I LOVE the entire line of Tarte cheek stains. I have sensitive, very dry skin (am prone to eczema that flares up when the weather changes and mid-winter). These cheek stains sink right into my skin and blend easily. I was never a fan of cream or gel blushes prior to using this product, as I found them to be messy.

Tipsy is a beautiful peachy-pink that shows up well on my skin (I'm an Armani LSF 5 for reference). It gives me a natural looking flush of color with some warmth and looks great with several lipstick shades ranging from red to berry. This product looks far more natural than powder blush (and I'm a fan of Nars powder blushes). The product description lists Tipsy as having some white apricot shimmer. I don't find much shimmer on my skin, but then I'm more accustomed to the shimmer in Nars Orgasm. Tipsy reminds me of Orgasm minus the glittery sparkle.

The texture is moderately sticky when you first apply it, but because my skin is dry, that doesn't last long. I think the trick is to build the color and apply a little at a time. Just swipe the top of the stick lightly with your fingers, apply to your cheeks, blend, and then build the color to your liking. On me, I find that the color lasts all day.

The packaging could be a bit better, as the blush comes in a pop up tube and probably isn't the best for travel. There is a light, fruity scent, which I like.

Price-wise, at $30 USD, the Tarte blushes are the most expensive blushes that I own, but the product should last for years, even with daily use. Also, you can find good deals on ebay and sometimes on the Tarte cosmetics website as part of a promo package. I love these so much that I also purchased Flush and Blushing Bride.

This is a horrible sticky mess! It doesn't blend evenly. The color is a peachy color--it's ok but the formula is just junk! The color is easily dupable. It is like colored hard chapstick.

AVOID, AVOID, AVOID!

Tarte's cheek stains are an exciting discovery for me, especially this time of year. It's cold enough now that we've turned the heat on and so begins another season of dry, flaky skin. (sigh)
I have gobs of powder blushes that I'm ready to get rid of now. My skin gets too dry in the late fall and winter to use them without looking 10-20 years older.
I bought a mini size of Tipsy on eBay and liked it so much that I immediately bought a full size. I'm wanting to try other shades like Blissful and Natural Beauty.
Tipsy wears like a true coral shade on me, which I love. I have to be careful about colors that are too red or have a hint of coolness to them, considering my rosacea.
I have tried Stila's CCs, but I found that they looked a little muddy on me. I really like that Tarte's colors are sheer and buildable. I also have Benefit's Benetint, but it's not as easy to put on... It's also a little bit redder/cooler than I like.
Some people have complained about the cheek stains feeling too sticky. It really doesn't bother me at all. It's not like my hair sticks to it or anything. Most importantly, it does not irritate my skin! And I like the skin-friendly ingredients.
One advantage of the stickiness is this: after a apply a sheer layer of the blush, I can easily go back and correct any darker red blotches shining through from my rosacea. I just take a lip brush and dot on a little bare minerals well-rested. The stickiness holds it in place like a charm.
I've struggled with blush for a while because of my red blotchiness. And for the longest time, I didn't think I could wear blush at all. Now, I've got a product that gives me a healthy glow without looking dusty and dry. Thank you Tarte!

Heard such good things! So i had to try it out and ended up with a mini sized one. I prefer the minis though, they are easy to apply straight from the tube as opposed to the regulars. Perfect peach. Subtle, but noticeable. Definitely has replaced powdered blushes in my makeup routine for the most part. I love how you can make it as light or dark as you want! It is a little sticky, but only at first when it isn't quite dry.

I love this color! It is beautiful on my skin year round and I can really play with the intensity, lighter hand in winter months and a little heavier in summer. It pops sooooo nicely on tanned skin. Like most cheek stains, it does feel almost sticky when you first put it on but a little blot powder over it and you are good to go. It stays on all day, even on my greasy skin. HOWEVER be careful to keep this out of a hot purse, car, or bright window. I started with a mini version of this and left it too near my bedroom window in the summer... IT MELTED and the texture was never the same. But I loved this color so very much I bought the full size. One of the top two or three blushes I own.

