omg......THIS STUFF IS AMAZING!!! I have always had fragile, brittle nails. Tried countless other 'so called' hardeners, but nothing worked. Read the great reviews here and decided to go to my local CVS and pick up a bottle. SOOOO GLAD I DID! This stuff really works. Only been using it 2 weeks and my nails are longer than ever. They look much healthier too. Love the shine this protien provides too-I haven't had a problem with it peeling, like some others claim. I suggest everyone with problem nails get this asap. You'll never have to go to the salon for acrylics again!!!!!! HG FOR SURE:)


UPDATE:
Unfortunately I had to remove a couple lippies. This product wasn't as great as I thought. At first, my nails seemed much harder and were growing fast. Then the polish began peeling terribly and 2 of my nails chipped and broke. I'm so sad!!! Really wanted to have long, beautiful nails for once in my life. Will try Mavala nail hardener instead.

I have used this on and off for years depending on the conditions my hands are exposed to. They're in water a lot so the stuff really helps to keep the nails strong. You have to be consistent with use, to use daily in the beginning. But it should be easy to incorporate into your routine because it dries very quickly. If you want strong nails, this is for you.

I've been using this nail polish for years. When I took the acrylic off my nails four years ago, the nail-lady applied this polish on my nails and I fell in love with it. Within a week I could see a noticeable difference in the growth of my nails, it was amazing. I continue to use this polish because it helps my nails grow, stay strong, and healthy. This is by far the best nail strengthening polish on the market. I highly recommend it!

Love this nail hardener. It keeps my weak nails from breaking off. The only problem I have w/it is that I have to remove & start over twice a week. I tried using it for a week before removing and it got so thick it started peeling off my nails in sheets. Just a couple thin coats protect my nails fine, so I think 6-7 coats would be overkill anyway

For the first time *ever* in my life, I have had people comment positively on my nails. Five people this past week have asked me if my nails were fake. I know some people may not take that as a compliment, but as someone who has NEVER been able to grow out her nails, it was one of the best compliments in my life.

I do not bite my nails or subject them to harsh treatment. I just have genetically weak nails that are thin, weak, and brittle. The nails on my index fingers are especially weak - they break every other week, and often in the middle of the nails, not at the tips. Every time they do, an extremely slow and painful healing process ensues. What has been broken is still attached to the skin behind the nail. I am constantly bandaging my index fingers so as not to have the ragged edges where they have broken catch on something and accidentally tear off.

For years, I have lived my life like this. Until I discovered Nailtiques Formula 2. Other nail hardeners are no comparison to Formula 2. You apply it everyday for 2 months and you WILL have longer and stronger nails. Your manicures will be amazing. You may even be annoyed that you can no longer type as efficiently as you once did because they are so long.

I bought the 0.5 oz off of ebay for $15, including shipping. I've seen it at Pure Beauty for $18 and Bed, Bath, and Beyond for around $15. It's not terribly expensive and well worth the investment if you want your nails to be long and strong. I expect to use this for as long as I can.

Love, love, love Nailtiques. This formula is great, as is Nailtiques 3 if your nails are more hard/dry. The best nail strengthener out there. Nail Tek is garbage, by the way - there is no comparison. Get the original Nailtiques.

I typically have artificial nails but I usually remove them at least once a year. Of course, the bad part is that when the nails are removed, they are so damaged and thin that they break whenever they get any type of length on them. Well, once I got past that part and finally had healthy nails growing I had to deal with my age old issue of splitting nails. I went to Ulta and the manager there suggested the Nailtiques Formula II and I couldn't be happier. Currently I'm sitting here with natural nails, "sport" length (and all the same length at that!) nails. They look and feel healthy first the first time in about....well....forever. I also bought the Nailtiques Formula II ridge filler with treatment. I do what everyone else has talked about as far as application...I do one to two coats to start with, my nail color and then do a coat everyday for up to 7 days, remove and start again. Hey...if this is what it takes to have the nice nails I have now, I'll do it. Sure beats the alternative and is less expensive!

This product is the best!!! Not only does it make your nails stronger, but it seems to make them grow faster. I have been using it for almost 2 years (after having artificial nails for 10+ years) and my nails look better than ever. My girlfriends are all using it and can't believe how long and beautiful their nails are. The only drawback, you must use it daily (or doesn't work the same), then about every 3-5 days remove all the product and start again.

Once your nails are established you can occassionally miss a day here and there. You gotta try it!!!

