I use this after I exfoliate my lips with a scrub and whenever needed throughout the day. It leaves my lips hydrated and soft every time. I buy small little containers and fill them with it for my purse and my car so I'm never without it.

I use it on my hands and feet, this is better than a professional manicure, pedicure. I use CND Solar Spa manicure line on a weekly basis, which is heavenly but this stuff is even better than that. Slather it on for the night on hands and feet put gloves, socks on and in the morning the smoothest softest skin ever. Usually do this once a week, maybe a twice a week would be better but the transformation is amazing and is lasting too.

I love this product. I use it on my feet. I find that if I use a stridex pad first (for the acid as an exfoliant) and then use this and put on socks. My feet are super soft the next day. Truly amazing.

I bought this for my extremely dry/chapped lips - it is the only product that has worked so far to keep them from cracking and bleeding! (Gotta love the Accutane)

This stuff is great for healing up cuts and scrapes as well as improving skin that needs serious moisturizing. Smells horrible, like some sharp hospital medicine, but that fades after awhile and it's worth suffering through due to the results you get. Read in an interview that model Carmen del'Orifice, who is like 72 or so, uses this since, she said, it's like Elizabeth Arden 8 Hour Cream but at a cheaper price and larger product. ( Note: This makes sense since, according to EA's website, EA used to use 8 hour cream to heal up her horses legs and BB's is for cows udders. Also the ingredient lists are a bit similar but Bag Balm's much shorter since 8 Hour Cream has 11 ingredients verses Bag Balm's 3.)Being that she's one of my favorite older models I'm intrigued at the thought that Bag Balm alone could help ones skin look that good at 72. Who knows if that's entirely true? Maybe though in a moment of desperation ,due to the early stages of fine lines having appeared in my late 20's, one of these days I'll get brave enough to slather this stuff on my face! So far, again, it's great for cuts and dry skin and is a steal at the under $5 price tag for a container that'll last forever. Super item!

I love this product!!!! I use this mainly as a lip blam, it works better than anything that I have tried, blistex, carmex, chapstick, ANYTHING. My mother has been using this stuff longer than I have been alive. Such great stuff. She bought one of the biggie tubs 10 years ago and is only halfway through it. If it is good enough for a cow udder it is good enough for my lips! :)

This product is very versatile! You can use it for dry elbows, smooth your hands, cow udders (product's purpose), straightening stray eyebrow hairs, or creating different color lip balms, but i use this product for my severely chapped lips. Bag balm moisturizes my lips very well without the flaky peel from over moisturizing it. The consistency could be a bit smoother, but it is not too thick.
THE REASON I SAID I WOULD NOT BUY IT AGAIN IS BECAUSE I'VE HAD MINE FOR YEARS AND STILL HAVE NOT BEEN ABLE TO FINISH IT.
this is a good sign so once you purchase it you do not have to worry about running out any time soon.

I have recently developed dry elbows...ICK! Anyhow, I tried everything, including Aquaphor/Nivea Cream without any noticable difference. So, I remember seeing a tub of this in my mother's medicine cabinet and my mother always had the softest skin--so when I saw this at Wal Mart, I picked it up and WOWW..my elbows are so soft now that the rest of my body is envious! lol Seriously, it is a great product for very dry, distressed skin. Definately repurchase

A magic cream for just about anything. I first heard about it through cyclists, who use this for everything from road rash abrasions to sore seat areas. Then I heard community nurses use this for multiple purposes also. The antiseptic/moisture combo is incredible. I use it for under my nose in the winter and for healing the cracks I get at the corners of my lips when the weather gets really cold. I don't have any Bag Balm now and nothing is healing it, not even Aquaphor or Vaseline. With BB, I wake up and it's gone like magic. I know udder cream is hard to get your head around, but it's cheap and extremely effective!! I think in Ontario, you can get it at your local TSC store and at Lee Valley.

This is a really good skin moisturizer for when my skin is super dry and at night. It is really thick and really helps your skin. I have also found it doesn't clog my pores.

