I like to think of this as "glow in a pan". I am an Asian NC25-30, and I usually prefer a more matte kind of texture to my skin. This doesn't make me look shiny or greasy at all - I lightly buff it into the tops of my cheekbones, swipe down the bridge of my nose, a little on the chin and eyelids, and finally lightly over the forehead. It's pretty much fleshtoned on me, so it's not obvious (and I don't really use it to highlight, more to add a soft-focus sheen) and it's just so darned pretty.

I originally bought Glissade before getting this, and I didn't really understand the hype behind the MSFs - sure, it made a pretty, sparkly and kinda flushed looking blush, but it's just... a pretty blush color. THIS, this is a miracle. I get that preternaturally angelic glow from this, kind of like a halo. I feel like I should be accompanied by a chorus of singing angels when I'm walking around.

HG HIGHLIGHTER! I love this product so very much, that I will be sad when I run out. For my NW20 skin this is the perfect highlighter, especially when I'm contouring or using a bronzer. It gives my skin such a perfect glow that I routinely get compliments. Never breaks me out, and depending on how saucy I feel, I can layer it to get a really shimmery look. DEFINATELY going to repurchase if they re-release this again.

Very pretty, but I have to be sure and use a light hand with this, otherwise I look too shiny (combo skin, slightly sensitive, some pore issues around nose). Sometimes over my blush but sometimes under, I generally use a 187 to apply...works fabulous as an eyeshadow too! UPDATE: I got rid of it--decided even with a light hand, I looked way too shiny...was still really pretty as an eye shadow but on the face, well, not so pretty...sigh

Beautiful MSF! I actually use this as a bronzer/highlighter on my cheeks when I want a natural, dewy finish. Shimmery, but not sparkly, this champagne-beige MSF is probably best suited/most noticeable on those with lighter skin tones. I am a C2/NC20 and it is just beautiful on me! I highly recommend grabbing one of these up before it's gone!

This matches my skintone so it doesn't function as a highlighter. I don't dislike it, however, because it does look amazing when the light catches it, creating a perfect sheen, glowing, definitely not glittery.

I LOVE shimpagne! I have tried several MSF's and this is by far my fav shade for me. I am a NW15 with brown hair green eyes and it really pops up nicely on my face. It adds color but its not to much but not to sheer either. I would highly recommend this!

LOVE this MSF!!!! It is a nice beige-ish gold that looks great layered over blush or used to highlight the cheekbones/browbone. It is so pretty, and I think it would be flattering on just about anyone!

nice light champagney color. pretty to look at. I was trying to choose between this and shooting star- picked this cuz i was thinking i would use it like a bronzer and since ss looked way too dark i went with this. however it was so light that it didnt really show up on me and so i swapped it and picked up ss.

EDIT: Turns out, MSFs exacerbate any blemishes I might have on my face. I'm not sure why, but they do. Also, I found a better highlighter recently, so I don't really use this one anymore.

I'm in love with this beautiful highlighter! The powder looks like a bronzing powder or something, but don't be fooled! It gives a beautiful shimmer, but you have to make sure not to use too much or you'll look like a disco ball! This product will last for years and years I think!

I finally got my hands on this through a wonderful swap with a wonderful MUAer! I'd always been wondering what all the hype's about this msf thingie! Well, i must say i really like it! It leaves a shimmery coppery look on my cheeks(i use it as a blush) that looks so beautiful and glamourous! Now I'm lemming to get the rest of the msfs to try too!

I bought this and returned it because it did not work for me. It just didn't do anything for me. I hear many people saying it creates that glowy look, and it does for some, but for me it was too shimmery. I prefer something less shimmery for a highlighter. A bronzer with some shimmer is more preferable for me :)

Shimpagne is a great highlighter for my NW20 skin. I use it just about every day swept lightly across my cheekbones. I have very oily skin though and have to be careful not to overdo it or I just look like a big greaseball. Another great use for Shimpagne is as a brow highlighter or eyeshadow. When used as a shadow it is a shimmery, slightly sparkly bronzy color. I don't anticipate needing to repurchase this product anytime in the near future - even though I use it regularly I haven't even made a dent in the product. Good thing because it's Limited Edition! EDIT 6/4/07: I've noticed this seems to accentuate my pores. Not loving it like I once did.

