i don't really have acne, but i had a cpl pimples on my chin area and after a week of using this stuff it disappeared! i love the tingly feeling & the scent isn't bad either. i just wish it came in a pump form. i would definitely buy this again!

I love this mask/scrub. I put it on every other day and then take a bath and wash it off. It incidentally also removes eye makeup, including waterproof mascara, but they probably don't recommend it for that. Makes me happy though since it is one less product in the tub. I rarely get pimples when I use this stuff-- it is magic. I used Origins Get Down before this, but I like this just as well and it's half the price. The only thing I wish they'd change is put it in a tube instead of a tub so it doesn't get under my nails. Great stuff! Worth every cent!

I love this scrub! I wasn't sure if I'd be able to use anything with salicylic acid in it because of my oral allergy to aspirin, but I've had no facial hives or rashes from this product after using it for 3 nights. Yay! After only 3 days of use, my skin is softer and smoother than it's been in years. I have ultra sensitive skin that reacts negatively to numerous skincare products and I haven't experienced any irritation from this whatsoever. Too soon to tell if it will eliminate/reduce the mild skin breakouts I've been having since going off the Pill last month. I'll post an update after I've used it for a few weeks. So far, so good! :)

I got this on clearance at Target and I'm very happy I did. I love this stuff. This feels great on my skin. I love how gentle the scrub is. My face feels refresh and tingly, will buy again.

Found this on a clearance shelf at Target for $3.00. Neutrogena products have always been good, in my experience.So, I thought I'd try it out. I noticed a difference the first time I used it! My face glowed and felt tingly and felt soft and smooth. After cleansing, I use an astringent, and when I used this my face felt so clean, like I already used astringent.
This is one of the best masks I've tried! Very happy with this one!


Edited to add: I've been using this every other day, and my skin is looking great!
I use this in the morning, and it helps keep the "oilies" away, another positive about this product!

Update: I still like this product, but wanted to advise MUA'ers that this stuff is bad news for your drains!
I'll usually use this in the morning, then rinse it off in the shower. The little blue beads do not dissolve, they stick in the drain, and after time build up and cause a clog.

I like this scrub/mask. It was not too harsh but did make my skin very tingly. In fact it was still a bit red after I washed it off, but it wasn't uncomfortable. I have been using this every other day for the past two weeks and I notice clearer skin and pores.

This is a great product. Its more of a scrub than a mask as it doesn't dry in 60 seconds, at least not on my face. I have combo, over 35 year old skin and it makes my skin feel smooth, but not too tight. I've been using it every other day and it gives my complexion a boost I've really noticed. I look forward to using it and have recommended it to friends.

I got this due to the reviews on MUA. I have mild acne/sensitive skin. I got this at Savons for buy one get one free. Plus both tubs came with their moistershine lipgloss! So I got it for freaking cheap!! Right before i bought this product, my face was in the clear stage with maybe two pimples. When I started to use this, i got more pimples than usual especially on the chin/jawline and temple area, then as the days went by, it started to clear up alittle (but i still have more pimples *sigh*). I have to admit, it does clear my pimples quickly, i love the fresh feel after i wash my face with cold water, and my face feels pretty tight after. However, it feels tooo tight to the point where some parts of my face gets dry. So i always wash my facce with cetaphil cleanser to moisturize/soften my face. I'm still contemplating on this product and i find myself looking for another acne product, so i'll give it some time and if it doesn't clear up my face then i'll have to buy another product.

This product isn't everything I was hoping after reading the MUA reviews, but it is still pretty good. My biggest complaint is that its scrubbing properties are not scrubby enough. I use a separate exfoliator before I use this. Using an exfoliating scrub first makes this product much more effective. But this method might be too harsh for most people. My skin is VERY oily and acne prone. This product seems to help with the everyday acne (acne vulgaris), and it even seems to speed healing of the nodular/cystic acne I also suffer from. I really don't want to seek treatment with Accutane a fourth time, so I am trying everything I can.

it's alright.. nothing too great! It feels and smells good, but I think it's breaking me out more. I bought this because of the really good reviews, and because there were more than usual pimples on my face. Since I started using it, I have more! It's really sad.. I'm disappointed, seriously, because I thought it was a really good idea. Or maybe it's because my face doesn't really do well with scrubs? I dont know...

