Wow! I decided to give Clinique Lash Power a try, and it does exactly what I want from a mascara, in this specific order:

1) Stays put the whole day. No rubbing or smudging.
2) Lenghtens and separates lashes beautifully. No clumping.
3) Is easily removed with just warm water and does not cause irritation.

It creates a natural look, not big fat dramatic lashes, and is therefore perfect for everyday wear. (To get the picture, it gives more definition than Clinique Naturally Glossy - without the rubbing - but less than Estée Lauder DoubleWear - without the clumping).

I think I have found a new love...

A very good long-wearing and lengthening mascara with decent curl hold on my spare, straight, short Asian lashes. I am very pleased with it! The wand is very small and thin which is perfect for my weensy lashes. I curl lashes, apply 3 coats, do the rest of my face while it dries then I hit my lashes with a curler again with a very light squeeze and a curl is set for 8 hours. No smearing or smudging after a full work day. This formula isn't volumizing, but I prefer length and curl. This might be my new HG! Also WAYYY easier to remove than my longstanding Sana waterproof curl mascara. So happy I tried this!

This mascara is great! With my deep set eyes, most mascaras run like crazy on me after a few hours. Nothing is more annoying to me than having a perfect face of makeup ruined by raccoon eyes, so I've been on the hunt for long lasting mascaras that also enhance my lashes. I naturally have long, thick lashes and this mascara does a great job of making them longer and thicker without any clumping. The small wand is a bonus because you can pretty much reach every lash with out. After a long day at school or work, my mascara manages not to budge.

This is the mascara of my dreams! I have very fine, long lashes, and I love mascaras that enhance those particular qualities. Think "doe eyed"; delicate, long, and defined, not thick, clumpy, or unnatural. The fact that its smudge proof and fairly easy to remove is a huge bonus, since I have a bad habit of rubbing my eyes and I don't like to use heavy duty makeup removers.

ETA: When I first wore this to work, the very second my co-worker saw me she exclaimed "You have a new mascara!!!". Yeah, it's good.

A tubular mascara that forms polymer wraps around each lash. The formula is rather thick and wet. I feel that this mascara does not work well for Asian lashes that point straight down. It works better for thicker and fuller lashes.

Pros:
-very smudgeproof
-water-resistant
-rather black in colour, which is good for darkening lashes and subtly defining eyes

Cons:
-a MESS to remove (it comes off in little bits, EWW)
-lashes becomes limp after a couple of hours
-have to remove a lot of excess mascara on tissue for this to work (Maybelline One-By-One WP does not require me to do this step)
-pricey and does not work (seems to be the case for Clinique products--all hype and no quality to me as their products falls terribly short of my expectations time and time again)

Back to my HG mascara. Using this till my HG arrives.

I bought this because I wanted to try a 'tubing' / fibre mascara, and beauty editor Zoe Foster recommended it. This mascara honestly never smudges, even if you get caught in the rain or shed a tear or two! But, better than waterproof mascara, it comes off really easily with *warm* water. Fantastic. The only tiny drawback is that you have to apply carefully to avoid clumps. I find that the best way is to just apply one very light brushstroke - don't go back over your lashes at all. Also try not to load too much mascara on the brush, wipe it briefly against the top of tube if you need. It also does lengthen the lashes really well. And is a pretty great price compared to other fibre mascaras out there.

I read a review on this and thought I would give it a go, unfortunately I found it at a department store charging nearly $50 for it....but anyway, I thought I should try something not cheap.
Unfortunately, I really don't think this is for me. I have quite long lashes already, but very fine ones. So this just clumped everything together into like 3 or 4 giant super lashes. Occasionally this has happened before with regular $20 mascara, but usually I can add a few drops of water into the bottle and dilute it a bit and its fine. The problem with the Clinique formula is that its already quite liquidy in the bottle, so I don't really dare to add anything to it.
Because its so liquidy and sticky, I have to scrape off a lot of whaht is on the wand, which wastes it as it is so expensive. Or I have to put it on and then brush out the large clumps, which also wastes it. Not really keen on buying it again with the price and lacklustre results.
Not reccommended if you:
- have long lashes
- have finer lashes
- prefer a more subtle, natural look
- don't have a lot of time to spend on doing makeup
- want something cheap

If only every mascara was as smudge-resistant as this one, and yet came off so easily with just a few wipes of warm water! Clinique mascaras are above average in quality, but this one is my favourite by far. The only downside is that it's not very dramatic, so I've been opting for l'Oreal's Beauty Tubes for the evening, but nevertheless, it's a fantastic daytime mascara. I can't go back to waking up with racoon eyes (despite scrubbing with makeup remover the night before), no matter how good another formulation of mascara may be.