Shimpagne simply does not work on me. The color does compliment my NC20-25 skin, but the product itself is insanely frosty and intensifies my pores and fine lines. Rarely does my DH make a double take at my MU and only does so when it looks bad, so when I sensed him checking my cheeks out while we were in the sunlight, I *knew* that this product wasn't flattering on me.

Shimpagne was rereleased in A Muse Collection. All this while, I always wondering why people are so raving about it, until I bought it and try.. I was like OMG!!! this is sooooo pureeefect highligter I even tried! It is light gold shimmer + lil bit peachy. I think it is suitable for most skintone (I am MMM).I love it so much!

*I love this* Its the perfect color for my NC15 skin. Its not too dark and not too light. It gives a *beautiful* glow and really adds the right amound of color to my face. I really notice a difference. People ask me what I wear that makes my skin look so nice & glowy. A huge hit.

OK.... this was my first MSF , I bought with its re-release from A Muse collection and I *LOVE* it..... I wasn't sure about ordering this because of the mixed reviews but it is gorgeous. I am NC20 and this is the most beautiful champagne highlighter.... I use it over blushes and as an eyeshadow, + to highlight brow bone and it provides such a pretty glowy look. No problem at all with it looking greasy, but I am dry-skin prone and this gives a natural healthy look with shimmer....not glittery at all just beautiful shimmer. I also think that its a great deal price wise since you get so much.....this should last a LONG time but if it ever releases again I will def. be getting a backup.

Well I'm sort of new to the MAC fascination so I bought this as a repromote.

My first Mineralize SkinFinish and I must say I love this shade. I have combination skin and I use Everyday Minerals Foundation. I have been using this everyday since I purchased it. I love it as a highlight over my blush and as a highlight underneath my brow. Sometimes I just brush it lightly over my cheeks nose and forehead and it gives me such a nice dewy glow. I have now purchased Petticoat, Porcelain Pink and am waiting on Shooting Star. I'm on the fence about Petticoat and Porcelain Pink as I am a warm shade person and feel like pink is not very complimentary to my skin tone. I however had no such misgivings with this product "Love at First Sight".

This is the only MSF that I own. I guess I was a "virgin" until I recently bought Shimpagne from the A Muse collection. I think I fell in love with the color, actually. :o)I have combination-sensitive skin, and it has been very hot and humid lately... but I have not had any problems with this "sitting on my face like bacon grease," or any other similar situations that previous reviewers have described. I find this to be a good highlighter for me (NC25/NC30), and I like to use my skunk brush and dust a little Shimpagne over my blush (on the top of my cheekbones), down the top of my nose, on the sides of my nose, and a bit on the forehead. I am a little self-conscious about this accentuating any large pores I have between my nose and my cheeks, but so far, haven't actually realized it was that bad to call a problem. I think the key to this one is applying it with a light hand. This has definitely given me a subtle yet noticeable glow since I have been using this. I also used it on my eyes a few times and it gave them a nice glow, too.Bottom line: I like MAC's MSF much better than Laura Merciers Pink Mosaic Shimmer Bloc-thing that I wasted my money on earlier this year. That thing cost about twice as much, and no matter what part of my face or eyes I applied it to, it did NADA for me.EDIT again 8/12/06:I have been using this every day, and I find it especially looks gorgeous when used over eyeshadow! I love this MSF so much, I went back to MAC and bought myself a back-up! I can't say enough good things about Shimpagne! Right now, this is one of my favorite and most versatile make-up items! Raves, raves, raves! :o)
