I don't know what I would do without this moisturizer! I came across it after having no success with a few drugstore brands. I was intrigued by its gel formula. I've got to say I am extremely pleased with the results! Skin feels really nice, I've used it for weeks alone at night, and under foundation during the day. Overall a reat product for keeping skin moisturized.

I got a sample of this along with the (surprise!) ddms. I like it, but not enough to buy the jar. I would rather have a tube or a pump haha but on days where my skin is flaky and dead I would exfoliate and then use this. My skin actually looks different the next morning haha

love this product especially because it's a gel. since i live in hawaii..sometimes the humidity would make my skin feel oily when i would use cream moisturizers...but not this with gel! under makeup..or even just by itself it makes my skin feel hydrated without feeling heavy and i haven't experienced any breakouts due to using this moisturizer (unlike some cream moisturizers i've used in the past). yeahh it comes off a bit pricey to some people but i definitely think it's worth every penny...and it lasts a good amount of time (i use it in the morning and at night). i'm currently on my third bottle and i will for sure be continuing to use this product until they stop making it *knock on wood* haha. :]

SUPER DUPER HYDRATING <3 It's also made up mostly of water which is great for my oily skin~ Has a nice and light scent to it and is also nice on the skin :) I always use this when my dramatically different moisturizing gel doesn't do the job~

This is one of the best moisturizers I have ever used. It sinks into the skin quickly and you really don't need a lot. I have oily skin but it also gets dry due to acne creams, but this gave me enough moisture without making my face more oily. I will definitely buy again

This didn't really do anything for me, nothing bad, but nothing good either. The ingredient list leaves a lot to be desired.

This is a fab product. I think some people get confused with this though, this is meant to be used in conjunction with your moisturiser. If you follow the instructions which comes with this it states that you use this following their 3 step programme which is cleanse, tone and moisturise. This is to aid moisturising and is for people with dehydrated skin, or for skin which needs an extra boost. It is not intended to be used on its own. Use this very sparingly, you honestly do not need a lot at all! I don't personally use it all over - just targeting the more dehydrated areas (for me its the cheeks and forehead). Doing this means that I do not end up with an oil slick of a face due to my pores over producing oil to hydrate my skin (especially on my cheeks).

i really wanted to love this product !!!! i love the fact that ``scent free`` actually meant no smell !!!!!! not at all !!! the consistency is great and would be suitable for night time use; however, when i woke up my face looked so oily and was incredibly sticky. the gel just doesnt absorb as well as a good ole`cream moisturiser.

This gel / creme is perfect for my oily skin. It is lightweight, cooling and makes my skin look flawless...it also helps with my eczema outbreaks, which nothing else seems to work on. I buy the large pot because it's a lot more product for a little more price. I don't think this would be a good face cream for dry skin...for that, I would recommend their Dramatically Different.

OMG THIS IS A MIRACLE PRODUCT!!!!
I have combination skin with some random extremely dry patches and an oily T-zone and oily inner cheeks. It seems like I can never get rid of the dryness, and if I do, it takes at least 2 days. This product solves that. I just rub a generous amount over the dry areas...And BAM! Insant smooth, soft skin! And the areas actually STAY moisturized! No more rough dryness! Doesn't give me break-outs either. I originally got a sample from Sephora, and it was so amazing that I just had to get a full sized jar.
I use this at nighttime and before makeup. My foundation (MUFE HD or LM Silk Creme) always clings to the dry areas and makes them look really obvious and worse than it actually is. I used to spritz a whole bunch of MAC Fix+ to fix that, but that just wasted a lot of product and it didn't always work. I still love my Fix+, but now that I have this baby I don't have to worry about dry patches anymore.
Okay so FYI, I don't have a whole lot of experience with moisturizers. The only ones I've tried are Cetaphil Moisturizing Lotion and Aveeno Positively Radiant Moisturizer SPF 15 (my daytime moisturizer). Both only give subtle moisture. There might be moisturizers that are just as good (or better) as Moisture Surge, but to even have a moisturizer that's this moisturizing is a miracle to me considering my limited number of moisturizers.
My only complaint is the price. I costs $36 for a 1.7 oz. jar and $48.50 for a 2.5 oz. jar. Honestly, I'm not used to paying so much for skincare as I splurge on makeup and save on skincare. But this product is so good I won't complain. (:

