I recently got this, because I heard how good Nivea is, and it is pretty much true. It has an enduring effect keeping my skin from drying out the whole day, which is exactly what i need, along with keeping my skin soft and smooth. gotta love nivea :)

I agree that this lotion does a good job making your skin smooth and soft to the touch, but unfortunately it is just not rich enough for my dry skin. The nourishing lotion and the cream with Q10 (the one that comes in a tube, not in the bottle) are by far more suitable for me. This could be great for people with normal or slightly dry skin. I'll still repurchase because the softness is amazing.

Three main reasons why this is my holy grail body lotion: 1. It makes my skin feel soft. 2. I get compliments from people on how smooth my skin looks. 3. My b/f says how soft and smooth I am and can't keep his hands off me, hehe. I use this product everytime I get out of the shower. It keeps my skin feeling pampered and it really brings out my skin complexion. It isn't greasy like most Nivea brand lotions I've used. It soothes away dry, ashy skin and keeps it healthy. So I high recommend this product!

This is my HG lotion! Nothing affects my skin like this does--nothing!

Leaves me dewy soft all day, even in the middle of winter. It has a silky texture and soaks completely in, yet does maintain a moisture level even 12 to 16 hours later. No reapplication is necessary, even on elbows and knees.

Also, after about a week of use, I immediately noticed a drastic change in the texture of my skin. Fine lines and wrinkles on my hands smoothed out dramatically. I was so blown away I started using it as eye cream and it works great there too.

This stuff will literally make you silky soft!

This is my HG lotion. NOTHING makes my skin softer, smoother and glowing. I like the smell too. Fresh and clean. LOVE IT. I'll never use anything else.

Love this lotion! After using up one bottle, I didn't repurchase for a while until I realized that no other lotion was better for the price. My other favorite is 100% Pure's lotion, but it's expensive and heavily fragranced. I see some people are complaining about the smell. I can pick up almost anything with my nose, seriously, I have really strong olfactory glands or something, and this scent has never offended me. Yes, it is scented, but I always thought it just smelled fresh and clean, not perfume-y, certainly not "old lady". It sinks in reasonably quickly. Now that it's summer it takes longer to soak in on me, but that can't be helped. Even in winter, this light lotion kept my skin soft and smooth =) Will repurchase, already have!

This product REALLY does live up to its name. I'd been eyeing this for a while now, but I was afraid it would be like the other Nivea products I have (Nivea creme, for the record, was too heavy and felt disgusting in the humid climate because it wouldn't sink in, and Intensive Milk was alright but had an odd smell) but I caved in and bought it anyway. And boy am I glad I did. You know those other lotions that makes your skin smooth at first but then fades after a while and then your skin goes back to feeling rough? This is the opposite. Upon application, it takes a bit of work to massage in, but sinks in fairly quickly. It also does not leave grease stains on furniture I happen to come into contact with, which is a bonus. Hours and hours later, my skin is STILL smooth. Baby smooth. No more rough scaly skin! (: I also love the pump, which means no greasy bottles.

I bought a small trial sample to try one. The main complaint is that this is oily, it does not sink in at all. The scent is better than other Nivea products which I hate. The lotion also has a nice texture.

I love this body lotion! I go to school in Wisconsin where the winters can be very harsh and drying. With this lotion, I only have to apply it once a day when I get out of the shower and my skin stays soft and moisturized all day, even in the middle of January! The scent is a little strong at first but it fades soon after I put it on. I would definitely recommend this as a daily body lotion.

This lotion is sooo good!! Its so silky and smooth and not too runny but not too thick. I have very dry skin in the winter and this isn't moisturising enough for winter, but I looove this stuff in the summer as it gives me gorgeously smooth skin and i like the "typical nivea scent". I will definetely buy this again when it gets warmer.

