I actually tried this before the rapid clear pads, which I love. I caved in after I saw an ad in a magazine (I know, tsk tsk for me). It doesn't do much to reduce redness/size in my acne. But I like it because it has the ability to bring cysts to a head much faster than usual, and then I can extract them (I know, ew). Sometimes cysts on my face would get huge, and stay there for a month. And I would patiently wait for them all to come to a head and none of them would. They'd just slowly flatten out and scar, and then a couple months later the cysts would reappear in the exact same spots. Talk about ANNOYING! Well, this acne gel solves my problem. Damn I hate cystic acne.

My Dr. advised this for the blackheads on my nose, it worked wonders and the blackheads have never came back, I just use nightly after my facial cleaner. i use a lotion afterwards and this gets rid of the light smell. I also get a pimple or two around that time of month and this makes it go away with in 2 days or less.
I like another user wished it had a flip top instead of screw off lid. A little really does go a long way.

My skin is very dry and sensitive, and this irritated it way too much. I'll stick to Neutrogena's Stress line.
Didn't work for me, but may work for others. I just use toothpaste as a spot treatment overnight.

My skin became immune to it and now it actually breaks me out. I'm just using it to finish it up. The newer Fight-and-Fade version of this is way better.

It smells like bug spray. Whenever I put it on, my guy friend would always comment on the smell, even when he was several feet away from me. As several other people said, after a few days use my skin seemed to get immunity to it.

I agree with the last reviewer. It did work well, but then my skin became immune and it stopped working. Oh, well. I will stick with Neutrogena's Oil Free Acne Wash Scrub. It's the best acne wash I have found so far.

It does work but after a few days of seeing results your skin gets immune to it or something and it stops working. It does make the pimples smaller. I use it off and on.

WOW! I absolutely love this product-the best thing I have ever bought for my face. The tube of gel is small but a little of the product goes a long way. The gel doesn't eliminate pimples in 8 hours as some people would think...it actually reduces the redness and helps to minimise it. I wear makeup every day and wash my face twice day. I would always have certain areas which had pesky pimples popping up time and time again. Now these areas are practically spotless since using the gel. I even put it on areas where there are no pimples but I am likely to get pimples in, such as my T-zone or my chin and the gel is my security against bacteria and helps to stop pimples from coming back. I put it on 1-2 times per day every day, and have seen positive results.

This is my new secret weapon. I am infatuated with this product. I wear makeup every day and I wash my face morning and night. I tend to get hormonal breakouts all along my chin area. Disgusting, makes you want to barf, trust me I know. I bought this products because it claims that in just 8 hours it visibly reduces the look, redness and size of your pimples. So to all you idiots, yes IDIOTS who arent reading the packaging correctly and think this is supposed to make you pimple free in 8 hours, you need to re-read the packaging and give this product another chance before you slam it with a bad review. I put this on before bed and it dissolves right in. I wake up in the morning and that screamer of a zit is half its size, way less red, and no longer painful. Which is wonderful because then I rewash my face, apply it to the affected area again and put my makeup on over it. By the end of the day its half the already reduced size and I wash my face for bed and put it on again. I have NEVER had a pimple this wouldn't kill in as little as 2 1/2 - 3 days with visible results each time I use it. I only see this not working if you pick the pimple or it pops. Then you aren't treating it correctly anymore, you are putting salicylic acid on a wound and of course it will take longer to heal. This product really is worth your time and money. It really does work. Remember the key is in reading the packaging and judging it by what it claims to do. And it does indeed do what it claims.

Doesn't help reduce pimples at all for me, let alone in 8 hours, and it dried out my skin so much. Digusting.

Not a fan of the packaging of this product, makes it hard to apply, you have to put in your finger and apply it that way. It doesn't get rid of a pimple in 8 hours, but you do see some results. I've had a pimple for 3 days now and have been treating it with this and it's still there. And it takes me ages to heal the pimple stain afterwards. I wouldn't buy this again.

Would personally prefer a flip top for this instead of screw on and off. Product is good, but it took about 2 days to get rid of any pinple, reguardless of size, even though it claims 8 hour rapid clear. Don't really care for the smell and the price is a but high for mediocre acne gel, but since they discontinued the product i used to use, i will keep buying it until i find something better for the price!

Does the job of bringing out the infection and drying it out. I don't get overnight results, but by the second day you can see it. It smells like soap which is a major plus, can't use a product that smells horrible. I think it deserves a higher rating overall!

Really good acne fighting gel! One of the best I've used. Less harsh than all those Benzoyl Peroxide creams which dry your skin out like crazy. I put this on before I go to bed to problem areas and does what it says! Smaller, less red, and overall a better skin condition. It does sting, but I tend to like that in acne gels, its like its killing all the bacteria or something gorgeous like that. '
Soaks into the skin pretty well and with a moisturizer on top, doesn't dry out the skin too badly. It tends to come out of the packaging pretty fast when your first buy it so be careful to not use too much. A dot on the fingertip is enough for one spot.
I'd recommend it for people with mild to moderate acne, and even those with harsher acne if they care more about gradually treating their skin over killing all the acne fast and damaging your skin's condition in the process.

Well i hardly get any pimples but when i do i just use this and it really does work, to my surprise every other brands doesn't really work it just sits there but this one it actually stings a little bit and i think that's when you know it's working!! the spot goes down in the morning if you put it on before bed, nothing bad has happened to my face yet !! so give it a try!
ps. Tip: i found that when when i do get a pimple and i use the gel it always rubs off on my pillows so what i do is get a very small plaster ( smallest you can find) and put the spot gel on your pimple and then the plaster on top to kind of soak it in there and in the morning it's dried up completely you might look abit strange with plaster on your face but hey, you're going to bed! doesnt matter!

I'm surprised at the low score on this one. I don't have much acne but I liked the creaminess of this product and that it doesn't dry out my skin.

It was good at eliminating small pimples, but for big pimples...nope! The treatment also has a unpleasant smell. Will not repurchase.

to me, this product is really just mediocre. it didn't work to reduce blemishes within 8 hours as promised. i was somewhat disappointed. i have had acne prone skin for years and was hoping to find a product that would really spot treat and work overnight. i find that after applying this product over a few nights the pimple does diminish but that's probably because it eventually goes away anyway? hah. for the cost though, it's definitely worth a try, it might just work. i probably wouldn't repurchase this item again.

This product has worked very well for me in the past. I think the fact that I've used it so much has caused my skin to become used to it, so it does not do much for me anymore. When I first started using it, however, it was a miracle of a product! Pimple size and redness definitely reduced overnight. It is definitely a nice gel. I would not recommend wearing it under your makeup as it tends to make the area you apply it to greasy after a while. Thus is why I wear it to bed. I would definitely buy it again if my skin hadn't formed an immunity against it.