I <3 tipsy! Its super cute on. Its easy to apply, just dab some on your cheeks and blend upwards! Its gives u a natural dewy glow, although I think for the color to really give u a really natural flushed look you would have to be a fair skin tone, but all the same it is lovely. I top this off on all of my blushes. =)

oh god, i love this color! I am the biggest fan of coral-y blushes because i looove that just worked out look (or tipsy, while we're at it LOL).
because it's a gel it automatically gives you that glow, but the color is like an awesome bonus.

I received this in a swap from a lovely MUAer but I wasn't expecting much. To my surprise, this turned out being *the* most natural looking blush I have ever owned/applied. I will definitely purchase this is other shades, one i'm particularly eyeing right now is Dollface. This shade though, is a very warm shade. It adds just the perfect amount of color to my cheeks and looks as though I had just ran around a track. This doesn't apply that evenly, but that's to my own advantage. Powder blushes give you total control of application, so it turns out being TOO even (sometimes streaky), which gives it away. However, with this, I dab a circle on the apple of my cheeks and then blend just the outter circle. That then gives me a totally natural blushing look. I am HOOKED and in LOVE! I highly highly recommend this.

About the stickiness- when I applied this on my sister it turned out being a little sticky. But when I applied this for myself it didn't. I think it's just about blending and if it you put on too much, just lightly dab over it, it should go away. :)

i love tipsy in the summertime. it gives such a warm, fresh glow and it's a dream to apply. i adore the gel-like texture of this product, it makes getting the most natural-looking flush totally easy and the only tool you need is your fingertips. this makes me want to buy up every single one of tarte's cheekstains.

Tipsy is a sweet shimmery peach with a touch of pink to keep it from being orange. I have a blush that may have melted a bit or gone bad...
It had a film on the top that was like liquid and peach colored. I wiped that off and it's still the pretty Tipsy underneath. I don't know what could have caused it... It smells fresh and feels good on skin. Edit: So that condensation of a liquid peach color was all over mine. I pushed it all the way up and it was pretty thick. Maybe these are too natural, because it was this way brand new. I never leave it in my purse or in the heat. It was that way when I first opened it.

This is my HG of all blushes. The colour is so fresh and vibrant, but entirely naturally looking. It looks great on both my fair, winter skin and equally good on my more tanned, summer skin. I love the feel of it over powder brushes, especially since my cheeks can get so, so dry, but this keeps them looking dewy and creamy.
Yes, it is pricey, but it lasts for AGES! I think it would take years to run out of the stuff.

I LOVE TIPSY!

Sidenote - I also think that the information on the back is just so sweet! I love reading it when I'm putting it on! Honestly, it makes me giddy!

Despite some flaws in the packaging, I really love this product. I first tried Tarte cheek stains a few years ago, when my co-worker included a set of 3 mini stains (Blushing Bride, Tipsy, and a clear sparkly LE color) in her Christmas gift to me. At the time, I found the products somewhat messy and didn't use them much because I was more into powder blush. However, as I'm getting closer to 30, I've noticed that my skin is considerably drier and cream or gel blushes work better and don't settle into the few fine lines that have started to develop. Additionally, this type of product (wet versus dry) delivers a "glow from within" finish that powders can't match. Tipsy is a pinky-peachy-apricot color with a very, very slight hint of shimmer and a subtle apricot scent. It comes in a plastic cylinder that reminds me of a Push Pop and has a somewhat waxy consistency similar to Body Glide (anti-chafing product used by athletes and for breaking in new shoes that rub). The container is really big (too big in my opinion, I wish it was skinnier & taller), so I just swirl a little bit on my cheeks after applying tinted moisturizer or liquid foundation, then blend, blend, blend with my fingertips before it dries (you get a good 25 seconds of blending time before it dries). I don't like using a brush with it because it can make the brush hair pretty gummy (even Taklon). I'm fair with freckles and a tone that makeup artists always describe as neutral--neither warm nor cool. Some blushes can look really muddy/dirty on my cheeks due to my freckles. This product just looks great and gives a natural glow for everyday, or works well with a strong coral lip (due to the peachyness of the stain) without competing. I just wish the container was smaller (takes up too much room in my makeup bag, so it stays home).

