I have been using this mask in an unorthodox way and really liking it. I leave it on all night but just in the area where I have blackheads (nose) and I wake up to clearer pores. It doesn't overdry, but really absorbs the sebum in my combination skin. This overnight method has the side benefit of keeping my face less oily throughout the day.
(Despite Dr.H. recommendation, I don't use this with the Facial Steam Bath. Steaming with FSB has caused me to break out.)

Actually I found it excellent for drying up acne. Ultimately acne is an internal problem so all the topical creams in the world won't heal it unless you cleanse your insides at the same time.
Drink lots of water to counter dehydration, make sure you're not constipated - which is probably the main reason for acne, it's just not advertised otherwise no one would bother buying those ghastly acid based acne potions that can almost strip paint off the wall - so hydrate from within, clear you bowels daily and use a quality moisturizer.
And stay away from products that irritate the skin and make acne worse.

This is a terrible product if you have sensitive skin. I have had problem acne on my chin for ten years now. Using the cleansing cream and oil had stabilized my chin. I then made the mistake of using this product. I have suffered the worst cysts in a very long time - large, painful and all over my chin. They appeared two-three days after using the mask. It has taken me back ten steps.

I came accross Dr's products in one of Krakow's pharmacies and although the pricetag was not merciful for my wallet, I have bought it on the spot with a rejuvenating mask.
The thinly ground powder comes in a nice heavy jar (look out for little hands in the bathroom as you may have not only your jar destroued but your tiles too! ;))
for which you can buy a bit cheaper refill (not in Krakow though). You have to mix it with water, which is pretty tricky, because it was difficult for me to find the right amount, and I do have experience with green clay masks in powder. As I used to use Argiletz clay masks in a paste I have preferred a thicker consistency - so I put 1 teaspoon + half of that of moneral water.
Luckily it is possible to layer this mask on the face.
It dries out in about 15 minutes, does not dry the skin and is easy to wash off (you do not have to spray it with water as with the green clay as it easily comes off).
Everything would be fine, unfortunately, after 10th use I cannot see any significant difference with this mask. I was seeing difference with the green clay masks so I will return to clay, not to Dr Hauschka, whose packaging I will still use though ;)

pretty nice. it's not quite as effective at pulling out cloggies as i would like, but the tradeoff is that it does clear things up pretty well and it doesn't burn or go overboard. i really like the packaging too, that you buy a nice jar to start out with and can just buy refill packs later on. this works really well with the aspirin mask.

The perfect clay mask for sensitive and oily skin type! It is very effective, (reduced blackheads and pimples) and my skin remains calm and comfortable after using it. (I have tried other clay masks, and red spots/patches appeared on my cheeks) I use it every one or two weeks.

*****I know this sounds crazy, but read on...Are Any of you using ANY Dr. Hauschka skin care items and noticing increasing hair shedding on your head/and/or upset thyroid symptoms? I am. A well known Hauschka Rep, known as Kathy White, Ingredient specialist for the U.S, (who is very open to any questions you have with the Hauschka products) told me that some of the products contain mustard oil from Indian cress, & black mustard essential oil. (note:Several plants in the cruciferous (cabbage, mustard broccoli) family contain mustard oil which is known to block the conversion of thyroid hormone). She mentioned that she couldn't take the inner cosmetic supplement (one of the many Hauschka products that contain this mustard oil) which contains this pungent oil because it affected her thyroid and her hair shedding was one symptom!), the products also contain soy lecithin as an emulsifier in almost all Hauschka's products (soy contains compounds that interfere with thyroid hormones as well) and a few other things that can confuse your thyroid function. REMEMBER- Anything you put on your skin is easily absorbed into your blood stream- especially over a long period of time. That is why some people are prescribed topical ointments, progesterone cream, etc. which are all applied to the skin, absorbed into the body.)
She also mentioned that fermented grain extract found in the Cleansing Milk can be a possible allergen to some people since it is derived from naturally fermented grain and some people can have an allergy to the yeasts and lacto-bacilli that it is fermented with. Also, she mentioned alot of ingredients that aren't even on the box the products come in when you buy them, or even on the list of ingredients which I thought was a little strange. Check out Paula Begoun's review on Hauschka- she even says the same thing. www.cosmeticscop.com. My hair has been shedding a bit, still under the normal amount of hair loss per day, but started shedding noticeably (on my shirt, in the shower as I ran my hands through my hair) about 2 weeks into using his whole skin and body care line. (Of course I went to my doctor and they ran all kinds of tests including a ton of blood tests, even hair loss tests and everything was normal)...If any of you notice your hair "shedding" strangely more than usual or any other thyroid-type symptoms, I'd really be interested in knowing. I love the skin care line, and I can't imagine having to stop using it. Hopefully my body will adjust!!!*******

This mask seems expensive but the jar lasts ages using it once a week like I do. I used it after the steam bath as recommended. The mask can be a bit messy to apply and mix up, also it's a pain having to keep it damp but once you get the hang of it it does make your skin feel lovely and clean and tightens pores without any irritation.

This is a really good mask for drawing out impurities. No breakout and my face is clearer after using it. It's not drying at all for even my dry chin area. I have sensitive and acne-prone skin but this did not irritate at all. As the others said, it's a little troublesome to use cos' you got to steam your face (I use a big bowl of hot water) and mix the mask yourself. It's easy to wash off but kinda messy cos' it's mud afterall. So, though it's really pretty effective and one of the best masks I have used, I'm not sure I will repurchase since it's not cheap and kinda troublesome to use for lazy me.

At 34 with clear skin, slightly sensitive and on the dry side I suddenly got blemishes from taking medication with steroids, and I wanted to do something. I didn't feel that specialized 'pimple stuff' for oily skin would work. I got Dr. Hauschka's facial steam bath and cleansing clay mask (both for all skin types, they are recommended to use together) and boy do they work. I ended up with baby soft, clean, fresh looking and feeling skin. Didn't leave my skin feeling tight, no breakouts, it just felt very comfortable and clean. If you're looking for non-agressive, good deep cleansing products, try these.

This is a basic clay mask but I like it a lot more than other clay masks I've tried. It doesn't leave my skin feeling tight afterwards and producing more oil like QHMJM does. I like that it is grainy so when you take it off it also acts as an exfoliator. You have to mix this yourself, it is a powder that you mix with water, which is fun sometimes and annoying at others if you really don't feel like getting a spoon and bowl to mix it in. It also seems like I've been going through this really quickly but I would definitely get this again. Oh and it is the color of baby poop, so if you want a nice, pretty colored mask this is not it! It says that this mask is for all skin types, and you just leave it on for a different amount of time depending on your skin type. I like that because if my skin is feeling dryer than normal (I have combo-oily skin) I won't leave it on for as long as usual. This is the first mask I've liked in awhile.

I really like this mask. I have Queen Helene's but while it was worked pretty good I have a real problem with clogged pores. I figured that the Dr. H mask combined with the facial steam bath might open my pores wider and let more come out. And it did just that. Not only are my pores a lot cleaner than anything else I have used, but it really made my skin feel soft and not stressed a little like MJM would make me feel. This is totally worth a try and for me a HG. Update: Took to long and too much effort. Wont buy again
