This is actually a really nice brush. My only other foundation brush purchase was a Sephora Professionals foundation brush, which, while I loved the brush design and the handle of the brush, it just streaked my foundation way too much. So I returned it. Then almost a year went by and I accumulated Chanel and Mac mini foundation brushes from gifts. I never used those because I'm really a collecter of all things makeup. Well, I always wanted to get another foundation brush, b/c the streaking turned me off (which I heard that a foundation brush isn't supposed to streak your foundation too much anyway, so it was prolly just the quality of the brush), plus the prices for this brush turned me off. Well, I just happened to be in a Bloomingdale's and was in the mood to purchase something Clinique b/c I had a return of their slightly overpriced lip plumper, full potential. So, I decided to give this brush a whirl. At first I was turned off by the clear lucite handles of the Clinique brushes, but now I've grown to love the style.
Well, now on to the brush. This brush applies foundation beautifully! Very smooth and even. Only slightly did I have to use a sponge to blend. I put just a dab of foundation on the back of my hand and used the brush. This allowed me to not overdo foundation on my face, which is a good thing :). The hairs of the brush were soft and I think that the way the brush is cut makes foundation apply smoothly.
I am definately impressed :) I'm so glad I decided to give this kind of brush another try. It retails for $28 which I guess isn't too crazy considering I do own a $55 Nars eyeshadow brush (I don't know what I was thinking :) ). Definately give this brush a try. It works well w/ cream to powder foundations as well.
