The first ingredient is mineral oil so that should tell you something....Jergens All Purpose Face Cream is very - let me repeat - VERY moisturizing. It is worth noting that this comes in a 15 oz. jar - so practically a life time supply if you use it only for your face.

I got this at Wal-mart and was excited to try it out since my skin has been dehydrated lately, and I have hard water to boot so by the time I have patted dry my skin is begging for moisture. I put this one before bed, a little goes a super long way. This practically glides across the skin. It took a long time to absorb so I would not recommend for day time use. When I woke up my skin was smooth, hydrated and felt soft.

I haven't used this to remove makeup yet but I will try it since I use Revlon CS primarily and it has a tendency to leave traces of makeup behind. I imagine it will work well - like I said it is super slippery and a little goes a long way.

All in all, I would repurchase again, but I won't use this very often. I would personally only recommend this as a moisturizer for super dry skin, anything less than that and you probably won't like the way your skin feels. I had to fight the urge to tissue off what didn't absorb:(

Five lippies for an inexpensive, super cream that will hydrate the driest of skins:)

UPDATE: I have been slathering this on at night and waking up to baby soft skin. My medication is drying my skin out and I have been drinking water non stop nothing else was helping but THIS made all the difference in the world. Very pleased with this product!

OK, so I have been using this for several years and can say that it is the best thing in my medicine cabinet. I love everything about it: the old school smell, the creamy pink color, the way it takes off every trace of makeup and leaves my skin dewy and soft. It costs about $2.88 at Walmart.

This product is simple, and amazing. It's SIMPLY AMAZING! It's packaging can improve, but it's been around so long, so I guess that's okay. Sure, you look greasy with it, but I sleep with it in on, so I don't care, haha! If you just leave it on at night, you won't regret it. I go through phases where my undereye area gets all wrinkly and loose (disgusting, I know), and a few nights with this baby, and all the winkles are GONE ! (: Def. buying this, whenever I run out. It's so HUGE! It'll last you months, depending on how much you use. GET THIS. Don't buy expensive brands, just get this. Your wallet will thank you. :D

I use this as a makeup remover since I can't use it as a mosturizer on account of the fact that I have extremely oily skin but I love it cuz it removes my waterproof mascara very very well :) I use Volum' Express and without this it just won't come off!

This product has been amazing for me over the years. I have dry sensitive skin and have to be mindful of what I put on it. It is super cheap for a giant tub. It removes my makeup efficiently and even my waterproof mascara. I rub it all over my face and take a warm washcloth and let the washcloth steam my face for about a minute, and everything comes right off. It doesn't irritate my skin in any way shape or form. It doesn't bother my sensitive eyes and yet it is so effective. Sometimes going back to the basics is the best thing. I have tried many high end and many all natural products, with many of them not doing anything except dipping into my pocketbook. When they state this is an all purpose cream they aren't kidding. It is a great makeup remover and it is a great moisturizer for your face. It is a little greasy but when you have dry skin, it does sink in. I love this for travel. I just transfer it into a smaller pot and use it for makeup removal, a facial moisturizer, under eye cream, and even a body and foot moisturizer. A giant tub will set you back about $4 and last forever. There will always be room in my medicine chest for this great inexpensive multi purpose cream.

This is a pretty awesome product. I use it to clean my face in the evenings and it doesn't break me out. I massage the face cream into my face without bothering to remove my makeup for about 15-30 seconds. then I use a warm/hot washcloth and let it rest on my face for 5 seconds and use the washcloth to remove the cream. It really cleans off the makeup. I do apply the CVS version of Cetaphil's moisturizing cream afterward after I apply my retin-a. Retin a is really the only thing that seems to control my acne. I also use a mix of BP and Clindamycin during the day, but if I skip it my skin doesn't go crazy like skipping retin-a does.

This is a great product that's super-cheap. I think its $4 at Walmart for a huge tub that lasts a long time. It does what it's supposed to without breaking me out. What more can you ask for?

