky and oily over time. lately i've been using it as makeup brush cleanser and it really works well! as for a skin cleanser this was a huge disappointment for me

I always try to experiment with different cleansers, but no matter what, i always come back to this. It gets off all my makeup, and doesn't leave my skin dry. And oldie but goodie

Average, standard cleanser. I feel there should be something better out there though.

I've been using this for about a week now and overall, it's not all that great. First of all it's not a foam, it's a gel like consistency which I guess is supposed to foam up on your face. It really doesn't it's kind of more like a thick lather. Second, this stuff smells HARSH. It smells chemically like dishsoap or some other harsh, cheap detergent. It doesn't burn or sting, but that smell is wildly offensive to my senses. It removes most makeup and doesn't leave my skin feeling too dry or like it has residue. It just feels like normal soap but smellier. If it didn't smell like that, I'd give it a higher rating. Never again with this stuff.

I love this cleanser - takes off makeup and daytime dirt and I don't need to buy a seperate eye-makeup remover anymore. It genuinely leaves my face clean and smooth, and it's a decent price, with NO ALCOHOL! Neutrogena are on a winner with this.

I'm new to washing my face, never had an issues with my skin and I'm super lazy so I just didn't. But then I started to get cystic zits at 27, and I'm a picker so I figured I should wash my face. I actually love using this before bed, completly takes all my makeup off in two pumps. Its like my skin can breath, who knew a clean face could feel so good. Its only con I can think of (other than the effort of washing my face), if that my skin feels a bit tight after, but for all I know thats whats suposed to happen. Moisturizer takes care of that problem in a jiffy.

this stuff is crap!
pros:
cute packaging
non drying, foaming formula
cons:
FRAGRANCE! the fragrance in this is SO strong.
every single time i try this cleanser, my skin reacts with a flare up on contact dermatitis from the super strong fragrance in this dumb cleanser.
if you have skin that is the slightest bit sensitive, do not use this stuff!!

Love this! I don't have to use a separate mu remover when using this one. Melts away my MAC Blacktrack fluidline without stinging my eyes. Love the pump bottle as I hate fumbling with caps in the shower. Rinses clean and leaves my skin with a fresh feeling. The only cons I can note is that it is fragranced, which can be irritating for some. I also think this could be drying for some, but that can be said for any foaming cleanser. I might switch to using this only at night when the weather cools down as my skin is a tad drier in fall/winter, but for now it's perfect. I definately will repurchase. EDIT: This is a bit too drying and I found I still needed a separate mu remover with it. I'll probably switch back to the Eucerin Hydrating cleanser when I finish it up.

I'm on a tretinoin acne medication (Stieva-A) so I can't use face cleanser with salycilic acid and this one is really good. It washes away all the makeup, remove oil without drying and makes my skin feel fresh. I have been using it for a year now and need to buy it again cause I'm running out.

I used this while pregnant since I was told I couldn't use anything with salycilic acid and I ended up loving this. It doesn't break me out, removes all my makeup even mascara, etc and doesn't leave my face dry or tight. I have combo/oily skin and it works wonderful. I'm not too crazy about the smell but for the price and how well it works it doesn't really bother me. I LOOOOOOVE it and will continue to buy.

I really love this cleanser. At first, I just planned on using it as a cheap backup cleanser for when I ran out of mark's That's Deep Purifying Gel Cleanser (which is the one I was using before), but I liked this one so much I ended up switching. It has a nice clean scent that isn't flowery or obviously fragranced in any way (now that I think about it, it actually smells exactly like you would expect a cleanser to smell), and it effectively removes all my makeup at the end of the day. It's also extremely affordable and easy to find, which is important to me; I hate having to hunt for stuff. All in all, I expect I'll be using this one for a while now. I have found that, no matter how hard I try, I can't resist experimenting and I'm constantly buying new skincare and makeup products to try out. But I definitely plan on repurchasing this. It works, it's simple, and it makes my skin look bright and healthy after cleansing with it.