I really like this product. It has helped save my hands this winter. I had tried creams but they really didn't do anything except sink in and my hands would be dry again. My hands were cracking and bleeding and stung when I washed them ( I have to wash my hands a lot and that combined with winter weather is what caused my hands to become so dry.) I had purchased this product 3 years ago but wasn't amazed by it, but I still kept it around so I had a ton of it when I decided to use it again. First, I exfloiated my hands and put some lotion on them, and let that soak in for a little bit and then put this on top of it. It is petroleum based so Im not so sure about the moisturizing effectiveness, but it certainly helps to keep moisture in, which is why I put a thick coating of lotion on my hands before I put this on. I then put gloves on and leave them on for an hour or so and then my hands beign to look better. It took my hands two days to look soft and pretty again, but my were incredibly dry so for someone who doesn't have as dry hands, it could be better with just one use.

I love Bag Balm. I never would have thought to use it, but I read the reviews here on MUA and decided to give it a try. I ordered it from drugstore.com, but it can also be found at most drugstores. I work in retail, so my feet are cracked and dry, and the cold climate where I live has left my hands and lips in the same condition. So I slathered some Bag Balm all over myself and went to bed. The next morning, my hands and feet were so much softer and smoother. It didn't work as well for my lips, but that's fine- I have other lip balms to do that. This product isn't too expensive, so I feel fine scooping up great big gobs of it to rub all over my feet. It comes in a huge tin, but I've also seen a small one at the drugstore. It does have a strange smell, but you'll get used to it, and I don't mind it that much. I tried using it on my face, but it didn't work very well for me. I tell everyone I meet about Bag Balm and encourage them to try it. It's a fantastic product.

This stuff is amazing. It is right up there with the rosebud salve. I used it on my lips constantly. I had the big tub and it went wherever I did. I used it on my cuticles, elbows, or any dry skin patches. The price is completely reasonable, and it lasts forever.
Here is a hint: don't try to take it through security at the airport! They consider it a liquid and it is over the allowed amount. They took mine away even after me begging to let me keep it.

Ive had this product now for years, so I am very surprised it took me so long to realize how great of a product it is. What I am most impressed with is its lip balm effectiveness. My lips peel, crack, and weep in the dry winter air and inside heat. It is thick, it will stay on all night. It does have a distinct odor, so if you already have a pleasant-smelling product that works for you as a moisturizer, this will probably not sway you. I do not know what is special about this formula, as it is petroleum based like many other products - but it works the best for me.

This is great stuff! Been around for years. I buy one tin and it lasts me forever. I slather bag balm on my feet, put on socks and go to bed. When I wake up in the morning, my feet & heels are SO soft. It looks like I just spent an hour getting a pedicure. Try it, you will be amazed at how great your feet feel and look! It's even better when you exfoliate your heels gently before slathering it on!

i love this stuff. i use it mainly as a lip balm. i keep it on my sink and right before i leave the house i put some on. it is the perfect consistency. i hate lip products that are way too sticky. bag balm is perfect. it makes my lips look so nice. it makes your lips look sexier, fuller, and rosier. if you want a nice lip balm that heals lips and makes them look amazing, GET BAG BALM. the only reason i gave it a 4 is because of the price. it's kind of too expensive for a tub of cow udder moisturizer.

Ah, Bag Balm. The only product I've ever found that effectively softens my feet overnight. Yes, it's greasy; and yes, it smells like plastic (and possibly the underside of a cow), but you cannot beat it's effectiveness. Seriously, I slather this stuff on, put on cotton socks, go to bed and...voila! My dry feet are baby-soft by the time I wake up in the morning. I also love how it helps heal up hangnails. Great stuff.

I found this to be way to sticky - the consistently is like thick vaseline. I really wanted to like this product, as I have eczema and am always on the lookout for good moisturizers, this just didn't do it for me. It doesn't seem to sink it at all, gets all over my clothing, etc. Even when I nixed the idea of it being an all over moisturizer and just tried using a dab on my elbows, it left marks on my desk. My skin doesn't seem to be any more hydrated by it - the stuff just sits on top of my skin like a shiny film until it rubs off on something else. It's very, very much like vaseline - I should probably compare the ingredients.
I don't mind the smell at all, and the vintage-looking tin is really cool, but I'm definitely not purchasing this again.

You get a big tin for way cheap, and I can tell it is going to last a lonnnnnng time. Works great as a lip balm and primer for lip gloss.
