I still get the occasional break out especially if I try a new product my skin doesn't like. This product didn't work very well and left me with dry patches where it was applied. I think my skin responds better to salicylic acid.

I'm on the fence about this product. I still use it just to get rid of what's left in the squeeze out tube. This product is extremely drying for me, and I'm not sure if it really works for acne prevention and treatment at all. My Neutrogena On The Spot delivers much more effectively, and without half the drying effects, as this.

What more can be said? This is a fantastic product. I was so afraid for years to use a BP product b/c of all the horror stories of dryness, rashes and puffy eyes. But, this product hasn't done none of that to my skin. It has helped to clear my skin of break outs all for only $4.

I have been suffering from adult acne for the past year. I have never had acne before in my life. I started using the skin logics gold line from beauticontrol and it made my skin much worse! This product along with Cetaphil gentle skin cleanser have started clearing up my skin within a week and also making my skin tone more balanced. The only downfall to this product is that it is very drying around my mouth and chin area. I have never had a problem with dry skin before so be careful. I started off using it day and night but now I've gone down to using it every other day. It is still a fast miracle worker for me. I only use it as a spot treatment and not all over.

i love this product! i've been battling with acne for a while now and didnt know how to stop it. I have acne around my forehead, cheeks, nose, and chin. I had heard good reviews on this product and tired it out. After a month the acne around my nose, cheeks, forehead minimized to tiny bumps. It didnt dry my skin out like other spot treatments would and i love it! i definitely recommend this product for everyone

Great stuff - very effective for most types of breakouts I get, I usually apply this stuff as a spot treatment (and I recommend you do as well, as 10% benzoyl peroxide - no matter which brand - may damage your skin with ongoing use: oxidation damage, dryness, flaking, other kinds of contact dermatitis, etc) during the first day/night when a pimple develops, and 90% of the time this stuff keeps the pimple from getting any bigger, and usually eliminates it completely by the 2nd/3rd day. Works a bit slower on existing inflammation and cystic acne. ZapZyt doesn't exist in Canada, unfortunately, and I either have to get it on EBay or get it on my trips down to Seattle.
With all that said, if you want to apply a benzoyl peroxide product all over your face daily to prevent breakouts, you should consider applying a 2.5% strength product instead of this one, being the maximum strength. I was a little horrified to read some of the posts on here from people who put this stuff all over their face on a nightly basis. Even if you can't see any immediate adverse reaction, there is a possibility that your skin may react to it differently in the long run. As well, I have heard that a 2.5% BP product is just as effective as a 10% one, with the exception of being more skin friendly, I'm in the process of testing this out still, and will update my review later.

I was very sceptical to purchase this product, I've triend a lot of products that claim to work but don't.
I finally gave in a bought it and I am SO glad!
I put a dab on my pimples before I go to sleep and when I wake up it's either gone or close to it.
I would DEFINATLEY buy this again! It was affordable too! $4.99!
The packaging is nice too, so simple and original, I just love it!

it definitely works for me. I use to have really really REALLY serious acne problems, after I read the book "Acne Cure" by By Terry J. Dubrow, Brenda D. Adderly, I pick out these products from the recommendations from the book and I am very happy with the results. It makes the zit/pimple smaller and smaller as you apply every night, it really improved my skin a lot, but in winter time, it's probably better to apply every other day so it does not over dry your skin, and I usually apply only at the area where I break out, not the whole face.

I'm one of those girls who will breakout no matter what cleanser or other face product I use. I had been using Target's brand of facial wipes to remove my face makeup at the end of the day. My skin began to break out after using the wipes for about a week. A good portion of the left side of my face had cystic acne and my cleansers did nothing to make them go away. I had heard good things about Zapzyt so I went ahead and bought it.
After using it for a couple of days, I noticed that my face started to look better. My sister even commented that the bumps were starting to disappear. The directions say to use this 1-3 times everyday. I used it 1-2 times daily. However, I noticed that my skin was getting dry around my nose, my mouth, my cheeks, between my eyebrows, and my chin. Heck, I was dry pretty much all over my face. I had to stop using the Zapzyt and apply loads of moisturizer to make the dryness go away.
Overall, I think this product works but I would only use it as a spot treatment. Otherwise, your face will become dry.