I got this in a sample package and didn't use it for the longest time thinking that it would make my already oily skin greasier. However, I recently saw on a random website that this moisturizer should be used for oily skin that feels tight to provide hydration (not oil). After using this product, my oil production seems to have reduced significantly. I used to use about 5 oil blotting sheets a day; now I use 1! I'd say this is the greatest moisturizer for oily skin. I gave it a 1 for packaging because I noticed that although the sample came in a tube, the actual product comes in a jar, which is always more difficult to use.

This is my 3rd jar, love it. I have normal/combination skin, works perfect for me. I was looking for something new to try, but I always come back to this gel. I know that this product is packed in a jar,but I like it.

I got a tube of this with a gift set and I LOVE it. I don't know if I would like the jar. I think the tube is more hygenic. At any rate... I really like the way this feels going onto my face. It is so smooth and I love that it does not have a scent.

I ended up buying a full-sized jar after being impressed with a smaller jar that had come with a Clinique gift with purchase. The problem with the large jar is that even though the shelf life is supposed to be 2 years from the time of opening, the consistency of the moisturizer changed a bit after the first year in the jar. I could see by the product code that I had bought a fresh jar, and I kept it out of the light and heat and didn't contaminate it. But after some time as the jar got more empty, the remaining moisturizer felt increasingly more "tacky/sticky" on the skin. Perhaps certain ingredients were evaporating with time?
Either way, the moisturizer smelled nice, with minimal scent, and worked relatively well. After two years of comparing, I've decided that I prefer the yellow Dramatically Different Moisturizing Lotion over this in the long run.

This is the best moisturizer that I have found so far.It feels light and smooth and can been worn under makeup with no issues.I was given samples of this and the dramatically different moisturizing lotion and I choose this one over the DDML because it felt smoother on my skin and most importantly the ingredients were better. The DDML contains parabens and the Moisture Surge Extended Thirst Relief does not contain any parabens at all. Also,I love that this moisturizer is fragrance-free.I cannot tolerate the perfumey scents that most moisturizers contain. So,overall this is an excellent moisturizer that leaves your skin feeling unbelievably soft.

I really like this moisturiser, it is really light but still moisturising and it doesn't clog my pores or irritate my sensitive skin. There is no scent and it sinks right in leaving my face soft and smooth, no shine or greasiness.

I like this stuff because it is a lightweight gel that sinks into my skin and isn't greasy. My face still looks matte with this on - no shine. I have very little oily breakthrough. However, as soon as the Moisture Surge Intense came out I jumped ship. My skin is very dry in areas and despite the name, this was not quite moistuizing enough. Good for summer - not for winter.

Loooooove this stuff! One of my favorite summertime products!
It's a lovely refreshing gel that soothes my dry skin without making me greasy and cloggy in the summer - I usually wear Philosophy HiaJ but in the summer it's just too gross feeling when I'm sweaty and it's humid. :) This is much lighter, and feels like a dream going on. I have to reapply every 4 or 5 hours if I'm really really dry, but otherwise it leaves skin baby-soft under makeup. My skin is usually combo to dry but I bet this would feel great on oily skin that needs a little extra hydration, too.

AMAXING moisturizer for dry skin!!! It's not going to provide you moisture all day but at least for 5/6 hours it keeps my skin feeling soft and baby like!
The only problem is that iys in a jar so some of you germo-phobes would have to get a spatula! I'm fine using my fingers though :)

I got a free 30ml sample of this in a magazine and haven't stopped using it since. It is really light in texture, glides onto the skin and spreads really nicely. It is perfect for under foundation and would purchase it for this purpose.
However, the name suggests that this provides intense moisture for dry skin but I would say it is not the most moisturising of products and sometimes I have to apply a couple of layers. If I wanted an intense moisturiser for dry skin then this product wouldn't do.