I bought this because of the great reviews I read here and I am glad that I did. I don't get pimples regularly, but I do like to keep my pores clean. This is a nice mask/scrub and it helps to eliminate any blackheads that I may have. I only use maybe once (sometimes twice) a week and I tend to leave it on much longer than 60 seconds. (Psychologically, I am unable to see a product working in as little as 60 seconds.) When it dries, I just apply water and scrub. I like that the exfoliating beads are gentle enough not to tear the skin. I tend to prefer unscented skin care, but this has a really nice, fresh smell. The packaging is good, in that it is a big tub that will allow me to get to every last bit of product. I will probably re-purhcase this product. UPDATE: 10/2005, I won't be re-purchasing this product. I simply don't use it anymore. I don't find that it is a necessary product to add to my regimen. And, I have become sensitive to BHA's, so this can irritate me a little.

I bought this about a month ago after reading the reviews about it here. I wanted to try something that was inexpensive and could try it out asap (bought it at local mega-conglomerate discount store). Here's some background and results in a nutshell:
I am in mid-20s; never had continuous acne till about a year ago (even though lifestyle hasn't changed); facial skin is pretty much combo; acne is along jawline cheek areas.
Results: After using for about a month, I still have acne problems. I do think, however, that this product has quelled the beast a bit. I can't be sure too much, because I started using it around that time of the month, and it'd clear up a bit, but now, nearing that oh so not special time again, I'm having some flare-up red domes of evil that have remained the same size and ugliness for the pase two days.
So, I am still going to use it; it's about 6$ I think, and it is worth the try, so I'm recommending it.
Cons: Little blue scrubbing beads can be irritating to a sore pimple-spot and it takes me awhile to wash it off.
It has fragrance and can be a tad strong to sensitive people. (Why do they add fragrance in a treatment product!??!)
Pros: Cheap; you don't have to use very much.
Btw, Rinsing with cool water instead of warm makes skin feel more cool/refreshed and medicated (like noxema-ish maybe?).

this is a neutrogena product that i actually love and will continue to repurchase over and over. the scrub was a little different than i expected, its white and creamy (reminds me of their Clear pore cleanser/mask) and then it has blue, round beads. the exfolation is very nice, not too harsh but not too wimpy of a scrub either. its refreshing and does a great job cleansing pores. i agree with the other reveiwers it is a little drying for everyday use but every other day is fine. its a great product!

Wow...I read the reviews on this product and decided to give it a try. I don't have acne but I do have the occasional pimple and I was on the lookout for a good scrub. I didn't like it at all but it's probably just me because everyone else did. I liked the smell and it exfoliated decently but I didn't like having to dip my hand inside a jar to get at it. The tingly feeling was nice but not so much on a regular basis--plus I seemed to be getting more than the occasional pimple after using it. But again, maybe I'm a rare case so you may like this product. The idea behind it is good and 2 lipsticks for the smell.

This product is Great!!! This is the only Neutrogena product that I like...I mean love. It spreads easy so you don't need much product. While you leave it on, it has a cool, refreshing feel to it. The scrubbing beads are gentle on my sensative skin. Just make sure you rinse it off well and you are left with clean, glowing, and soft skin.

I couldn't rave about this enough!!! Just want to say THANK YOU to all the MUAers that left reviews, it was the only reason I tried it in the first place. I've been using it now for 5 days and OMG!!! My new HG facial cleanser/scrub!!! The big test: I had a pimple appear on my cheek, which is a somewhat unusual spot for one on my face, & within one day, I can BARELY tell it was even there. I'M IN LOVE!!! This stuff feels so good on your face. While using it in the "mask" phase, very cool and tingly. And with the "scrub" part, it really feels like its getting deep down into your pores, and the results show it! I haven't been this clear since I was taking a Rx from my dermatologist, that I've since discontinued and have been in desperate search for the perfect cleanser ever since. My face is very finicky, and has a mind of its own. This mask/scrub is a true godsend to me. I got it for $6.49 and Walmart, which is only $2 more than I'm used to paying for a drugstore cleanser, so it was no biggie. And although some may not like the tub, it's perfect to me. No more throwing away a tube that still contains cleaner because I can't get it out! You can reach in and put every ounce of this product to use. I'll definitely be repurchasing. My face loves it :)
