I wanted to like this because what is there not to like? It's hypoallergenic, comedogenic, and has SPF. Unfortunately, it did nothing but irritate my skin. After just 3 days of using this, I had a bunch of pimples on my chin, cheeks and some in my jawline! I wanted to brush it off and blame it on, say some other stuff I was using, but after removing this from my regimen, my skin cleared up immediately. Too bad. Will NOT repurchase. I

The formula does actually help moisturize my face pretty well, unlike the Neutrogena Healthy Defense spf 30, this helped moisturize the dry patches I have on my cheeks. The pump is a nice change compared to the Healthy Defense, I can stand the light smell of sunscreen, and it doesn't get me oily fast.

......UPDATE I had to stop using this product after a month. It made me BREAK OUT on my chin and the sides of my face. I also have small bumps on my cheeks. My skin is now under damage control............... .......... .......... .......
I really love how this product feels on my face! Before purchasing I used regular, smelly, sunblock and I couldn't stand the scent or the shine it left on my face. This product goes on smoothly and absorbs into my skin within 2-3mins. No lingering smell, no greasy skin, and stays on for hours. I use it before applying make up or wear alone when I want to go bare faced. As a side note, I've been using it for 3 weeks and it has yet to break me out ;)

Well honestly this product did nothing for my skin. I wish it could have because I liked the bottle and the SPF is good I guess. Although I would like to have a little more. But anyways, this product made my skin a hundred times oilier than it already was. I would never buy this again. My skin looked soo shiny and insanely oily. After quitting the use my skin improved a lot more.

This is the perfect moisturizer with minimal spf for day to day use. I love this stuff. I haven't broken out at all, which I usually do with sunscreens because of the avenbenzone, which this doesn't have YAY! This is sheer light weight and great for under makeup. My skin is soft and smooth all day.

I love this moisturizer! I have weird sensitive skin which seems to be both dry and oily at the same time in my t-zone. I've tried just about every line of moisturizes at the drug store and they ALL irritate my skin: huge red dry itchy patches on my cheeks and forehead. This is the only one that's ever really worked and I love it. I agree with what others have said about the sunscreen smell, but it fades away in less than an hour. The price and packaging are great. In the summer I sometimes avoid putting it along my hairline or chin, where I break out from the extra oil on my face. The only other moisturizer I've ever been able to use was some amazing but horribly expensive Clinique lotion in a little green pump bottle. This works as well if not better and is probably a third of the price for twice as much product. Oddly enough, the Neutrogena sensitive skin moisturizer does break me out, but this one, the regular SPF, doesn't. I have used it for years and will continue to do so in the future!

I have oily skin that is quite acne prone, so this is what I usually use in summer when my skin is at it's oiliest. It doesn't break me out! I like that it is very light-weight and absorbs easily. Doesn't smell too weird and isn't greasy. It didn't give it a 5 because I wish it was more moisturizing since I have fairly dry skin around my nose. I would still repurchase though.

It does what it's supposed to. Except on me, it is very greasy and oily. I have normal skin, not super oily, but I get a little oily on my T zone by the end of the day. I think this made me oilier. Plus it feels and smells just like sunscreen. If it wasn't so oily it would be good but I won't buy this one again, I'll try another!!

Before you come to any conclusions based on my rating, read skin types this would be fabulous for (the last paragraph). (:
I've broken this review down into several parts so that anyone reading this can skip over what they already know or don't want to read. In this order: Price, packaging, reaction and types of skin this would be good for.
Price:
The price is absolutely fabulous, only cost me a little over $15 for 4 ounces! One of the reasons it was so cheap (I'm guessing) is because it just doesn't do anything for the skin but protect.
Packaging:
I love the pump feature, but after finishing the bottle, it's really hard to get the last few pumps out. I found myself with scissors trying to cut the bottle open just to get the last few applications, but since the price is so cheap, I probably should have just bought another bottle. (Frugal ladies get where I'm coming from! ;P)
Reaction:
Oh man. Oh dang. Oh wow. I was really hoping to like this product, I mean I was beyond biased when I had a friend raving about it. For reference, I have incredibly dry, clear skin. I do fake tanning because I want to have good skin when I'm older, and it does leave my skin parched because of the DHA. At first I loved this product. It gave me lovely sun protection and was like Bruce Lee karate chopping the rays away (I could DEFINITELY tell a difference of how much sun I was getting within only a few days). Then, like another reviewer, I started getting these little bumps and my skin had a scaly sort of feel to it like snakeskin. I thought it could be the new brand of self tanner I was using (Fake Bake), so I stopped using that. But the scaly patches kept growing, and so I looked at all the skin goop I was using. After eliminating bout 24023423057022 other products, I finally figured out it was this. Stopped using it and immediately the day after my skin was soft and lovely once again.
Types of skin that would love this product:
After calling up my friend that recommended this, I figured out why this made my skin all scaly. She's an oily girl that gets combo skin around her period, and goodness, her skin looks good all the time with no make up. This product is made for somebody who's combo or oily who wants sun protection. Just not for us dry girls! I loved this product, just wish my skin wasn't so dry and it would be a great product.