I cannot say enough nice things about Nailtiques formula 2. I wish I had a before and after picture to show you. The results are really amazing. I have been a nail biter for as long as I can remember. I really wanted to grow my nails out, but years of nail biting weakens your nails. As a result, my nails were super soft and peeling. With the first application of Nailtiques Formula 2, my nail felt noticably harder (I mention this because in the past, I have tried Nailtek and Revivanail which did not have immediate noticable results.) The finish is very shiny, and I even got lots of compliments on my nails the next day. Within about 2-3 weeks, my nails are strong, flexible, and long. You do have to apply one coat each day, so the product goes kind of fast and it's not inexpensive, but if you have problem nails and really want to help them "heal," this is worth it. I found that the polish dries pretty quickly. I used my Nailtiques formula 2 in conjunction with their nail oil. I applied the nail oil daily on my cuticles and under my nail bed after allowing the formula 2 polish to dry. Yesterday, I finally made the switch to Nailtiques formula 1 (maintenance formula.) I am very happy with these products.

I've had acrylics/gels for about 13 years and recently took them off. I used Nailtiques religiously and now my real nails are long and strong with the same look as my fake nails. When I first took off the gels and applied Nailtique it stung! -Quite painfully for almost a month until they were in better shape. I stuck with it and continue to use Nailtique because it dries quickly and really strengthens. I read here to keep Nailtique off the cuticle or else it will be drying but haven't really experienced that. I hear that Nail Tek is more moisturizing and it is cheaper but I tried that a few years ago and now know to stick with the real deal.

this product works pretty well. I don't have anything to really compare it to, besides a few various Sally Hansen products. This does seem to make my nails stronger, although it is not chip resistant. It really does make your nails tough, but it is a little pricey. It tends to be really thick, so I can't use this with any color. With 2 coats alone, I start to get bubbles and uneven layers. All in all though, it's what I need to let my nails grow long :)

I have fairly strong, healthy nails, but this strengthens them even more and makes them grow faster. I started using this product again a few months ago and I've noticed it's made my nail beds grow longer, which is great because I have relatively short nail beds.

Best nail growth formula hands down. I could not grow my nails without this. My first HG. Pricey, but worth it if does the job. And it does indeed! Will buy again, next time I have $$ to shell out for nail polish!!!

My nails were RUINED after acrylics. I know they have an after artificial treatment but i just decided to go with formula 2. I'm so glad i did. My nails were back to normal in no time, the ridges and splits grew out practically before my very eyes. I cannot reccommend this enough. Just perservere and apply it diligently as it says in the instructions and you will not be sorry!!

I love this product. I work at Ulta and we had a Christmas meeting and one of the giftbags was full of Nailtiques products and I've been dying to have nice nails for years. My nails are naturally soft and break very easily.. but if I have this on my nails they feel much stronger and now they are growing to be quite nice. I've tried tons of drugstore strengtheners like Sally Hansen and even tried an OPI treatment and none have worked before. I put this on everyday initially and now I put it on every couple of days. I have thought of trying formula 2+ but I wont go that route unless my nails start breaking again.

Let me start this review by saying, I wore acrylic nails for years! At least 5-7 yr....continous. This past October( 2008) I decided I was going to tough it out, take the acrylics off, as ugly as it was going to be, and grow my own nails!! The ladies on the nail board recommended this product, along with a glass nail file( A MUST).
The first two weeks was the worst, but I stuck it out...applying this product everyday. My nails felt hard relatively fast....but what was most intriguing and exciting, was the rate that my nails grew!
The damage part of the nail is almost gone!! That is how fast they have grown! This dries fast, doesn't smell any worse than any other nail product. I am thrilled to have found this product. Other tips I recommend, is any house work requiring hands in water...use gloves, and taking Biotin supplement everyday.....2.5-5mg per day...this may be playing a role in the accelerated growth of my nails and hair!!!
Biotin is water soluble....so no worry of a toxic build up in the liver. You excrete what you don't use.
Also an added benefit....not going to the salon every 2 weeeks, will save me $600-700/year!! More money for perfumes:))))

My nails were a mess....peeling, chipping, bubbling. I got this stuff based on reviews...I really like it! My nails improved within a few days. They have stopped peeling and bubbling...I didn't find it did a whole lot for growth but def made them healthier.
Now some people say it just peels...I found after about 2 1/2 weeks use, all it did was peel off so I jsut went back to my normal nail polish routine and I use this stuff once a week...and my nails have been great ever since!!!
....update........ if I could give this stuff 10 stars I would.........I now use this stuff as a top coat and it is FANTASTIC!!!! I can get a mani to last a week looking perfect :) without reapplying multiple coats (although I often do a second coat midweek).......it's pricey yes but the polish stays a nice runny consistency and I use the bottle right to the bottom....my nails are hard, not chipping or peeling. Everyone is amazed how long my manicures last!

It didnt help my peeling nails AT ALL and smelled just awful! Im noticing my nails peeling even more after using this stuff. Waste of money.

I love this and can't live without it! I've always been a nail biter and have always tried not to but always come back to it. My nails are thin but when I use this, they feel strong and look so pretty that I don't want to bite them. This really fortifies the nail and makes it stronger. HG! IMO, it is much better than Nail Tek or Nail Envy.