I have never had a single bad thing to say about Clinique.....till now. This is by far the worst mascara ever. Its clumpy & so drying. Only good thing about this mascara is how black it is. That's the only thing I found I liked. I'm just sticking to my HG UD Lush Lash. Best stuff ever!!!!

I purchased this in black onyx and am very very happy with the results. I should say that the only reason I am not giving this a five is because it is not the perfect ultimate mascara in the sense that it doesn't make lashes fuller/longer than any mascara on the planet.

What I will say is that this mascara *does* do a fantastic job at separating and lengthening my lashes, it even adds some nice volume. No, it doesn't give the extreme results that you might get with Lancome Hypnose but what you give up in volume/drama (which is by the way is not a huge amount of difference but certainly enough to note) this mascara makes up for in giving absolutely smudge free results.

What I could kiss this mascara for doing is staying on my lashes all day and not giving me the slightest hint of shadow under my eyes. Even mascaras that didn't run or smudge much...would end up leaving a sort of shadow under my eye that just made me look a little dirty and not fresh .This mascara is the only one I have found that leaves my eyes looking just as fresh under my eyes as when I leave the house in the morning. This is something I really value.

In short- this mascara gives you more than natural results, but slightly less than dramatic vavavoom results but completely smudge proof leaving a fresh finish.

I suggest, if you want more drama, using a nice curling iron. I used my shu and my lashes stayed curled allll day long.

I have this and the blinc mascara as well but I think this one is better, I prefer this formula because it's not so thin and runny, with blinc I always end with black dots on my lid because it transfers before drying. I also find this one better at defining the lashes. It's really waterproof and smudge proof after it dries and comes off easily with warm water.
It doesn't add volume but it's good at lengthening and defining. If you wanna try a tube mascara give this one a try.

Love Lash Power. Great smaller brush covers each lash w/o getting mascara all over my face or clumping. And I can't live without the tubes. No raccoon eyes, ever.

I generally like this mascara. I really like the little brush for application. The formula is a teensy bit runny yet clumpy...hard to explain, but still does a nice job. It doesn't flake or give racoon eyes, but it's a little hard to get off. It kind comes off in "tubes" like that one beauty tubes mascara that I'm not sure still exists. I have to go through several cotton pads and lots of eye makeup remover to pull (literally pull) it off my lashes. Careful doing this or you could pull out lashes easily. I see a lot of people using warm water to remove it from the other reviews, so maybe I'll give that a whirl.

Got this as a GWP in Clinique's recent summer offer. Usually I love Clinique mascara, but this one was really disappointing. I have sensitive eyes and this did them no favours at all. It went on ok and made my lashes look fuller, but halfway through the day my eyes starting feeling really irritated and itchy. On inspection, I noticed the mascara was flaking and there were little black bits all round my eyes and in my eyes too. Washing it off was a nightmare as it goes kind of rubbery in texture when the warm water hits it, which makes it even flakier only this time you can't get it off your face because it sticks to any part that has the smallest amount of water on it! I only used this once and the hassle of wearing and washing it off was just too much, so it went in the bin. Disappointing.

My HG everyday mascara hands down. Firstly, it's only $4.50 more than the only DS tube mascara (from L'Oreal, which doesn't come in brown), so that makes it one of the more affordable mascaras out there. Secondly, it comes in brown, which was incredibly hard for me to find in another tube mascara brand (is there another brown tube mascara out there?).

This stuff is pretty great. If applied lightly, it looks totally natural. If applied a little more heavily, it does give a good amount of volume and length. HOWEVER-- This really doesn't give crazy volume or length. I'd go with another mascara for night time looks, but this stuff is phenomenal and won't budge after 10 hrs of wear. NO FLAKES! HUZZAH!

I think I've finally found my HG mascara.

My lashes are short. None of these so called "wonder" mascaras that claim to give false lash type effects actually DO that for me. So I've given up on that.

What this one does do though, is darken, lengthen as much as I'd like it to, define and not clump. It never runs or smudges and has a small brush that allows me to reach my short lashes.

I initially found it difficult to remove (was using regular oily remover) but have since found out that it is removed by adding lots of warm water and massaging off gently. PERFECT!!!

Ka-ching! This is the ONLY mascara I've found that doesn't smear, streak, smudge, or flake. I put it on in the morning, rinse it off with warm water at night. It is simply the best. Yes, you won't have those incredible glam eyes (at least I haven't found a way to make it happen) but you won't have raccoon eyes, either!

UPDATE 3/13: I'm a tubing mascara fiend and I still will use this BUT you will not get volume from this mascara. Would still purchase but have migrated to Blinc Kiss Me for everyday use.

I have went through about four tubes of this stuff. It does what it is supposed to; it stays. It only comes off with warm water so for me in the shower. It darkens my lashes and it looks natural.
