This is probabaly one of my favorite MSFs from MAC. The color is just gorgeous. It's a very light glow. That's exactly what it does to my face. It just makes it look so glowly especially in the light. It's too bad this product was LE because now it goes for a pretty penny. If you use a light hand (I personally think that's all you need) this product will last you awhile.

Not cheap bought it off ebay for about 40 bucks...yeeeeshh! But I figure I will use it more then 40times so it will even out in the end right? This MSF is great for my light complexion I use it above my cheek bone for a bit of 'glowy-ness' and it works for me everytime. I even get a few compliments from the girls at Ulta and Sephora! I am sure this will come out again as a re-promote and the GRAB it up ladies!

This HG highlighter was my very 1st Mac purchase (before I succumbed to many more!) I wanted a highlight that wasn't too shimmery or white and didn't leave me looking like an extra from Star Trek!! I had read a couple of magazine reviews on it before I went in search of my local MAC store. I couldn't see it on counter, so asked the MA if they had any. With much huffing and puffing she eventually gave me the last one from the stock drawer!! It was much later did I realise all the hype that goes on about this product when I saw one advertised on eBay for5 times the counter price. I use it daily on top of matte blush. I have very oily skin which breaks through my MMU and MUFE HD powder in less than 1 hour , so I like to start the day as matte as I can. This MSF gives just the right amont of "lift" to my matte finish and as the day wears on and I get shinier it doesn't leave me looking like I have a metallic finish on my face. The HG of highlighters!!

Pure lust, love and all that jazz.

This is the KING of highlighters, for a really great solid price. It's just decent and wins in all aspects. Subtle glow, luminosity, mix with moisturizer to increase sheen, not chunky, very finely milled, lots of product, and it's gorgeous!

If you ever want to own a highlighter, you must own this sometime in your life. It's godly.

This is an amazing highlighter!!! It gives a beautifully subtle sheen that doesnt scream at other people, nor is it invisible.
This is definitely no blush item - highlight is what this product has to offer - and ONLY highlight. Having said that thats part of what makes it special - it can be used with a variety of colours without adversely altering the colour of your base blush - many other highlighters tend to add their own hue and take away the trueness of of your blush colour, Lightscapade really doesnt manipulate colour that much.

Brush choice will make a big difference to what effect you get with this particular MSF. On my pale skin a 187 is completely useless, I prefer the 165 with this, or any other tapered or angled cheek brush would work as well.

These MSF are really great value - the amount of product in them makes them a really goody buy, if this were ever repromoted I'd probably grab one or two more.

From the photos, at least on my monitor, this looks like Mac's "Moon River" from the Mineralized Blush-Duos, & "MR" is the most popular 1 of that bunch here on MUA. In fact I second that motion, lol -- but just haven't had time yet to add my own review on it. (Also, "MR" is the 1st of that group to have already sold out on Mac's website, so garsh am I glad I read everyone's review here & ordered "Moon River" the day after I ordered "Love Rock", instead of "waiting to see how you like 'Love Rock' 1st", as Mac's MA advised!) SO: can anyone here on MUA confirm that "Lightscapade" DOES in actuality look just like "Moon Rock"? Or is it completely different -- or... what? I'd appreciate your help as I notice the PPP's who've bought "Lightscapade" & learned how to apply it correctly have found it to really work. Thanks so much for an answer, dear friends!! :-)

HG highlighter!!! Lightscapade is a glorious swirl of pastel colors that all come together to create the loveliest glow! On my NC20 skin, it leaves a soft, ethereal effect that I love! I'm so sad that I missed out on the original release and had to pay higher prices to get it, but it's well worth it!

I don't understand the hype about this product. I ran to the store the day it was released because I was mesmerized by the beautiful marble, but on my skin it was a dull creamy-yellowish sheen with visible shimmer that emphasized my pores and flaking skin. The SA actually brushed too much of this up and down the bridge of my nose; my nose looked like those lazer swords from star wars. I did end up buying this anyway because the product itself was so beautiful, but I seldom reach for it anymore. I think the chunky and coarse looking shimmer is an overall tendency of MAC's MSF's; I prefer Estee Lauder or Dior for shimmer powders or luminizers. I completely agree with the reviewer a couple of reviews below that it made me look like I didn't wash my face.

I have a really pale complexion and this is the only mineralizer I can wear without looking like a glittery pop star. Its incredibly subtle and therefor the effects are very natural looking. I am so sad its discontinued.

I really love this as a highlighter. I had a backup, but I sold it because I don't think I could ever use the whole thing. It's really lovely though. Totally worth all the hype.

