Putting these liners on my eye was painful.. I wouldn't recommend any of these liners for anyone.. They were very dry - i did keep the brown one for my brows though. Seems to work fine for that.. ELF has other products that are great - stay away from the liners..

Cons: Waxy, low pigmentation, smudge WAY too easily, feel too soft and creamy.

Pro: Cheap. (But not worth even $1 since I wouldn't ever use them.)

this eyeliner is decent. it glides on smoothly but it does tend to smudge after awhile, especially if your eyelids become greasy during the day. i bought the one in the charcoal color and it looks nice with my brown eyes, but it doesn't really brighten them as much as they advertise.

This eyeliner isn't too bad. It's good to line the top lash line. I usually line my top lash line & go over that with liquid eyeliner to make it extra dark.
I'd only buy it again if I really needed eyeliner & had no money.

I liked this liner very well despite the fact that I do not use it to line my eyes at all. I purchased this for $1 in coffee to outline my brows as I've seen a professional artist do on a tutorial and I fill the brow using a brush and powder. The liner is soft and kind of glides on. It wasn't smudgy at all to me but I apply sparingly because I do not like the "drawn on eyebrow" look at all. It also came with the nifty little sharpener and yes I would purchase this liner again.

This is by far the best eyeliner pencil I've ever gotten for $1. The gel formula has just the right balance of wax and oil to make the application smooth, non irritating, and remarkably long lasting given that it is so smooth and non irritating to apply. This is another one of those makeup basics that E.L.F. just got completely right. I also love how the pigmentation is actually brightening - I can actually wear darker shades of this without them making my eyes look smaller. They actually make them look a bit bigger, though not as much so as lighter colors do. This eyeliner also has lasted me all day with little smudging. Awesome deal! :)

These are really cheap for only $1. The colors are very nice and pigmented. I don't understand the reviews of them being hard and scratchy because I think they are more soft and greasy. They are ok for lining your top lid but definitely not for the bottom. They smear and smudge after a few minutes. They are really great if you are going for the smudged rocker chick look though.

I actually really like this product. Goes on smooth, able to use it on my waterline and lashline. Does smudge a bit by the end of the day but for $1 its totally worth it. Bought in a variety of colors after I tried my first one because I really like the color payoff and quality for that price.

I'm not a fan. The colors are pretty, but they go on very sticky, and goopy for my liking. Not good in a pencil liner.

this eyeliner sucks!!
i got this in gilded and hate the formula and color. It is so hard and rough on my eyes and I have no use for it now. the only good part is the sharpener it comes with

worse eyeliner ever. difficult to sharpen because it breaks easily; very rough/not smooth at all during application; terrible pigmentation.

end of story.

Ugh. Where do I begin? Its sad because almost all ELF products I tried, I've been satisfied with.. well except this one. The color payoff is nice though, I got the black one and it does come out as very black even on the waterline. The problem is it would smudge and after like 30 mins, I'd check and there would be no more liner. The first time I sharpened mine, it crumbled. I dunno if Im just unlucky and got a bad one or what. I know it is only a dollar (P129) but for the quality, I might as well just add a few bucks and get one that works.

Definitely the worst eyeliner I have ever used. I loved the low price of $1 and how there was a free sharpener included, which is the only reason I bought it instead of the Wet N Wild and NYC eyeliners of the same cost.

I got this in Midnight, which is actually more of a blueish-black than a straight up blue. This stuff was terrible. The consistency was really waxy and didn't apply smooth, plus it would cause my lashes to somehow clump together. You know how frustrating clumpy eyelashes are when you have to rush in the morning?! Even when slightly warmed, it was awful. I tossed this and bought their Eyeliner Pen instead.

now i know why its only a $1. it doesn't even work on you're waterline but it works fine on you're eye lid. i don't recommend this product to anyone at all. don't waste your dollar.

the packaging of this product is good and iis cheap but it really doesnt work at all.
I got it in pearl white to use on the waterline so brighten and widen eyes. The pencil itself is hard and doesnt glide on smoothly, because of this the colour is not noticable at all.
wouldn't buy it again, but it was worth a try because of the price. Maybe the darker colours will be more noticable.

i was quite disappointed with this product. i bought it in 'gilded' because it was so dirt cheap...unfortunately the product was ridiculouly hard and not creamy at all; the color didnt show up on my eyes and it hurt! the only place the color showed up was on my hand but what good does that do? :(

I feel bad complaining too much about a product that was only a buck, but this one is bad. Hard pencil that doesn't even spread easily when warmed. Save your pennies.

I was excited to try this out and get different eye liner colors. I got this in the ash/grey color. This eye liner pencil is very tough and hard to put it on. So this pencil just sits in my makeup draw. I mess with it on occasion but it makes your eyes hurt because you have to jab your eye with it!