This cream is fantastic! I am 20 years old and have very sensitive, dry skin; I have never seen my face oily in my whole life. Having such dry, reactive skin, it's hard to find a cream that can cater to my needs: heavily moisturizing, highly emollient and hypoallergenic. This cream is both, and I think I've found my HG moisturizer! I personally love creams that contain oil, because they help me stay moist throughout the whole day; oil-free creams tend to leave me dry and flaky after a few hours, and this one absolutely does not thanks to the oily, emollient nature of this cream.

My method of application is simply to generously apply it on my face. I do not wash it off or remove it; my skin absorbs it very fast and is left feeling silky smooth. If you are of the oily variety, I'd advise to either skip this product or use it merely as a makeup remover.

Definitely try this out if you are in need of a great, heavy moisturizer!

My grandma and my mom have both used this stuff....so it was no surprise that I'd somehow end up with it too.. I seemingly have sensitive eyes because everytime I use eye mu removers I.e..estee lauder.. Allay..even neutrogena they all make my eyes burn.....anddd all the make up STILL doesn't come off....

This stuff, albeit a little greasy, still does a great job of taking eye mu off, I just follow it up with my cleanser afterwards...oh and it's 2 something at walmart

At first, I didn't really know what to do with this stuff! So, I just used it as kind of moisturizing mask and I would sleep with it on. I actually am very acne prone, but I have like combo skin and it really did help. My cheeks felt so nice and soft the next day. I then went on MUA and read the other reviews about it, and learned that it is a great cleanser too! I'm in the process of finding the perfect cleanser, so i decided to try that out. It made me break out! I think it was just too much moisture for me, which i'm pretty bummed about because it removes makeup pretty well. I barely use it now, and I might buy a new one. There's a lot in the jar so I don't even know if i can finish the first one! It's also like dirt cheap.

I was at Walmart yesterday, and was looking for something new for Spring/Summer in the makeup aisles.

I saw this on the shelf and its the stuff my mom uses to take off her makeup (We both use Revlons Colorstay foundation and the Outlast lip color by Covergirl and Almay, and if you've ever used those, you know they're hard to get off) and it brought back memories of when I was little. BTW, my mom is 81 and looks like she's in her 60's..and she swears by this stuff. I figured it wouldn't hurt to give it another try and if I didn't like it I could give it to my mom.. I used this once when I was in college and it was just too oily for me, but now that I'm 45, who knows..it might just be what I'm looking for. LOL!

So, I decided to get a jar of it to give it a try. I tried it last night, and it took every trace of makeup off my face, without irritating my skin. I have rosacea and I was concerned about it irritating it as well, but the redness calmed down quite a bit and when I woke up this morning, my skin looked so calm and nice. No redness, no blotchiness, and smooooooth, but not in a greasy, oily kind of way.

So, I'm gonna give this another try as a makeup remover and go from there. So far, so good and it felt really soothing when I put it on to take off the makeup last night, too. :D

I found this at my local Walmart for $3.38! I bought 2. I am in love. I use it every night to take off my makeup. I use a warm washcloth. I don't even need moisturizer unless I use another cleanser or toner afterwards. I started using it as an eye cream, too. Works great! I found that some of the Walgreens in my area carry it, too, but it costs more there of course but still super cheap compared to what I've been spending on dept. store brands. I just hit 40 and decided to go back to basics. My face started breaking out using all these antioxidant expensive creams & serums. My skin is looking better now. With the economy the way it is, too, I decided to cut way back on all my skincare/makeup purchases. Now I am wondering why I spent so much $. I think the basic, cheap stuff without the hype works better at least for me!

