Love this stuff! Love the fact that I can wash my hair and body with the same stuff and not have oodles of irritation all over. I don't seem to have much of a scalp sensitivity problem, but things that do not irritate my scalp can easily cause itchy rashes all over the rest of my body. I like and don't like that it has no fragrance. It seems silly to complain about a lack of fragrance when that is one of the things I like most about it. I do like a slight fragrance though! Others have suggested adding a favorite essential oil to the product, not a bad idea, but doesn't that defeat the purpose of buying this in the first place?
All in all, I will continue to purchase and use this product unadulterated by pretty smells. It leaves my hair extremely (proudly) shiny and weightless. Great in combination with the conditioner (which I use as a leave-in.) Superb everyday shampoo that works well for the whole family, even the four year old.

I wasn't too thrilled by this product, because I must admit- I like at least a subtle fragrance with my body washes & shampoos...So, in an effort not to "waste by throwing away," I decided to put a pump on the bottle, and I use it to clean my make-up brushes! Works like a charm! Cleans all of my make-up brushes without any residue, and makes 'em smell brand new again!:O]

I had used this for a couple of years as a hair shampoo, as I had liked the fact that it didn't leave buildup. I finally realized, however, that it just didn't clean my hair well enough, and it left my scalp feeling itchy and dirty. Considering that my hair is extra-dry, and I can't wash it every single day, this just doesn't work for me anymore. I'll probably finish up my huge bottle of this shampoo in the shower, but I won't be re-buying it.

This is a very basic shampoo. It has virtually no conditioning agents at all, but it has no dye or fragrance. That makes this shampoo perfect for the times my scalp acts up. And it is a good body wash too.

I am on my umteenth bottle of this product. I usually don't use it as a shampoo. I use it daily as a body wash. It is unfragranced, and moisturizes my dry arms and legs without oiliness. My skin washes clean without a film left on it. It foams a little, but not very much. It comes in a tall plastic bottle with a cap that flips open. The bottle is not beautiful, but is utilitarian and does what I want it to--dispense the product. I get anxious when I only have one bottle of this left. I always like to have two on hand. That's how much I like this product. I have a tiny bottle of this that I refill from the large bottle to use on trips. On trips one can use this as a body, face and hair wash. I hope Paula never stops making this product, because I have never found a body wash that is as good as this one.

Less than average shampoo, but better body wash. Leaves hair flyaway, staticky, unconditioned, and rather dry but sticky. Doesn't leave hair clean enough to last without washing for two days. I would not buy again, even as a body wash.

This was my HG when my rosacea/dermatitis-prone skin was acting up so terribly that I could not even use fragranced hair products of any sort. Also, I was dying my hair darker at the time (so not too damaging). These days, I'm back to a full-highlight of blonde hair, and wow...this shampoo is not so hot for very dry or damaged/processed hair. I had to give it up after a while and switch back to Redken All-Soft products. Both of PB's fragrance-free hair products (poo and cond.) left my hair looking and feeling dull/limp. If you really cannot use fragranced hair products, these are not so bad, but I will say I was quite relieved to ditch these when I finally got my skin under control!

Again, another great product courtesy of Paula Begoun! I have a sensitive scalp and right before I started using this shampoo I was having an issue with breakouts on the back of my neck. Didn't know what the deal was but assumed it was my conditioner. It cleared up as soon as I started using this shampoo. Don't be fooled by the "for hair and body" thing. I was skeptical about this (just like I am skeptical about shampoo and conditioner in one). Guess I just like separate products. I don't know, but for some reason I decided to try this and I am so glad I did. It's so gentle compared to all the other products I use (probably b/c it is unscented). It is the only product I would feel okay using as a shampoo, body wash, and even face wash.

Fabulous fragrance free shampoo. Very few of them on the market. Great for my thick, coloured and highlighted hair. I use the biggest bottle and it lasts a long time and I wash my hair 3-4 times per week. Use just a quarter size amount. Like all Paula's Choice products, they are on mail order, can't be purchased in any stores but not that big a deal. For people that can't use fragrance in shampoos, this is the best one out there!