This is one of the best body lotions I've ever tried...so very close to HG status (I'll try it for one more week and update about it). FYI, my natural skin color is tan and I live in the tropics, where we have no defined change of seasons and the sun is pretty harsh on your skin all year long. I depend on a good sunscreeen and I'm also addicted to body lotions or else my skin tone can get VERY uneven if not taken good care of. I've been using this lotion for four days now and my husband and sister-in-law inmediately commented on how "glowy" my skin was. It absorbs quickly and spreads nicely (not sticky). The smell is typical Nivea, so I can see how many people won't like it. I'm not too sensitive for smells and, anyway, the effects are worth the price (around US$7.99). Great product!!!!

I'm on my second bottle of this and I just can't get enough of it! I'm so in love with this lotion I couldn't imagine using another one. It absorbs nicely into my skin, making it feel smooth (theres the smoothing sensation for you). And I don't feel dry/itchy later in the day. Go buy this lotion!!!!

Love this. As a daily use body lotion it cannot be beaten in my view. It is incredibly moisturising (and smoothing) hence the title of the product. It's major plus is that despite its moisturising effects it is not a thick and gloopy cream, it's a thinish lotion and it sinks in faster than any other lotion I have used. It leaves no residue. Others have mentioned the old lady scent - it just smells clean to me (and does linger for a while) but as I am in early 40s maybe I like old lady scernts! I always get smooth skin after just one use. My only gripe with this is I wish it came in bigger bottles - I have only seen 250ml bottles which disappears fast if you are using on a daily basis. At the moment I use this on all areas except thighs/bum - where I also use another Nivea product (Goodbye Cellulite) which I have also reviewed. The two used together have given me lovely skin lately. I have not really been a fan of Nivea products in the past but I have incorporated several into my regime recently and I have been impressed. (The other products I use are their Q10 handcream and thie calming day cream for sensitive skin - both excellent products.)

I tried this in a travel size and I really like it. It is much less greasy than the original Nivea body cream. The scent is very nice and very light in consistency. I think this will be a great new body skin care find! Oh, did I mention that this is very inexpensive too!

EDIT: Itchy again. D'oh! I'm going to blame it on the horrific, nightmare smell and so leave myself reasonably open to repurchase should they ever change it.
Nivea original moisture is my all-time favorite for effect -- nothing makes my skin look more unabashedly awesome. Unfortunately, nothing makes me itchier, so love it though I do, I can't wear it. I picked up some Smooth Sensation thinking (hoping) that a different fragrance combined with a lighter formula would render a Nivea lotion wearable on me. So far, no itching -- just nice soft skin. It sinks in quickly and is entirely non-greasy, yet still feels very moisturizing. It's really good! So why, then, did it only receive 3 lippies? And why do I feel that's generous? Because this has the absolute, hands-down, most horrifyingly strong smell. Ever. And it isn't a good strong smell. I put it on before I went to bed and everytime I would roll over, I'd get a fresh whif of this. It's DREADFUL! And, though I really find it perfect in every other way, the chances that I'll repurchase are very, very slim. I will likely use the remainder of the bottle, slowly and by degree on days when, perhaps, I'm severely congested. Why won't they make an unscented lotion???

great product. cheap and very effective. makes my skin so smooth I'm amazed, though I do tend to use a lot since it's relatively cheap. like the smell though kinda wish it was unscented...it def. gets in the way of my body spray so I don't even bother anymore. but makes my skin so smooth and def. worth it, but not that great for elbows and knees. for that, I use something like olive oil instead. but this is the best for your body in general.

I've been using this lotion in the colder months. I have eczema and I think the shea butter in this formula keeps it at bay! The scent is barely noticeable after you've been wearing it awhile, and even still, it is just a light, clean fragrance. It's creamy but absorbs well, unlike some heavier lotions I've used that seem to sit on top of my skin, no matter how or when I apply it. It sinks in beautifully, melts in, and leaves your skin feeling nice and soft, not overly greasy or sticky.

I love this.. it makes my skin so touchably soft- but the scent bothers me... I am picky with them because I'd prefer a nonscented lotion.. but I think I would buy this again... my man loves this on me =)