I'm actually reviewing PanOXYl acne treatment gel with 10% benzoyl peroxide. I bought this together with the cream face wash, also with 10% benzoyl peroxide. This has cleared up my inflammatory acne completely. My face is so smooth, and it hasn't been in many, many months. I'm used to the odd blackhead as my skin is acne-prone anyway, but in the last few months a breakout like you wouldn't believe. Huge, cystic, painful pimples all over my face that wouldn't got away. I was so frustrated and my confidence took quite a knocking down. Well, since starting on PanOXYl, my skin is absolutely clear. I hope that my acne scars will go away with time too, since my skin generally heals very well.

Perfect spot treatment, or all over face treatment for acne. Every once in a while, I'll get a big whitehead, usually on my jawline, and just put this on it at night and I wake up zit-free. Just like that. Sometimes I put it on all over my face overnight and my skin is dramatically clearer. It gets rid of blackheads and whiteheads both. I like to put some Extra Virgin Olive Oil on my face in the morning after, and my skin feels glorious! As far as I know, you can only get this at Walmart. I was at a different grocery store recently and picked up a different brand of 10% Benzoyl Peroxide Acne Gel, it looked basically the same as Zapzyt with the same ingredients, but for some reason it just didn't work as well. Didn't "get" into my skin like Zapzyt does. I won't stray away again. :^)

This is the best spot treatment on the market, and trust me, I know because I have tried nearly all of them. Obviously if you are allergic to benzoyl peroxide, don't try this treatment. I can only use benzoyl peroxide because I am allergic to salicylic acid and this does its job. I think when it comes to acne treatments, we tend to have unrealistic expectations (yes, I am guilty of this) and want the product to work immediately, with over night results. This won't completely do it's job in one night, but it's the fastest drugstore spot treatment I've found. This does work well in two or three days for existing pimples, but it is more effective when you apply it BEFORE the pimple completely emerges. I don't use this on my whole face, just on pimples that are there. I have super oily skin, and this doesn't dry me out or even make me flake. Pimples are gone in a couple of days and clear skin ensues! Yes!

I was shocked that this product works since it has such a cheap price. It works great for me! My skin is oily and this does not dry me out but I also use a moisturizer over it. I have been using it for approximately 2 weeks and, so far, I have had great results. If he results continue, I will continue to use and repurchase.

I'm in LOVE with this product. From when I was really young, I used to cover my head with cans of hairspray and it resulted in tiny flesh colored bumps on my forehead and I never could get rid of them. I went to a dermatologist who said that I had to live with them forever, but he was so wrong!!! After hearing good things about this product, I decided to try it out and my bumps are completely gone. My SO was amazed!!! I cannot live without this product.

Yes, this gets rid of pimples fast...it dries them suckas up not too mention my skin. When I wake up my skin is clear but also it left my skin dry, flakey and itchy. I'm not allergic to benzoyl peroxide but there is something in this product that makes my skin itchy, red, and causes my face to flare up! I exchanged this for another brand of 10% benzoyl peroxide (Acnefree) and it didn't cause me to flare up and didn't leave my skin dry and flakey like zapzyt did....

By far the best acne spot treatment I've used. Effective without drying out my skin, which is surprising since it's got such high BP. I would highly recommend it!

Be prepared for shorter-lived zits. This gel dries up my zits overnight, and the big ones are gone in a few days. The trick to getting good results is starting off by using a very small amount - maybe the size of a pea for your whole face - and then working your way up. I have sensitive, dry/oily skin and this method only dries me out occasionally. If you use a lot the first time, you will probably get very red and irritated!
At night I cover my blemishes with this, and then, after it dries, a thin layer of neosporin. I use St. Ives Apricot Scrub in the morning. My skin looks fabulous :)

I used to use this in the early 90's and it cleared away my acne so fast. It was like nothing I'd ever used. Then, I purchased a tube some where around '98 and ended up with the worst reaction to it. My face started itching like crazy...eyelids and all! They must have reformulated it or something because I'm allergic now. It must be the benzoyl peroxide. Just way too harsh.
