I adore this powder. It is so silky,it feels like nothing on the skin,i'd say this is great for someone that does not need a lot of coverage, just something to even out the complexion,it is perfect! I have this in Conceal and it is just the right match(awesome shade variety). It is inexpensive and the packaging is wonderful. It is minerals but nothing like BE,cause this does not emphasize pores or lines,it is not shimmery, and it has spf 8.Another great product from Tarte!

This product ROCKS! So natural looking, no cakeiness at all. Highly reccommend! My Holy Grail! Product is so cute too. Wish the corset detail was on the compact, instead of the box, it came in, but nonetheless, the compact is cute, and the product inside, really works. Does anyone know of the refill fits into any of the Estee Lauder Compacts? Email me directly if so. email@example.com

Bought this because its cute and i love tarte btw. I love the powder, though it does not control shine as good as MAC blot powder, but then again its mineral powder.
However, after 3 months of use (not being carried in handbags/purse) the latch closure broke off the compact!!
Now I am so angry and upset because I cant return to sephora. I complained to Tarte and they said they cant do anything because I bought it from sephora.
DONT BUY THE COMPACT! Use Stila's instead or whatever that fits. don't waste your $20.

I really really hate to do this because I love Tarte so much, but I just did not care for this powder at all. I finally decided to try it after a long time of debating but it does not work for my skin type I guess. When I first put this on it looked great and I was really happy, but after about an hour or so my face was so shiny that you could almost see your reflection in it. I had read that some skin types react that way with certain minerals, so I am thinking that is what happened to me. So sad, but it looks like I will be returning this along with the super cute compact to go with it. :(

Oh my god! I am so glad Tarte came back out with a new powder. I feel like I hit the glow jackpot with this powder paired with Smooth Operator foundation. Ladies - this stuff is so awesome on my combo skin. It's breakout prone and can get very oily, and this has not given me any problems. This powder and Smooth Operator together gives me the most awesome skin! This is the best my skin has ever looked. The compact is sold seperate for $20 (also fits in stila compact), and the powder is $19.00 at Sephora. I must say that compact is of excellent quality and well worth the money. It makes me feel so chic! This powder gives the most awesome glow. It's a mineral powder that is smooth and gives good sheer-medium coverage depending on how much is applied. It has spf8- laughable, I know- but I use a seperate spf product. I use this powder in Illusion to set my Smooth operator foundation in Guise. My skin is nc42-43. I don't like a matte look and this combo gives a very satin glowy look to my skin. It soaks up oil nicely when I blot through out the day and does not get cakey. The powder reminds me of Stila IPF, but with Tarte - it has more oil absorbing abilities and does not turn to a greasy mess like Stila does on me. Tarte is more compatible with my skin type than Stila. Lately, I have been applying Smooth Operator and using the powder to set it in the morning, and use MAC Blot powder to blot through out the day, and it works like a charm! Skin stay looking glowy all day and doesn't get oily. Thank goodnes for Tarte. I am so happy I found my holygrail combo for fabulous skin. I haven't had any breakouts, so hopefully I will continue to have good luck with Tarte! I hope more people will take a chance and get this stuff. Tarte has really created something genius here. UPDATE: UPDATE: I tried NARS Powder Foundation and fell head over heals for it, so I'm not using this much. Also, this powder is great, but it can be a tiny bit cakey for touch ups when applied with a puff, so it's best to use a brush if you don't want a heavy look.

I loooove this. I've been using it for about 3 months and it hasn't broken me out. I used to use stila IPF over their TM, now I use Tarte Smooth Operator with this powder over the top. It gives a light-medium coverage and a beautiful glow. You can apply and skin still *looks* a bit dewy. But I don't turn into a greaseball because it isn't drying. I honestly can't express enough how much I really love this stuff. It diffuses flaws and evens out my skintone. The compact is too cute (dark purple metal with a little jewel thing that you press in to open the compact, and of course it has a mirror inside) This along with the SO is my HG. I think what I also really love about it is that the "sparkles" (if you can call them that, they are so minute, just create a glow) are golden, not silver like the stila IPF, so it never leaves me with a whitish cast. I find that w/ the stila, the more I put on, my skin looks sort of weird. This stuff looks totally natural. I have the lightest shade and it's a great match for my stila a/bare, mac nw15 skin. I will definetly be repurchasing again and again!

This is the new release of their pressed powder which is actually mineral based and has an spf8. It comes in a variety of colours and i picked Disguise. It goes on smoothly and with no cakiness and doesn't settle into lines. BUT it makes me so shiny!! It makes my combo skin look shiny within an hour of applying it and apparently this is common for some minerals. Oh well--thank God Sephora is great with returns.
