don't find it any good if you dont have skin breakout. but it does function amazingly to reduce the redness and tension of the skin! I've tried sample, i think I'll purchase it nexttime.

This is my HG mask!

I have eczema and my skin is really, really dry and sensitive. I have tried other brands and the masks always stings when I use it on my extremely sensitve skin. With Avene's instant soothing mask, my skin calms down instantly and is left comfortable and moisturized.

This mask is the only mask that works for me and I highly recommend it for anyone with dry and sensitive skin. However, if you have oily/combination skin, it's probably too rich for you.

At half the price of more expensive masks, this product is a bargain.

This product is every bit as good as the "high end" gel masks, e.g. Chanel etc. Like the other readers, Canadian winters are hard on my face, even worse with Retin A. I cleanse, then use a small amount while relaxing in the tub and allow it to do its work. If my skin is particulary dry, I will mix with moisturizer half and half and leave this on all night. I can't use this in the summer as I miraculously turn oily, but it's a lifesaver in the winter. Avene is generous with samples, so try this out first. EDIT I used this after a chemical peel and it really soothed the burn.

This is the BEST soothing and moisturizing mask I've ever use!
The first tube I bought is during winter time, which is my skin is very dry and feel dehydrated.

When I apply this mask and I'm surprsing that it's like a thick cream more than a mask.
Once the creamy mask sinks into my skin(normally take within minute), my face is naturally GLOWING and radiance!Love it
and of coz my face is so smooth, soft, hydrated during the winter time.

Now I'm using my second tube beccause of my sudden redness and allergy, after just 3 to 4 nights of continuos use, my face is FULLY RECOVER!

This mask is the BEST because you don't need to RINSE it off!!
Just apply and wait 5- 10 mins and then SPRAY Evian thermal water or Avene thermal water, and just lightly pat you face, you will feel so relaxing and soft of your skin. I can't tell you how good this mask is, just by words! You have to try it to see the dramatical difference!

Price: $28 - $30 in Canada drugstores, it's not expensive because you really need just a small amount, just like how you apply your moisturizer!Last over 5 to 6 months at least, if you use only once or twice a week!

This mask is probably unimpressive for people with "normal" skin or whatever skintype that tolerates most of the offered skincare-products from _any_ company. But for very sensitive types or people just suffernig from an acute allergy it is a real life-saver. I'd recommend it for those with constant sensitive skin or for acute problem situations.

One of the best moisture mask I've used, made my skin smooth after each application and hydrates my dry cheeks very well. After 15 minutes of application, can see that most of the mask has absorbed into my skin and I finish it off with a spritz of the thermal water and tissue off. Superb!!

i live in canada and the winters are very drying on the skin. i have very sensitive dry skin and during the winters, i use this as a moisturizer instead of a mask. very good...ive been using it for almost 6 months now, but summer is coming and i think it's starting to get a little thick for daily moisturizing use because ive been breaking out lately.

This mask is great for my dry cheeks which I use once a week. It leaves me a little glow since I use some drying acne products. Although it could cause breakouts, I'm not sure if it has yet since I only keep it on for 10 minutes.

This is an OK but unimpressive mask. I have a combo/sensitive skin that tends to dehydrate during cold weather. This mask is really creamy and, by the time you have to wipe it off or rinse, as you prefer (in my case, I gently wipe it off with a damp cloth), it has almost sank into my skin. It leaves your skin moisturized (no breakouts in my case after using it) and it may do something to soothe minor sensitive/red patches, but there are probably better masks out there. I like this to use this product though precisely because I prefer it to more emollient masks that may cause breakouts and because I like Avene products in general (as they are specifically designed for sensitive skin and have good ingredients).

HG! This calmed my irritated/sensitive skin caused by the Canadian winter + stress + not enough sleep~ it didn't work right away but my face got better and better in days~ but i find it a bit thick and doesn't sink in very well or fast enough~

This is great for dry skin. Whenever I have dry patches on my cheek area, I slather this stuff on after a shower and wait for it to sink in. Sometimes I leave it on for more than the 10-15 mins recommended and it really puts the moisture back into my skin. I use it about 3-4 times a week and it makes my skin feel great. I have slight rosacea on my cheeks and it seems to calm the inflammation down.

This is a skin saver!!~ because i mis used ahas and exfoliator (NEVER use ahas with an exfoliator. GENTLE exfoliatorr would be recommended.) i totally took off layer by layer of my skin and it was red, irritated, dry and flaky!! I put this on at night and leave it on until morning. My skin just drinks it up. in the morning all the my skin looks sooo calm and healthy. If you are worried about it causing zits, well it didn't cause me to break out. It didn't help with existing ones but it aint no zit cream so~ it gives the right amount of moisture your skin needs. a little pricey.. but it's worth it. it probs will last a while. since you only need it once a week!

This is my 2nd tube! My only complaint is that I'm not a huge fan of the fragrance, and would prefer fragrance free, which is ideal for my intolerant, eczema, ultra dry skin. Now that the winter is here in full effect, I use this nearly every day! I slather the mask on, wait a full 15-20 min. and then spray my face with the theraml Avene water. Then, I lightly tissue the excess off and mositurize. It actually solves my skin issues for the day! Without using this stuff, I have a really hard time using makeup as my skin has a tendency to flake and absorb any tinted cover-up (especially under my eyes) which looks horrible. The mask takes care of this and I can get through the day with a fresh, dewey glow! A bit pricey- $18 for a 1.69 oz. tube, but worth the $$ because it does actually work! Will continuue to repurchase this HG product!

I was suffering from irritated reddish skin because of Olay's total effects so I had to find something to calm down my skin.

I used it daily for 1 week, and it really calmed down my skin even after just 1 use. Moreover, my skin became softer and hydrated.

I now use it once a week to hydrate my skin, since I am not a big fan of moisturizers.
