I really like this shampoo. It smells great, and is very creamy and moisturizing, which is good since i blowdry and straighten my hair almost every day. When I'm done straightening, my hair is rediculously smooth and shiny - i swear it's like i have a headful of silk! (my hair is pretty soft naturally, but this shampoo definitely helps.) Later in the day, my hair isn't quite as shiny and smooth, but still looks fine. I wouldn't say this really made much of a difference in straightening. I pair it with my favorite Sheer Blonde conditioner, So Sexy straightening gel, and Frederick Fekkai glossing cream (all of which i ADORE).

This wasn't a bad shampoo, it smells very good and is creamy but it didn't my hair any straighter. It's very cheap (under $3CAD) and I might buy it again but I have tried better straightening shampoos.

Sorry to have to break the chain of great reviews, but I was not thrilled with this. My hair is generally straight but it has a bit of a mind if it's own if I don't use my hair blower and straightening iron..... so it's not naturally pin straight or anything. I thought I would use this to help get it straighter while I blow dry so I don't need to comb through my hair with the brush so many times... I found that this made my hair heavy looking or limp. I gave it 3 lippies because 2 days later my hair isn't greasy and it did give my hair a pretty shine. However, the new no frizz one from the herbal essences line worked great and I found my hair was way more shiny, had more bounce, and was easier to blowdry too!

Maybe this would work better for the curly haired girls... but for the people who just want help getting their almost straight hair straighter....... I'd be skeptical of using this.

I think the Herbal Essences line has greatly improved recently. While I haven't noticed a lot of difference in the straightness of my hair, I do notice that it is smoother and shinier than before, which is never a bad thing. I love the scent of this shampoo (and conditioner). I will try other formulas in this line, but I might come back to this one!

Loved it. It made my hair very glossy and shiny looking. The "None of your friziness" one made my hair softer though.

Everything about this product is attractive. But, my hair has enough natural wave in it that I knew even this great formula would fail in the end. First time I tried it I dried my hair and straightened it and it looked really nice (the same as it does with pretty much any other shampoo I use).

So today I washed it and let it dry naturally. My hair looked pin straight for a while, but as my hair dried the waves came back. As it stands now, my hair (AGAIN!) looks the same as it does with any other shampoo.

I've said it before and I need to stick by it, all shampoos are the same. I have a bunch of different things I've tried and none of them render my hair shiny and silky. So I won't be repurchasing this shampoo. Bottom line, doesn't work any better than other products out there. If you have wavy hair, then you know that none of the other products work either. =)

This smells delightful and has a pretty shimmery maroon color to it. I have wavy/curly hair that's short and this did a decent job of smoothing and relazing the curls. It left my hair soft and shiny (I guess from the pear extract and pearl)lol. I paired it with the hello hydration conditioner. The shampoo itself cleans well without overdrying my hair. I also didn't feel any residue which is great. For around four bucks, this is not bad.

Whoooaaaa, okay so I've only used this once so far, but I feel the results really warrant a great review! My hair is not wavy, but has a natural curve to it, and tends to get frizzy. No shampoo and conditioner set has ever really have been effective as their claims. This makes my hair straight and VERY shiny! I've never experienced shine like this before! It's almost like I've just flat-ironed my hair! I will try to update after I've used this a few more times and hopefully it will still deliver! *crosses fingers*

Edit: Okay, it's not as great as when I first tried it. Maybe my hair got used to it? Also, I'm not really a fan of the scent. :( Something about it just doesn't smell right. It really sticks to my hair and lingers...

I saw the ad campaign for the new Clairol Herbal Essences hair care line, and picked up the Dangerously Straight Shampoo on sale (and with a coupon!) at my local CVS. I have fairly normal, long straight hair which I wash daily or every other day, depending on the weather. The Dangerously Straight shampoo has "a fusion of honeyed pear and silk." Not sure whether those ingrediants are what help keep my hair straight and sleek, but it sure smells like a warm, sweet pear! This shampoo is delightful smelling, lathers nicely, rinses clean, and best of all...keeps my hair smooth and non-frizzy. I am quite pleased, especially for the price! Give this new hair care line a try - the line includes conditioners, styling products, and of course, targeted collections for color treated hair, hair that needs body, etc. I was never really impressed with the originals, but the new, improved Herbal Essences are on the money!