This doesn't work for me.
I have fine, straight hair, very picky on shampoo. My hair lost luster after using this (and most other mass-market shampoo, except L'Oreal). Although it does less harm to my hair than a lot of other grocery store brands, it does not worth the money. I would rather go for L'Oreal or Garnier.
The result is much better after using the conditioner. But hey, doesn't Paula suggest people with fine hair use shampoo only? She herself couldn't make it work alone?

I have fine hair which I wash four times a week. Three times a week I use a good thickening shampoo but once a week this is the shampoo I reach for. I like the simplicity of the product and the way it leaves my hair clean, soft, full - for me! - and bouncy, despite not being a specialist product. I lather only once, using a generous amount of shampoo. The conditioner I use is a thickening one, so perhaps Paula's shampoo isn't the whole answer, but if ever I use up my other shampoo - years away probably - I'll be interested to try this on a more regular basis. On a short stay away from home I took this and used it as a body wash as well. Very useful.

I bought this as trial size with the conditioner. This is a good basic shampoo/body wash. It didn't irritate my sensitive dry skin and ther is no buildup from using as a shampoo.
There are plenty of products that are easier to obtain and cost less and are also fragrance free(neutrogena for one example).

I have oily acne prone skin with oily scalp but dry and damaged hair. I tried this shampoo to help prevent acne along hairline. This shampoo leaves my hair dry and unmanageable, thus I must use conditioner along with it. Lack good amount of bubbles, doesn’t keep my hair clean and fresh for over twenty-four hour, daily shampoo is required with this shampoo. As for using as a body shower gel, didn’t feel any difference and the lack of bubble is not much helpful either. One more thing, it’s difficult to squeeze the shampoo from the bottle, they need a better design. In addition, the price is a bit expensive considering there isn't much benefit from using it. I am trying Neutrogena shampoo; the result is very promising.

My favorite shampoo ever! I have had full healthy hair with this and no nasty reaction like I did with L'oreal. I have purchased about 5 16oz bottles of this and will continue to do so!

I actually think this is a little expensive for Paula's line! But I do like it as a clarifying shampoo and use it before I color my hair. May or may not repurchase--I'm just not sure how this is "better" than a 50 cent bottle of Suave clarifying shampoo.

I've been using this for about four months now and this is the shampoo I find myself reaching for more and more above the others. It really is a good shampoo and the best part is no itchy scalp! Dead of winter and no itchies. That has never happened before. When I go back and use my Dove or Pantene or whatever, itchy head. So there you go. I will repurchase although I think its a little expensive combining price and shipping for a bottle of shampoo but until I find someting exactly like this on a drugstore shelf I will pay the cost for a non itchy scalp in the dead of winter.

I love this! It reminds me of a KMS shampoo I used that was also fragrance free. Even though, there is a clean smell to it. I've only used it for 2 days on my naturally curly hair, so I'll update if it makes my curls go limp. So far, I don't expect it to and I like it over my ISO & Nexxus (Assure) that I've been using. I don't mind ordering it through the catalog, because this product is worth a few days wait.

Oh Paula! What would I do without you? Since I became pregnant, my somewhat-sensitive skin has gotten so sensitive to the point where any fragranced shower product makes me itch and flake like mad. This is the only shampoo I could find that works, and is completely fragrance free. A lifesaver! I also like that she does not include any conditioning agents or buildup agents in her shampoo whatsoever. People with dry hair may not appreciate this, but I do. I have a lot of fine hair, and if I condition it more than about 3x per week, it gets really flat and dull. I don't have to worry about that with this shampoo. (I don't use this as a body wash--Aveeno Frag. Free is about 1/3 the price, and is more moisturizing).

I was drawn to this initially because it's unscented and I keep buying it because I love having one product I can use for both my hair and skin- and it doesn't break me out at all! Paula's products are starting to be a little less affordable but I will still buy this at 12.95 because I can also use it as a bodywash, so it's like you're getting two products in one.

It's okay. I've bought it a couple of times, but I don't think I'll be purchasing it again. There's nothing spectacular about it. I like a nice scent in my shampoo and conditioner, as well as my body wash. This has no scent at all. Bo-ring. It's also kind of pricey, because you have to order it via the internet and pay for s&h. There are cheaper shampoos at the drugtore so I think I will find something else.