You want skin silky to the touch? Get this! This is a great muti-purpose product. This is a great moisturizer, although it can be a bit heavy at times & a GREAT makeup remover (great for that waterproof mascara that wouldn't come off). Ive been using it for the last 7 months and its been doing me wonders and I've only used about 1/3 of the 6oz jar. It never fails to soften my skin and a small amount goes a long way. It feels heavy at first but in a few minutes it sinks in your skin and starts the magic! I've been using this with witch hazel at night because of heaviness, and people would wonder why my skin is so clear & soft. It comes in a cute retro tub & has a pleasant smell (at times it can be overbearing) similar to baby lotion. Overall I'm happy I found this ..I love multi-purpose products & I would buy this again in a heartbeat ..if only it was easy to find it...

best cleanser to use in the cold winter time..
I add a few of my own essential oils and extracts to make it more "luxurious". I hate that dry feeling after washing my face. So far its been a staple, and been frequently using it. I can get this, or other cream cleanser knockoffs similar like this in the big jar. You can even apply this as a thick coat and use it as a mask to nourish your skin even more..add on honey, whatever you want because the texture is nice and thick and will STAY on.

Ok this face cream has lasted me forever and it has never broken me out and I believe it is because of my routine: At the end of the day I use Philosophys Microdermabrasion wash to cleanse & exfoliate my face, after that I spread a layer of the Jergens face cream all over my face and take a wet washcloth with hot water and wipe the cream completely off my face. Even though the cream is wiped off I can still feel the moisture on my skin because it sinks in right away. Afterwards my face has a nice glow and does not feel greasy. I only use this cream once a day before I go to bed. This is better to be used as a moisturizer after you cleanse or to take off eye make-up but not as a cleanser. I think the key for this to not break you out (unless your allergic) would be to wash your face with a gentle liquid cleanser first then apply this cream after and wipe off any excess with a washcloth. The results are fantabulous baby!!!

I wish I could love this, but it clogs my pores like nothing else. Which is a shame, because it removes makeup well and is a pretty good moisturizer too. But after using this for about two weeks, my skin was a total mess.

This really is one of the best face creams available at a decent price still, and I hope it stays affordable! I have used jergens for years, and find it removes makeup faster than cold cream. I apply it evenly all over my face and throat using my hands, then I use a very warm wash towel to remove my makeup. The makeup comes off very easy. My skin always feels very clean, soft, and moist afterwards, never greasy. I personally love the smell of this cream. It is not over powering, or flowery like ponds, just pleasant and soothing.
If you do have oily skin and prone to break outs, you may want to use an additional cleanser to dry you skin out more due to how moist this cream leaves your skin. I have never had a problem with jergens breaking my skin out. When I was a younger woman, I had oil prone areas, and the dreaded zit areas, but that was just due to hormones and the age factor.
No worries young ladies...eventually the breaking out and the zits do go away. If we are all lucky this wonderful face cream will still be around for you all to use and enjoy as much as the most of us do now.
Buy it ladies and save yourself some money on the other brands. This one is the best as far as a quality product, value for your $, and all around many uses. Did I mention...It smells very nice, calming, soothing to the senses, and it makes your skin feel sooo smooth and soft.

I have been using this product for two weeks now, and I must say I love it. I'm 22 years old, and never suffered from breakouts until last year. After trying many different products I settled into my regime that worked: using the Clean and Clear Advantage System for the daytime, and the Acne Free 3 Step System for the night. Needless to say, my skin did clear up, but I was left with terrible dryness and peeling. I tried the Garnier exfloliating systerm, and coated my face in Nivea cream, but nothing could keep the dryness and flakes away until I tried this product. I'll admit that I was so hesitant to try this product, because my skin had finally cleared up, but I decided to go for it, because my skin was in such bad shape. I can say that I no longer need the C&C Advantage or the Acne Free. My dryness is gone, and my skin is so much smoother. My best friend even commented that my skin was looking "better than ever," which honestly made my day, because for the last year my skin had embarassed me. I no longer cake MAC SFF on, and I can go with tinted moisturizer and a dusting of Bare Minerals. This stuff is amazing, and so cheap, and it changed my skin for the better. I will buy it for as long as they continue to make it.
