A white matte eye base. No shimmer. It is perfect for your eyeshadows to stick to. Just remember since it is white, that it will make your eyeshadows have a different tint (in this case a bit lighter) to them. They are pretty easy to depot. I just cut the tip off crushed it in the pot I was going to put it in, took the bottom cap off, put the pencil (and pot) in the microwave to melt and soften. Its convient either way though. It is the perfect white base. It can be hard to find in stores though that are not ulta. Easy to blend and help eyeshadows to not crease though I still recommend using a primer underneath since the NYX jumbo pencil is not exactly a primer.

This is pretty good for highlighting the brow bone and inner corner. I only apply it on the lid when I put primer down first, but it really does make color pop. It's creamy and blends like a dream with your fingers. I like it a lot, but not enough to rebuy.

This is perfect for highlighting the brow bone and doing an inner corner highlight. The shade is perfect and it is very easy to blend in.
I have never used this on my lid, but I imagine it would crease as my other jumbo eye pencils do. However, I would definitely recommend and will purchase in the future.

I was a little worried to try this since I hated my other nyx jumbo shadow pencils since they would crease like crazy and would slide right off but I love love love this as a inner corner and under brow bone highlight or to line the waterline. it is a great opaque white without any shimmer and it really makes any shadow you put on top of it pop. I don't use it on my whole lid since that would probably crease as well but it works beautifully as a highlight

DISSAPPOINTMENT... theres a LOT of hype with this product! and for me its not worth it.. I have oily lids ( not crazy oly but oily in the end...) and this thing does NOTHING to prevent my eyeshadows from creasing... its a very strong white and i really dont find it a nice purpose... not even in waterline and less on my inner conner.. BAD BAD BAD

I don't get Milk. I just didn't find a use for it at all. I hated using it as a base - it applied streaky and uneven and unnatural, even though my skintone is fairly light (NW20). It's also too stark and unnatural as an inner corner highlight. I just don't see a use for it at all, I don't get the hype.

This works great as a base, if you use a bright colour over top, it looks really nice. It was easy to use, and you didn't have to press really hard when you applied it. The price is really good too, but one thing I did not like was it was hard to sharpen.

If you want a colored eyeshadow [like blue, green, purple etc] to show to true to color then using this as a base will do wonders.
Because I stick to neutrals I don't tend to need this as a base. I usually just put this on the inner 3rd of my eye to brighten the area then pat a highlight color on top to set it.
Nothing too fancy but this gets the job done. Not too fond of the packaging since you do need to have a sharpener with a big slot. I wished they made these NYX pencils like a twist up kinda thing (like the clinique chubby sticks).

This is the only colour for NYX's jumbo pencils I would use. I bought other colors but it's far too creamy for my oily lids & will start smudging after a few hrs. Needless to say, the lids look horrible with oily smudges of colour!
Milk however is a different story. I use it as a base colour by dabbing it all over my lids (all the way up to the brow) & blend it out using my finger. Other eyeshadow colors "pop" on top of it. But if I'm feeling lazy. I just wear it on its on & it brightens the eyes beautifully. I will definitely repurchase milk.

i love this pencil. it has sooo many uses. i had to do my makeup in the car this morning cause i was running late to take my daughter to her drs appointment, so i used this as my all in one eye routine. it really brightened my eyes and blending so easily. i got this because of all the reviews on here and on YouTube and im really glad i did espically since i got it 50% off at ulta. i cant wait to get more. but i wouldn't use this as an eye shadow because my aunt made a comment when i was younger that just plain white eye shadow makes you look like a hooker.

This is a pretty good shadow stick/primer. It definitely enhances my eyeshadow colors and makes them pop. It's super creamy and blends easily. Every eye primer (even urban decay ones) creases eventually with me, so my search still goes on for a primer that doesn't crease, but oh well... My only complaint is the packaging, you lose a ton of the product when you sharpen it. I think I'm going to be depotting mine whenever I have a jar laying around that I don't need. Otherwise, this is a must have and is awesome!!!

