NOT a good brush AT ALL!!! it actually HURT my face!??! it would leave streaks and had horrible coverage. the foundation seemed like it would sink into the brush and not on my face!! I recently bought the Bare Minerals Mini Pack of four brushes (black with pink dye at the top) at Sephora and it came with the flawless face brush that i love!! so soft on my face! I dont get how its the same but the one that is black with pink dye at the top is the best i have ever used :) sorry i dont now the name :(

This brush came with my starter kit and I was really looking forward to using it because I thought it would give good coverage. Well I was wrong it barely transfered any product and made it really hard to blend. Also the hair felt course and had to be washed everyday or else it would scratch my face. All in all an expensive brush that I feel isn't worth the price.

I don't know why I bought this brush. Well, yes I do. I did because I bought their mineral foundation (which I HATE!) but I don't know why I keep it. I get at least 5 hairs on my face each time I use it. When I first pulled it out of the packaging without anything on it I found hairs. I wash it regularly like my other brushes but it is just terrible! It hurts my face! I'm sticking with my Pur minerals from now on.

I got this brush with my Bare Minerals Starter Kit. The bristles were soft, the coverage it provided was good, but the bristle fallout was HORRIBLE. I would have like twenty different strands on my face with a couple of swipes, and I'd have to pick each strand individually off because it would settle in the powder. Yikes. I would NOT recommend this brush.

My mom bought the Bare Escentuals set, but she didn't like it, so I asked her for the brush. She let me have it. I washed it and used it for my Cover Girl Cheekers blush. It's ok, but pretty much any brush like this works.

Really scratchy, just like the Kabuki(just not quite as bad). There are much better brushes out there like E.L.F, which sells $3 brushes that are heaps better. It's not an absolutely terrible brush, but for the money, it's just not good enough.

In my opinion this is a pretty good blush brush, mine is decently soft and picks up a lot of colour and is able to evenly distribute a product.

Downside - it does shed a bit, but not nearly as much as the bare escentuals kabuki which is horrific! At least 10 hairs shed per application and that one I would consider scratchy.

Overall, a decent brush to use, I received it with the starter kit so I didn't shell out a lot of money for it. However I would say to get something cheaper thats the same if not better quality. Maybe E.L.F or Ecotools.

i got this brush in the starter set, so i didnt pay full price, but full price for this brish is a little expensive, IIRC.

so far i've only had it for a few days, so i'll update this after i've used it for a while.

the brush isnt really all thae "scratchy" like some other reviewers have mantioned. then again, i used the brush that came with L'Oreal's mineraly foundation, and it was HORRIBLE, so maybe i'm just used to a much worse brush and thats why this one isnt so bad to me =)

my only real complaint so far it that the bristles are coming out a few here and there, but i figure that that may stop after a little more use, since it IS a new brush.

as far as applying the mineral foundation and mineral veil, i use the full coverage face brush for the foundation, and this one for the veil, and it seems to work just fine for a medium coverage applcation. however, i dont think i'd like it for a full coverage face, but thats not what its meant to do anyways =)

the only reason i wouldnt re-buy this again is that i would buy a cheaper brush seperately and it would probably be softer. having said that, i'm not upset for have gotten it with the kit.

UPDATE 11/5/11:
i'm no longer using the BE foundation, but i still use this with the mineral veil over top of my foundation and blush. <3

This brush is awful. I first got it when I bought the bare minerals set. The bristles weren't soft, it was pretty stiff and scratchy. The bristles kept falling out too so I would get strands of hair on my face after I used it, so I stopped using it. Fast forward a couple of years and for some reason I decided to buy the brush again. I figured that maybe BE would have changed their brushes but it turns out I just wasted my money. I had the same problems..stiff hairs, shedding, scratchy feeling when using it on my face. Definitely learned my lesson.

Unfortunately, this brush, like all of Bare Escentuals brushes, is extremely scratchy, dry, and thin. I didn't give it zero starts because it isn't unusable, but it doesn't do anything a good brush should. It's scratchy and uncomfortable and I consider that the ultimate offense for a brush. As if that weren't bad enough the bristles are just very sparse and it does not do a good job of applying foundation evenly. I have five or so BE brushes that were passed down to me by my mother, who took exceptional care of them and seemed not to mind the feel of them. But no matter how much I wash and condition all my BE brushes, they are simply very, very rough.
For the price, this brush is just a disaster. You could pick up drug store brushes for a quarter of the price that are far superior in feel and quality. Sorry BE but your brushes are just awful! The only tolerable ones are the kabukis, which are still quite rough.

This brush is very scratchy even to the touch of my fingers. I even conditioned the brushes twice and it was still scratchy and rough. I had to ruin the brushes by trimming the outer bristles that were too scratchy. It helps somewhat but I figure that the same thing will happen again.

I'm not sure why this is getting such bad reviews here. I use bare minerals every day for my foundation. I use this brush for my foundation and mineral veil application. It's big and fluffy so I use it all over my face to get a base of coverage with the bare minerals and then use the concealer and full coverage brushes to refine the coverage. The nice thing about this brush is it's easy and fast while providing a nice coverage.

On the 'scratchiness' that people mention: wash it first!! let it dry and 'fluff' it with your hands the more you use it, the softer it gets. always wash your brushes first.

This is very scratchy and is not for applying mineral powder, how could it!?!?!?! Terrible brush, wouldn't even work as a blush brush.

I dont know why i bought this brush. I think because at the time it was a well known brand with mineral makeup. I got it off ebay in 2007 and i was highly disspointed when it came in the mail.
this brush retails for $22 on the bare escentuals website and omg what a rip off!!! this brush reminds me of the cheap brushes you buy for a few dollars. Goat hair?? well im not sure but this thing looks and feels like straw, or like barbie doll hair. Its scratchy, not the tiniest bit soft and it sucks ass as a mineral brush. I couldnt even buf fmy powder which is the whole point with mineral powder. I cant beleive BE continue to sell such a product. I walked past their counter a few months ago and felt the brush and i was like OMG it hasnt even been updated!
one thing i also dont like is the shape of this face brush, its not even dome or kabuki shaped! so i have no idea how im suposed to apply my mineral powder with it. I have kinda found a use for this brush and its s a blush brush. But still i have cheaper and better brushes out there. Ladies QVS paris line brushes are like ecotools/body shop. taklon brushes and really soft, buy them!
i guess the good thing i can say about this brush, is it hasnt shed on me, and its well made. Its ok dense, but the scratchy cheap feel of the hairs is such a turn off!
Dont waste you money... invest in something like eco tools.

I got this brush with my BE starter kit. I use it to apply my finishing powder and it does the job but for the price I will not repurchase I'd reccomend everyday minerals brushes instead of this their much softer and cheaper