It's not that special, as far as I'm concerned. The best to be said is that it looks fantastic, a really covet-able item beaut wise, and it is quite pretty to look at, as well as it having a lot of product, for quite a cheap price (when it first came out, i definitely do not think it is worth the rarity value) and is a great standard highlighter by a good brand (MAC :P). Especially so if you have experimented with highlighters before and you prefer powders, then this is great! Personally, I think it is not extraordinary and does not outperform anything I have bought in any aspect, but there is nothing wrong with it, and the effect is quite pretty

I would never, never buy again. The packaging sucks, everyone knows about the droppping mSFs nightmare, but all that aside this is intended to be a highlighter is it not?
It. fails. miserably

-it's chalky, the most "matte of mac MSFs" is a very nice way of putting it
-its chunks of matte-ish glitter are so huge. the particles are wayyyy bigger than i'm used to with any other highlighter (benefit, body shop, nars albatross, vanilla pigment, meteorites, etc), like huge, noticeably makeup look huge

However, it does look pretty ^_^, too bad it absolutely fails at looking the good kind of glittery, dewy, or sheen-y in any way.

I wanted this ever since I started buying MSF and being a late comer to MAC I missed out on the LE launch. =( After hearing alot of great reviews on this I caved and bought it on ebay plus shipping fee totaling around $AU100. Abit pricey but no regrets at all. It's now my favourite highlighter, better than NARS Albatross.

The least shimmery of all the MSF's I go to this when I just want to bring out my cheeks to my brow bone without the overly dewy effect. Not chalky on me and I'm an NC25. So tone from medium to fair, this would definitely work.

I've gotten many compliments when using this. It's my new HG and will definitely purchase again if it runs out.

Bleh! Why is everyone and their mother after this? SO BORING. When I first used this, my initial reaction was "o0o0o" but now after using other (&better) highlights, my reaction is more like an "ugh!" - Lightscapade is a mixture of colours, specifically those that were in the Corps de Coleur quad which was also released with this skin finish. The quad & the MSF are boring & instead of giving me a glow, or 'dewy' type of look, it makes me look like I don't wash my face. This comes out WAY too chalky on me, I've used nearly ever blush brush + 187 + 188 for this, tried different application techniques & even tried to use less (or more) when I thought it would help.

I didn't buy Lightscapade when it was released and I kicked myself for it. Luckily I managed to get my hands on one eventually.
It's absolutely beautiful. Gives a gorgeous ethereal glow to my ppp skin. Looks stunning when used to highlight my cheeks if I'm doing a smokey eye.
Probably one of the prettiest MSFs in the pot and definitely one of my favourite MSFs.

Maaaannnnn, there are a lot of harsh reviews about this one! I'm NC50ish (I guess, I use Px fdtn) and I use this as a highlighter along my nose also mix it w/ concealer for under my eyes. Blended well, this works great for me as a h/l. I'm not sure how fair people use it, but darker folks can use this as I mentioned above. This is the most matte of the MSF highlighters. Having said that, if you're not a collector, don't pay a ton of money to get it, instead try Soft and Gentle or Shimpagne.

I have just received this product from ebay, as it is currently discontinued by MAC, and I am in love!! I am an NC15 or NC20 and due to me very light complexion I tend to have a hard time finding a highlighter that does not look too dark on my skin. Lightscapade looks like a pastel multicolor marble in the pan, on the skin, it gives a light almost etherial glow. It took me a few tries to get the application right. I began with a flat-top sable brush, which deposited too much color making the glow look a bit fake. Then I tried a synthetic blush brush, ok but still too much product on my skin. Lastly I tried my duo-fiber brush, which I hardly ever use unless I am applying a liguid highlighter, lighscapade looks fabulous with this brush, the application is light and I can buff it into the skin to create a glow from within. It's a shame that MAC has discontinued this product. I would recommend it for anyone with light white skin to light asian skin. Application does make a difference with this product, so be mindful of your brushes or you might end up looking too glowy.

This is very pretty to look at and doesn't do a bad job highlighting. It's the first MSF I ever bought, since then I use the other ones more often than this one.

Such a beautiful little treasure to own. I love this, but I only use it on special occasions because I am not paying an arm and a leg for another one.
Originally I got this (paid far over retail) just because it was so pretty in it's pan. Visually stimulating, with the light pink, blue purple and yellow veins.
When buffed into my skin, lightscapade makes my skin glow like nothing else. gorgeous. Subtle, yet it really makes a difference.
If you have the chance to get it, I recommend it : )

Love it! It looks absolutely beautiful in the pan and on my face. Most skinfinishes are too "shiny" for someone with oilier skin like me, but this one is just right. It looks rather white in the pan, but it just gives me a really nice glow without looking chalky. I use the fan brush to apply it on the highlighting areas (brow bone, tops of cheeks). Would definitely buy again if it weren't LE. However, I should note I bought this in December of 2006 when the collection came out and because I only use it to highlight it still has tons and tons left (almost as much as when I first bought it).