Before I bought this product, I was concerned that it would be too orangey or warm for my skin tone. BUT I checked the reviews and those with my coloring seemed to love it, so I splurged.
When I first tried this product, I was concerned that it was too sheerly pigmented to show up on my fair, naturally neutral (but rosy) cheeks. I had tried the tarte stain in the new "Perfect Whirled" color, and it was almost exactly the natural color of my cheeks with shimmer. Totally not worth the price. It took a few swipes of Tipsy to get the color to show up... BUT after a few wearings, I have decided that the color looks PERFECTLY NATURAL on my skin, just enough to show up and look like it belongs there.
If I want a natural daytime look, I go with Tipsy. If I'm looking for a little more pigment, rosiness, or sass, I go with tarte's stain in Blissful. Honestly, I can't lose!

Goodbye powder blush hello Tarte. I cannot believe the beautiful effect this gives to the skin. I'm an NC15 and finally I have that snow white look to my cheeks. I swatched all of them at the counter and this was perfection. Had it not been for the recs on this board I'd still be walking around with chalky pink cheeks. Thanks MUA!!!

I love the Tarte cheek stains. I was not sure about trying Tipsy because I tend to use the red colors and thought it might be too orangey/peachy but I decided to try a small size ebay bargain after seeing so many others here who raved about it. I have to say- Tipsy is beautiful! - a nice natural, dewey, soft look. It is pricey, but can be found on ebay for a very nice price and since even the small tube lasts for so long you can happily purchase one and not break the bank. I will say that after seeing many posts, it seems that there are many ways to apply the Tarte so if you try one way and it doesn't work so well, try another method, rather than tossing it aside. I think what works for you depends on skin type and foundations you put it over. I like to dab the tube directly on my skin and finger blend, but others use a sponge or fingertips to apply. I found a little stickiness, but that lasts just long enough to blend well and then goes away. I also like the Blushing Bride and Flush tints but Tipsy is the one I reach for most days.

Gel is my fav type of blush bc it gives this "glow from with in" which powders are incapable of. It gives this "I'm just naturally beautiful & lucky to not have to wear make-up" effect. Tipsy looks almost orange in the tube but when applied its a very nice pinkish peach like Nars Orgasm. Also, the texture glistens & gleams but has not one speck of glitter. It's a beautiful color for my nw20 complexion. Although it appears to be a lot of product I have a feeling this will be my go-to blush & will last quite a while. I especially like to wear this in the colder months (it makes my skin look fresh and supple). I also feel that these blushes can be layered for a brighter effect. I love to blend this with my Mac 188 brush.

Note: I chose this over blushing bride and a few others bc they were either too muave, purple-ish, or orangy red

Also, When I first opened it -I had to rub it on a napkin a few times bc there was like a shell.

This blush is the gel equivalent to NARS Orgasm. The only two differences is that instead of the peachy golden sheen that NARS leaves behind, this leaves a white dewey shimmer (very pretty) and instead of being coral based like NARS....Tipsy is pink (and it smells like strawberries!!) I am wearing it today...and love it! Two thumbs up - even it if does cost $28 per tube!

Adore this. Am 39-yr. old PPP, and this is a perfect blush for me. I'm a fan of Nars Orgasm (which I could get around by subbing Milani Luminous!), Benefit Posietint, and some of the gel blushes L'Oreal used to make--the Translucides. This Tarte shade is universally flattering, and while expensive, could replace many of the above blushes for me. It has the most marvelous, fresh peach scent too. Really special, and should last a long time. Highly recommend!