UPDATE 2/13: Still loving this. Its a DAILY staple, I cant go without (still on original pencil, so its a steal). It really shapes/defines my eyebrows which realllly frames my face, makes me look so put together! My favorites spots are under my arch & under the brow hair directly above my tear duct. People always ask if my brows are stenciled in because they look so neat!
Very versatile product. I use this daily right under my eyebrow, especially the arch & it really defines the area; giving me a clean cut look. Its great for covering up hairs ready to poke out that can make me look gray/ashy there. I've also successfully used it in my tear duct & outer edge of eyes to highlight (but be careful it can glide around through the day!
P.S. There many great HE/ds primers/paintpots/creme shadows out there to use as base for eye shadows to make them pop/last longer. This one doesn't fit the bill for me for those uses so I don't bother. Also, the lid is plasticy so ofcourse already cracked.

One of my absolute must-haves! This is one of those workhorse products: I use it as a base, a highlight, or to clean up harsh lines. It just....works. I'm almost down to the nub on my pencil, and I'm DEFINITELY buying at least 2 more of these the next time I go to Ulta, because this is a desert island essential for me. This is still so opaque and creamy, even though the pencil has worn down. I find that Milk is a lot less prone to creasing on top of primer than my other NYX Jumbo pencils (don't even get me started with Slate; ugh, that one is AWFUL). I just really wish NYX would come out with skin-tone shades in their line of jumbo pencils, because even though I rate this 5/5 stars in a heartbeat, some darker gals can't pull this off because it's so stark-white. Even I don't feel like using stark-white as a base all the time. But it really does what everyone says it does: it makes brights and neutrals really come to life and pop, it's ridiculously easy to blend, and it's dirt cheap (and we all know that's the best part, right?) :)

Not only an amazing base to make colors more brighter and intense, but also a very great base for eyebrows! I have 3 brow powders, and no matter what I could never get them to show up on my skin- it would take forever, even with a damp angled brush. Anywho, one day out of curiousity- I applied this lightly over my brows and began apply brow powder, finally it showed up and I was able to sculpt the perfect brow in no time, and didn't have to dip my brush into the powder over and over. Prior to applying Milk onto my brows and lids, I prime them both with Urban Decay's Primer Potion- and my eyeshadow doesn't crease, and my brows look matte all day. I am in love with this product, and have been using it for a about 2 years- the NYX white eyeshadow base is also good, but Milk is 10 times better. Everyone should try this little gem.

if you like matte highlights, this is a MUST HAVE. i hesitated on purchasing for over a year... but i've been using every day for 2+ months now as a brow highlight and inner corner highlight no matter what eyeshadow look i use! so blendable and doesn't crease in those locations as long as you pat/blend. i understand the hype now!

I'm in love with these pencils. Milk is the most versatile. I can use it under any shadow (and over UDPP) to make it more true to colour than it would be without this as a base. I have a few other colours which, when used under corresponding e/s colours, make them more vibrant.
For everyone who's been having trouble with sharpening, I grabed a sharpener from LA colours that has a regular-sized hole and a hole that fits these Jumbo pencils, and it works amazing! By far the best sharpener I've ever used, and it works for all pencils.
I get a lot of my NYX stuff from porkdaisy.com and beautyjoint.com. Discounted from retail prices and they don't kill you with shipping charges, especially in North America.

After seeing all the rave reviews on this, I knew I needed to try it but NYX has only recently become a bit easier to obtain in the UK.
I finally got my hands on one - and I'm so glad I did.
I use it over the top of my TFSI because it does crease on me if I don't put something a bit more durable underneath it.
I don't use it as a 'primer' in the sense that I want it to make my eyeshadow last longer - I use it as a neutral base to make my eyeshadow colours pop and it does an absolutely fantastic job at this.
The only con to this is, whilst the jumbo pencils are available from a few online retailers in the UK now, it took me FOREVER to hunt down a sharpener. I've just got my hands on one, but had to order it from the USA which was a bit of a pain!
Will definately repurchase if I ever run out but I'm not really interested in trying any of the other colours as white works just fine for what I need!

Great product! Definitely worth buying. This product works great as a base for eyeshadows (instead of applying the Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer) or as a highlight for the inner corner of the eyes. Easy to apply.
