It's an ok color...a little bit too red for me. I would love it if it was a bit more on the purple side but it's really burgundy! Makes me look like I have allergies..so I will not be buying this again.

Sketch looks red to burgandy in the pan but goes on dark purple. It has a very nice texture and goes on smoothly and with great intensity. I used it in the outer V of my lid and as a liner with Vex on lid and Quarry in the crease and it looked great. I barely touched the pan and got plenty of color - this pan is going to last a very long time but I suspect I will use it often.

I love this color, it's absolutely beautiful and very pigmented, however it caused a horrible allergic reaction to my eyelids. At first, I couldn't figure out what caused it, but now there is no doubt it was this eyeshadow. My eyelids swelled up 3 times their size, became very red and itchy and made my eyes water. It took 4 days for my eyelids to return to normal. So for anyone with slightly sensitive eyes, take note. I've only been allergic to an eye product once before. This was my first and only e/s from MAC and now I"m scared to try any others. I know it may be only this color that I am allergic to so I will need to sample other colors first. With that said, I've never had any reactions to UD, Stila, Smashbox, or NYX so I'll probably stick with those.

It is a beautiful crease color if you are a shimmery all over the lid kind of gal! It has the nicest contrast against the pearl/shimmer eyeshadow next to it. And it increases the dimensions of your natural crease. I love how you can darken it just so it can be used as a going out night look too!

This is a great color. I love neutral eyeshadows, and while this looks quite purple in the pan, it still works as a neutral. I can wear this during the day lightly in the outer crease with a brown in the crease, and it looks neutral with some oomph. I saw the MA wearing it over texture in the crease and it looked like the nicest shade of brown that accentuated her dark brown eyes. I had to ask her what is was and had to buy it. It's a great way to spread out from the basics without getting color that is too much a for work/professional setting. It blends pretty well with a fluffy crease brush.

my favorite deep purple eyeshadow. it has burgundy undertones and it goes on pretty dark depending on how much product you apply on. i use this in the crease with a light hand and it gives my eyes a nice dimension. a flaw that i find in this eyeshadow is that it's kind of hard and not smooth as many of the other mac shadows and urban decay's. it's slightly harder to blend because of that. but i don't struggle much with it. overall, this is a great shadow, but i think you may be able to find a drugstore dupe that goes on more smooth. maybe.

I love this eyeshadow! The purple really brings out brown and green eyes, and is perfect as an outer v or crease colour, without being as harsh as black. I also love applying this as a powder eyeliner when I don't feel like blacktrack fluidline. Highly recommend

This is absolutely one of my favorite MAC shadows. It's a really pretty deep plum with lots of pigment. Easy to apply and blend, looks great with SO many other shades, and really makes my brown eyes pop. Not much else I can say about it... Just a great shadow, especially for brown eyes.

I broke down and bought this shadow. I love it. I have brown eyes and gravitate towards purple. This color is so smooth and it blends very well. It's very good for the outer V or for the crease. It makes my eyes pop. I will hit pan on this for sure!

Ok, If you have hazel or greenish eyes, THIS SHADOW IS A MUST! Sketch is my go to purple, even though it is more on the burgandy side, it is the right tone of purple to make my eyes look really intense. I have tried many purples that are more pink or blue toned, but they are not natural looking enough for me. If experimenting with colors, Sketch is a must, and unlike other velvets, this color is easy to apply and just the right amount of pigmentation. I am just so in LOVE with this color!!!

Pairs well with: Era, Carbon(for intense night look), EXPENSIVE PINK(absolutely meant for each other), Sand & Sun, Any peach undertoned colors, Hush, Seedy Pearl, Stars n Rockets, Parfait Amour, Orb... and so on.

Love this shadow! It's so versatile and wearable, depending upon what you pair it with. Over Indianwood Paint Pot, it looks more brown. Paired with Rubenesque, the purple comes out. Love this shade!!!

my favorite eyeshadow. i usually line my upper/lower inner rims in a black eyeliner, then smudge this all around my eye for that "kate moss" kind of look. its not a harsh color, but is definitely attention-grabbing. i have brown eyes, but when i wear this, they take on a honey tone - really, really pretty. will definitely buy another when it runs out.

Perfectly respectable color, very versatile. I use this color often as an upper lash liner or to deepen outer "v" colors.

I love it! I use it in my outer corner with jest, sketch and shroom or with shimmermoss and shroom. It makes my blue/grey eyes pop and make em look more greenish.

I love this color! Sketch has a beautiful deep burdundy/purple color with tiny copper/pink flecks. I use it for the crease or outer V for pink, copper red, and purple eyeshadows. I use this a lot as an eyeliner as well. Its just so gorgeous! Works well with Coppering, Passionate, Sushi Flower, Pink Freeze, Cranberry, and Amber Lights.

Beautiful silky shadow; rich shade, easy to apply. I put in the crease over satin taupe with a little more in outer V. Simple elegant look. I bought 4 more MAC shadows after my very first satin taupe - can't wait to try them out (got brule, all that glitters and glamour check besides sketch)

Love the color, and as with most MAC eyeshadows it goes on great. I used it as a crease color, and blended with burgundy on the lid and white frost as a highlight and got this great gradient effect. Added pink ice to the inner corner & topped it off with black liquid liner & lots of mascara. Loved it!
