I was so excited: Jane makes a tinted moisturizer! I wanted something sheer, because foundation is often way too much for me (I usually wind up mixing foundation 50/50 with moisturizer). this was TERRIBLE, though! it came out of the tube gloopy, went on my face opaque, and made me look like I was wearing a creepy orange mask. I threw it out.

I loved the smell of the SPF in this, especially for summer. Otherwise, I didn't really like this "almost" foundation. It went on really thick and I guess was just too dark for me because it showed up kind of orange. I swapped it right away. Not saying it's a bad product though because it might work well for a different skin tone.

I read the reviews on here and thought I would have diffrent results because my skin didn't react badly to my Jane concealer and oil-free makeup. First when I applied this the coverage was not sheer at all, in fact it didn't cover anything like I hope it would because I wanted to use this as a base for concealer.. Then 2 minutes after I put this on my skin itched like crazy which is strange because my skin really isn't sensitive... I am returining it right after I write this...

Not a fan of orange. My skintone is usually not that difficult to match. It is fair in the winter easily tans in the summer. The light was too light, medium too pink, and deep turned me orange. I didn't really like the consistancy of the product, and it felt like foundation. Actually, it felt like sunscreen. Just not pleased overall.

I saw this was on sale at Walgreens and bought it since I want to switch to a tinted moisturizer for the summer instead of foundation.

The lightest shade is way too dark for my skin and gives me a scary orange line. It moisturizes okay, but I'm afraid it's making me break out. I had gotten my skin under control and just after I started using it, I got two new zits.

I have used CG Smoothers tinted moisturizer and it is leaps and bounds better than this crap. Next time I will just buy that instead.

I was so excited when I noticed my Walgreens had the new Jane products! I was looking for a lightweight tinted moisturizer, and the spf 30 in this one appealed to me. It felt pretty light going on, but it made my face slightly itchy. My biggest problem is that the lightest shade was too dark for me. I returned it, and won't repurchase unless they make lighter shades. Too bad, because it felt great (after the itching stopped).

The lightest shade, amazingly (and I sit here amazed because there are only three shades to choose from), is a great match for my skin tone. Pros: handy tube packaging, sheer coverage, smooth, comfortable matte finish (contains the silkening dimethicone), SPF 35.

Cons: no listed expiration date on the packaging and no UVA protection (only contains octinoxate, oxybenzone, and octisalate that provide UVB protection), so it won't help with sun-related skin aging despite the high stated SPF. I can see wearing this in the evening after the sun is no longer an issue or over a broad-spectrum sunscreen, but I won't repurchase because I don't like the hassle and the feel of multiple products on my skin when all-in-one tinted moisturizers are available.

Update after a week of wear: my chin started breaking out, so I think I will return this product for a refund and buy a product that will be gentler to the skin and contain better sun protection.

The lightest shade is too dark for me, I do not find it to moisturize at all. I still had to use my regular moisturizer underneath of it. Horrible. But it does have a nice matte finish.

Seems thick but still applies sheer, amazingly enough. Good coverage, great price. Like the high SPF.

I absolutely love this product. I have never had to deal with acne, which i'm very thankful for, but my skin is very sensitive and prone to redness. It also tends to get very dry. I usually use Covergirl tinted moisturizer, however I saw this product and since it was about 3 dollars cheaper, I figured I would try it. Within a week, most of the dry patches of my skin were gone, therefore reducing the redness. And the tint in the moisturizer really evened out my skintone, I didn't even need to use the loose powder that I usually put on over my moisturizer. Since it is only a tinted moisturizer, it is very sheer and probably wouldn't do much for acne, but if you just need light moisture and a tint to even out your skintone, I'd highly recommend this.

The lightest shade is way too pink and a little too dark. The sunscreen in this burns my skin. Is also a little greasy. Definitely won't buy again...this is one of the few Jane items I haven't liked.

I loved the scent of this, the texture, creaminess, blendability and price. I didn't like the fact that there were only 2 shade choices (light, and dark) and the light was much too pink for my pale, yellow-toned skin. I wish I could find a tinted moisturizer with this consistency in a shade thats right for me! I will not repurchase, unless they come out with more color choices :-(

Saw this on my way out of Brooks and began reminiscing about jane from my early high school years. This TM, unfortunately, does NOT have adequate UVA protection (does not contain avobenzone, titanium dioxide, or zinc oxide) so you would need to layer a separate sunscreen underneath, which makes its already greasy feeling even worse. Don't bother with this one - there are many 3-in-1 (moisturizer/tint/sunscreen) products that are far superior.

Oh well, it was only $5 at Rite Aid so i have to be glad about that- when a product says oil free i expect it to not be so greasy and dewy! i got this in 'deep' which is a great match for my skintone, however the texture and finish is very oily and sticky and feels very greasy on my face - i am looking for a sheer, light foundation with SPF for the spring/summer and grabbed this when i saw it, but i am not going to be able to wear it, it is just tinted oil. not going to work, oh well... EDIT - i splurged on Laura Mercier tinted moisturizer oil free in Almond-- $40... and it is much greasier and 'dewey'er than this Jane is, so if i had to chose between the two, i would pick this Jane hands down.!

The previous reviewer is right, it's not suitable for people with oily and/or acne prone skin. With that out of the way, I have dry skin. So this product is good for me. This is usually the problem with tinted moisturizers. A lot of people tend to think that it's too oily. But it's perfect for someone with dry skin, because it will be less likely to enhance flakiness on cheeks than a normal foundation would. This offers a sheer coverage and it moisturizes well. Although it might feel a little heavy for hot summer nights. This also has an SPF of 30. If you're anything like one of my friends and hate the smell of SPF, this product is not for you. The line only offers 3 colors (fair, medium, deep), but since it's so sheer, just pick the one that's closest to your skintone...duh. This cost 5.99 CDN. I'd buy it again.

I bought this tinted moisturizer with high hopes. It has SPF 30 and it states that it is oil-free on the tube. For the price, $5 for 1.5 ounces, I thought I couldn't go wrong. Well, I've used it twice and both times I broke out horribly. My skin has been so clear since started Diacneal and I haven't had a break out like this recently. After the first use, I had two small pimples, but it was also that time of the month, so I wanted to give it another try. I used it again yesterday, and have 6 new pimples today. I never have more than one, maybe two at a time. This was horrible for me. I gave it two lippies for the price and packaging, and maybe it would work for less acne prone skin, but not for me.
