i went to my local MAC counter and the sales rep was super nice and helpful she helped me find Prism which is a great color for my skin tone. i use my MAC 129 brush to apply and i use a very light hand in doing so. i totally recomend this product to women with olivey/tanish complexions.

Color: muted, dusty medium brown toned pink. A neutral, nude-ish color. I disagree with reviewers who said this had a lot of peach. I don't get much peach from this. I don't like peach blushes usually because they tend to turn orange on my very warm toned skin. Another MAC blush that has a similar base color tone to Prism is Sincere which is the peach toned version of Prism.
Texture: matte. pigmented but not overly so...A problem I have with matte blushes is that sometimes they are just SO pigmented that it's hard to work with and ends up looking overdone/clowny on me. Prism is *just* right. Pigmented but not too much.
My favorite MAC blush EVER!!!! I love this for everyday, for a muted, neutral contour in the hollows of my cheeks--this is the sophisticated blush that you see models in magazines wearing, the slight wash of nude/brown toned pink that makes their cheekbones look sculpted. I had a hard time finding the perfect nude, neutral pink blush--NARS Zen was way too pink and not beige enough, MAC Uncommon's greasy creme texture is sucky in warmer weather. Chanel Tempting beige had shimmer which I didn't want in a nude muted blush.
This is definitely my favorite blush to wear to work. love Prism! my skintone is C4 in MAC Studio fix, medium tanned asian.

This blush is my first MAC blush and it beats out my previous favorite (NARS Deep Throat)! In fact I was a NARS blush person and this blush is going to convert me to MAC. Super natural color, just melts into my skin, easy to blend. I love how this color coordinates with a warm or cool palette. (it's got some brown, some pink, and some warmer golden tones). Love the fact that it's got no shimmer. Definate HG material.

This is so pretty and so great for everyday use. I'm a warmer Asian skintone and I use this on the apples of my cheeks with a little bit or bronzer and it imparts a natural dusty pink/brown color. I wear it when I don't feel like wearing too much makeup. It just makes me look very healthy.

Versatile pinkish brown that would suit a variety of warm and cool skin tones. I used this for a number of years on and off. Very neutral/natural look but not as natural looking as Cubic. I have abandoned this look recently for true pale pinks (such as Chanel Neroli Rose) that do more justice to my fair skintone, blue eyes and silvering hair.

I luv this color!! (I'm a smokey eyes person, so I REALLY need a blush that could go w/ my heavy makeup)
I used to have NARS zen, but then I realized zen doesn't really show up on my skin (maybe it's becuz of my #187 brush??) anyways, I gave it to my friend. So I kept going on searching for my FAV. pale brown blush w/ a hint of pink. VOILA~ PRISM!! luved it~ many ppl luved it on my face~
I'm NC20~

i use this as a contour blush, i'm a NC30. i was actually looking for emote but they didnt have it and the MA suggested this one instead. i'm pleased with it and it actually looks good as a regular blush as well. matte and subtle for an everyday natural look

I received this as part of a set so I was unable to select the color, which is simply not flattering for my cool coloring. It's a totally matte dusty brownish pink, and on me it just looks very dull and dirty. I adore some other blushes by MAC, but this one simply doesn't work on me.
UPDATE: Gave Prism another chance, and I like it a lot more than I did before. I think my coloring may be a bit warmer now than when I first received it, so it creates a very natural, pretty flush. It's perfect for days when I don't want to wear much makeup, but don't want to look washed out either.

this is my "i want to look natural" blush. i have warm undertones and i think it compliments me very well. it doesn't stand out too much and i love that it contours my very rounded face. =)

I'm still on the fence about this one, it's a good everyday blush though. Matte without and shimmer or anything so it looks natural. I have to blend really well though or else it will look un natural and splotchy, the same shade I turn when kinda flushed. I asked the MAC sales rep for a pinky-brown shade, and he chose this, when we were choosing between this and blushbaby. I say give it a shot if you're thinking about it :)

I’ve probably tried out 75% of all of MAC’s blushes, but find always find myself selling or swapping them away because I’m a tried and true NARS blushes devotee. Prism looks like it could be one of the most boring cheek color ever. It’s a matte subtle pinkish nude. It reminds me slightly of Blushbaby, but less brown. I was skeptical that this color would show up on my C4 complexion, but decided I could always use another try at a natural-looking blush for those more conservative days. I am pleased to inform you that this color really is quite perfect as an everyday blush. It imparted a very natural, healthy natural glow to my face. I didn’t look too excited or flustered, just healthy. The staying power is typical of MAC blushes – good, but not phenomenal. As much as I think this blush is great, I think I may end up swapping it since it didn’t completely wow me and yes, I feel like I’m betraying my NARS blushes.

I just bought Prism and I absolutely adore it! It looks very similar to Sunbasque (my favorite peach blush) in the pan, but on my tan olive (NC30) skin the two appear completely different. Prism appears lighter and just slightly rosier on my skin than it looks in the pan. Prism is very subtle and a beautiful neutral shade that won't clash with any eye/lip colors-- which is what I was looking for today. Gorgeous!

This one is going "back to MAC". I have had it for years and every time I use it I remember why I have so much left. This color looks like grey mud on me. Almost no color at all. Not a very pretty contouring color either. Reading the reviews, it seems like a lot of fair women like the color - but I am not one of them. The quality of the product is typical MAC - very good. But this color is not uniformly good on even women who are fair. I doubt it would work at all on women of medium or deep complexions.
Me - 44, auburn/hazel, fair/medium, C3

I loooove this blush. it is a natural, shaded-skin color on me (I'm NC20). it is perfect for creating depth by dabbing a bit just under the cheekbone. love it!

I don't see any pink in this color. On me (NW20) Prism is a matte peachy nude.Although I usually love MAC's matte formula blushes, this tends to goes a little splotchy on me somehow. But I also can see how this one would make a great contour blush. It's not one of my favorites but enough useful to keep in my stash.

The Mac associate rec. this blush on my nc40 skin, but it was too matte and boring on my skin. the brown made my skin looked bruised. wouldn't buy again, but i use it anyways whenever i'm not wearing too much of any makeup.

This is my hg blush. I'm an nc25-30, and blushes usually make me too flushed, or unaturally so. This gives a nice tan-rose blush that looks super natural. Of course, the quality is great (mac blushes are great). This is the perfect everyday blush that gives my face a bit more oomph!

I am on my second compact of this product. I have used this for the past 8 years and am very happy with this color. It is a matte pink/brown. I have fairly fair skin, dark brown hair and hazel eyes. This gives me a very natural flush with a hint of a summer glow. I like to wear it sometimes instead of bronzer, especially at night. Definately one of my favorite MAC products. Will repurchase when I run out.
