I've only just discovered Vaseline after my cat scratched my face( haha) and I read online that it's great for healing wounds fast. The night before my wound looked awful and I thought it would take a few days to disappear but the next day it was gone! Unbelievable!

Lots of uses with this! I use it on my lips when dry, or to gel down my eyebrows. Recently used it around my hair line when dyeing my hair and I didn't get any paint on my skin!

I have very dry scaly skin on my face. During winter, spring summer and fall it never fails I just have very dry skin. Foundations tend to look very cakey on me for this reason. I have tried $150 moisturizers looking for something that would miraculously leave me with soft supple and smooth skin. Desperate I began looking on there for help and when I scanned the reviews for moisturizers I came across Vaseline. I had heard of using Vaseline before and had read that Marilyn Monroe's makeup artist would apply a layer of Vaseline all over her face before doing her makeup. Figuring I have absolutely nothing to lose I removed my cakey looking foundation and applied a thin layer of Vaseline all over my face making sure to really work it in to the very dry areas of my face. I waited for about 15 minutes then went to work applying a new layer of foundation on my face. When I was completed I stared at my skin in amazement. I saw NO DRYNESS on my face. None. Nada. Zilch. I admit I have not fully had a chance to see how my skin reacts or how long the affect will last however for now I am stunned at how great my skin looks. I am glowing! Not oil skin glowing but dewy and fresh. I will update later on how my skin reacts and how long the moisturizing benefits last on my face. I am so hoping I have finally found my miracle ointment!!!

Its an alright product to use before you go to bed, its really moisturizing and it helps clear chapped lips. I get reallly dry red lips over the winter and this treats it really well, it doesn't have a smell, the only down side is the thick greasy texture.

Uses : for my lips is quite good but not as good as Egyptian Magic Cream, but concerning to the price,it's quite good,

For lashes and eyebrow, quite good and that using mascara without black lump look it's good

Dry patches in face,rough skin,anything!

Use as chapstick at night and it totally softens my lips. Not the most pleasant if it gets in your mouth but careful application and its good. Also helps if you get scratches. Being clumsy I have my fair share of bumps and bruises. Moisturizes skin and prevents scarring. Best use at night as its kinda sticky.

I really love this. It's super moisturizing, and has so many uses. I personally think that it's really good if you have chapped lips. I always put some on my lips before I go to bed, and in the morning, I have super soft, and smooth lips. It's also a great eye makeup remover!

Such a wonderful and cheap dupe for moisturizer and eye cleanser! Not only moisturizes, but helps remove mascara, eye shadow, and whatever makeup you want to remove from your face gently. Also, a great chapstick on your lips and it really works. Just keep applying it when it drys, and you'll have so soft lips!

who doesn't love this stuff? a friend of mine used a moisturizer which caused an allergic reaction, making her face swollen and red, she went straight to the dermatologist who told her that the only hypoallergenic noncomedogenic skincare product is vaseline. and that it is really the only product on the market that can reliably help keep your skin moisturized.
that being said, i love this stuff. i use it as a nightly moisturizer and on my cuticles and other dry parts. its great. and now they sell an adorable mini jar at target so you can keep it in your purse!

Rumor has it that petroleum jelly is bad for you? Please tell me that's not true! I have very dry skin and I use this right after I shower while my skin is still very damp. My skin remains so moisturized and baby soft. Nothing compares to Vaseline. I have since switched to organic shea butter which also works well. But, I find that it sits on the surface of my skin. I prefer the Vaseline. One lippie off for questionable toxicity.

PROS:
1. smoothes my rough elbow and the scarred back of my foot from the shoes/heels that scratched my skin over the year.
2. elongate, curled and thicken my lash and brows! :D:D:D BIG PLUS! but have to be patient though
3. CHEAP for the big jar! only $7.50 where i live
4. you dont need to take too much

CONS:
1. SO thick you have to be careful n how much you take
2. since its in a jar, i have to use cotton buds because i dont want to stick my finger in it.

I never used Vaseline before, and have just recently discovered how great it is! I slather it on my feet, lips, elbows, knees, dry spots on my face, and even use it to remove waterproof makeup! It works wonders! The packaging isn't anything fabulous... but hey, what more can I ask for? It's only $ 3.00 for a HUGE tub!

I have an absolute OBSESSION with this product!!! would i buy again? YES YES YES!!!
So basically, we always had this around the house, for cuts, burns, and things like that. But, i was searching on youtube for tips on growing lashes, and i found a video that this lady uses vaseline every night, and her eyelashes are super long, and she saw results overnight. so, i had to try it, and have never looked back. i just bought my own huge tub of vaseline at Target for about $3.50. i put it on my eyelashes using my finger, then take whats left and put it all over my eyes. then, i take a bit more and put it on my brows. sometimes, ill take a bit, rub it between my palms, and pat it onto my face and neck. i also put some on everyday before i leave for school. i barely use any kind of chapstick anymore, except for my eos when im at school! anyway, GET THIS!! the stickiness is hard to get used to at first, but its so worth it when you wake up the next morning(:
PS-ive never had problems with breakouts with this, but i have dry-combination skin. good luck!!

I dont use Vaseline anymore and have recently switched to Burt's bees which is amazing. This is because i heard that using Vaseline too much prevents your lips from being able to make their own moisture, so like they would be really dry without using Vaseline in your normal routine.
But when i did use Vaseline, i praised it like crazy! It doesn't make my lips sticky and makes them really glossy too :) I would put it on my lips overnight and the next morning they would be SOO soft even after my first time using it! Its also really cheap, like $5 where i am? (Australia)
I did have a bit of a problem with the packaging, with the normal sized ones. I couldn't put them in my bag without the lid coming off and the vaseline would make my bag stink up! Eek! But if you got the smaller-sized ones they would have the lids that click-on, and stay on.
Again, it's a good product. But for my lips i would use products that have been specially made for the lips and only the lips.

Love love love vaseline! I use it as a face moisturizer for my dry sensitive skin. Many face moisturizers sting or leave my face too dry and vaseline is the only product that works. I apply a thin layer as a night cream. The trick is to apply to damp skin and to warm up the vaseline in your palm before applying. That way, the vaseline is easier to spread and you can use less. No clogs either! It also works well on lips and lasts! I apply one at night and for the whole day, my lips are moisturized even though there isn't a film on them. Please try it!

Vaseline is a must have beauty product! It's so versatile and inexpensive too. I have naturally dark lips, so I don't need a coloured gloss. Instead, I use Vaseline on my lips everyday. It locks in moisture all day. Two weeks ago I started applying it every night on my eyelashes and eyebrows. I already have noticed results! My eyelashes look longer and healthier. My eyebrows are thicker as well. If I have dry elbows I put it on my elbows too. Overall, this product is amazing and I will definitely continue using it for years to come.
