Pretty good. So easy to apply, separates, non-clumping, and quite a liquid/wet kind of formula. While it really does lengthen and create a nice natural look, its not at all volumising (I guess it doesn't purport to be, either!), so if its volume that you are after, this one's not for you.
I find it a good 'day' mascara - quick and fast in the morning, almost fool-proof, but nothing va-va-voom-ish. Its a 'safe' bet, the kind of mascara you know can be a staple in your makeup bag and not going to gum or clump up in a month's time like the heavier volume products do.

This mascara looks fantastic - lengthens, separates, gives a really enhanced but clean and delicate look (no tarantula lashes with this baby). Unfortunately, it smudges reeeally badly. All it takes is for your eyes to get slightly teary from the wind (or whatever) and you end up with panda eyes like you've just run drunkenly sobbing through a thunder storm. It also tends to sting my eyes a bit if I just jump in the shower/wash my face without removing it first (which I haven't experienced with any other mascara).

Very nice. So far the best Estee Lauder mascara that I have tried. It goes on evenly, separates the lashes and does give it a fuller appearance. I think it gives my eyes a more sophisticated look.

I've been using this for over 10 years and love the product as it's non-irritating and keeps my lashes soft. It goes on really well and I love the colour as my lashes are fair. I agree it's a bit runny and does smudge if your eyes water or your lashes touch your cheeks. But, as I have very sensitive eyes, the fact it doesn't irritate and washes off without the need of eye make up remover (I use Cetaphil to take my make up off) is a bonus. Will be definitely buying it for years to come as my everyday one, but I do use other mascaras for special occasions.

Very nice color, and I do love the brush, but this mascara is just too runny for me. I don't mind using it under my blue mascara, but if not for that I probably would have tossed it.

I got this as a GWP with an order and I'm mixed on it. It goes on well, is very black and looks great but is VERY prone to running if your eyes water! The formula is really thin. The minute water hits it, it's off. Washed off like a dream and it does it really easily. If you sweat and your lashes touch your cheek there is a smudge. I don't think I'd purchase a full size once my lasting forever small one runs out because of the thin factor.

I got a free sample of this mascara when I bought foundation and it was terrible. It did nothing for my lashes- no volume or length. And I have long eyelashes! I had even put a primer on before putting it on my lashes and still nothing. If you're looking for natural looking eyelashes where it looks like you have nothing on try this. But if you want long, dramatic lashes try Magnascopic or Definicils.

I received this as a GWP and good thing I did because I would not purchase the regular price item. It smudges so much that by the end of my work day, there isn't much left on my lashes. It's all under my eyes creating faux dark circle. yuck! Usually my etude lash primer prevents any mascara from flaking or smudging but it didn't work with this one. If the mascara gave me dramatical length or full volume and curled my lash then I can live with all the smudging and flaking but this mascara is so below average that it is not worth it at all. I would not recomment this to anyone.

This is a good natural mascara. It also works well separating your lashes but the only down side is that it doesn't give me volume. That's why I put on my colossal first then I use this to separate the lashes. I use it everyday but if it runs out I wouldn't buy again. I just use it to use it.

I got this as a GWP. It went on easily w/o clumping and held a curl. It looks very natural and removal is a breeze. I'd use a free sample again (but not purchase). I prefer waterproof mascara.

When the beauty consultant at the Estee Lauder counter used this on me, it seemed to give the clump-free volume my that long but sparse lashes so desperately need. However, when I use this at home, it's thick and goopy and clumps like crazy on me. The only way I can use it is if I wipe most of the mascara off the wand with a tissue, and then comb out my lashes afterwards. A rather tedious application, if you ask me, and even then there are some lashes clumped together. Considering it's hefty price tag, I definitely would not purchase this again.

Got length. No clump. No volume.
Simple as that lolz. Didn't flake on me yet, but I use a mascara base so that might've done something extra to that mascara.

Got this gwp, and I spent some time reading the reviews after I had tried it. I am surprised anyone could get length out of this. I really couldn't do a thing with this. It actually looked like a tint on my lashes, no length, no volume, just darker. I guess if it's worth it to you to spend time putting this on for darker lashes, it certainly would be the most 'natural' look you could get from mascara. For me, if I'm going to go through the hassle of mascara, I at least want them to show. Mine are just too short and sparse for something that only colors. It was gentle, and seemed to stay on all day with minimal smudging, but I won't purchase a full tube myself.

this is a basic mascara, it provides length but no volume. I got the gwp size, so I cant comment on the price. The only thing I like is that its natural and doesnt clump, if you are looking for a basic mascara for those two reasons, then I would recommend this but there are better mascaras out there.

length but no volume- when i first put this on i was like "wow, my eyelashes are long!" but then later i looked in the mirror and i guess as the lashes dried they dried together and it loos like i have super sparse lashes... i tried it next day and combed through before they completely dried and it was better, but then needed 2 coats which required more combing- so time consuming!!

This mascara will absolutely not clump. It's pretty amazing how clump free it is. So no worries there! Decent volume and length. The cool thing about it is its very buildable and I am telling you this will NOT clump. Great mascara.

This is the only mascara I have ever went back and bought again. It's expensive, but it doesn't dry my eyelashes out. It isn't a dramatic look, but curling lashes before applying makes them look so pretty and my lashes feel soft while it's on. As for staying power, I usually dont notice if it comes off, for I never had racoon eyes, but I would suggest applying a coat of waterproof OVER this brand. I done this before and had great results, and the formula from EL protected my eyelashes from getting dried out by most of the other brands.

LOVE THIS! This was *the* first high end makeup I remember purchasing on my own as a young teenager. I remember seeing an ad in the magazine and next trip at the mall, I purchased it. I'm now 30 and still love this! It is such a nice mascara that gives me length and volume....I wouldn't wear this for a big event but for everyday use this is perfect. It is gentle and has never irritated my sensitive eyes. I love the long, thin brush! My complaint is that I wish it was waterproof: I have allergies and my eyes water all the time and prefer something waterproof, but with that aside, I will always have this on hand as it is never sticky or heavy feeling but really builds my lashes nicely.

Does a really nice job separating my lashes and also a good job at lengthening but really no volume. I also feel like the staying power is not the best and I have also noticed some racoon eyes without warrant. I am still searching for my HG mascara.

After falling in love with Estee Lauder Magnascopic, I was eager to try this other EL mascara. I was seriously disappointed though. The effect was far less dramatic (neither here nor there...nothing special). The real shocker came when later that evening I had mascara all over my face! I have tried dozens of mascaras and have never had raccoon eyes for no reason (ie. no crying, no sleeping, no showering :). This one is going straight into the garbage for me.