This was okay for me. I like the 'oil free' and SPF 15 parts but unfortunately I don't feel like it hydrated my skin enough to be worth it. Smells a bit like sunscreen, which doesn't bother me, but did leave my skin feeling a bit greasy which I really don't like (I have combo skin so I pick products to get away from that feeling as much as possible). Doesn't break out my skin which is good. Packaging allows for a good size amount on a single pump which is decent. However, I personally prefer Olay's Complete SPF 15 version (for combo/oily skin) for it's superior hydrating qualities (though I keep this one around for emergency back up).

I've been using this stuff for months now, and haven't even CONSIDERED switching to something else. The pump is great, and I only use about one pump for my dry but oily t-zone skin. Price is definitely affordable, and it lasts you forever. Smells like sunscreen, but goes away after like an hour. Will repurchase until(if) I can find a better moisturizer. =)

Today I've come to the conclusion that this moisturizer is the reason for those small, fine, little intricate bumps on my cheeks and across my forehead. My best feature has always been my skin, often getting compared to that of a porcelain doll (Yes, I'm bloody pale!) but these past few months I've been wondering what's happening. I gave up makeup for 2 weeks, just using this moisturizer and washing my face with warm water in the shower, but alas these bumps continued to grow. I've read some reviews on here and noticed lots of people have experienced this too.. so as of this morning I've put this bottle out of sight so I'm not tempted to slather it on like I usually would. I really loved this, I liked the cooling sensation, the plump feeling and the price ($11 AUD for something which lasts a few months) but I was never fond of the intense greasy feeling or the shiny look it always gave me. I've ordered the Embroylisse moisturizer today, heres hoping it fixes the damage what this neutrogena one's done.

I HATE this product! Package is great. Price is not bad either.
It broke me out on my T-zone areas......mostly my forehead.
It is suppose to be oil free ,but it feels so oily and heavy.
I much prefer my clean and clear moisturizer.

Great moisturizer for oily skin!
I put this stuff on my face before i apply my primer and makeup. It absorbes super fast, so I almost don't need to wait at all before I continue with my makeup routine. It makes my skin feel soft and hydrated, but without the greasy and oily feeling (After all, It is oil free).
After a few houre I do get a bit shiny (But not more then when I'm not using this stuff), so it doesn't control the shine, but not making it worse as well.
It suppose to be odorless, but it has a small scent of sunscreen, but it goes away after a few minutes.
I've been using it for about a month and a half and it doesn't break me out, like some of the reviews here said.

I love this moisturizer. I have oily combination skin and always have a difficult time finding moisturizers and foundations that don't break me out. I started with the Oil Free Moisture for Combination skin. After using it both day and night this winter without issue I wanted to find a moisturizer for day with SPF. I purchased this one and really like it. I use the Oil Free SPF 15 during the day and the Oil Free Combination at night. It provides enough moisture for me taking away my dry flaky skin. If I can find the Oil Free SPF 35 in stores, I may buy that one for days when I know I am going to get more sun exposure. (I don't go in the sun much as I am not a fan of being hot.) Anyhoo, 4 oz for $9.99 is a great deal when you compare to other product prices per ounce.

I use this in the spf 35 and absolutely LOVE this product. I have been searching for so long and every sunscreen I've tried either smells, feels greasy, goes on in white swathes or makes me break out. This lovely light moisturizer goes on invisibly over my regular moisturizer (I'm very dry), doesn't leave any white residue and does not bother my skin. Sunscreen perfection!

So I've been using this for about a month and just the past couple weeks my skin has been breaking out pretty badly (few spots on cheeks and forehead). I have combo skin with oily t-zone and non-sensitive skin usually. I haven't switched anything else in my regimen and usually only breakout from PMS, came on here to check reviews and sure enough lots of people with combo/oily skin are having problems with this product. I switched from an Olay lotion which worked good enough but I think I'll look for something better than the both of them. Sighhh. Only Neutrogena product I've had problems with!

(I've used up two bottles of this, so this is not a review from someone who tried it once and hated it, or used it for a week and praises it to high heaven.)
I have really aggravating skin. It is incredibly sensitive, and prone to breakouts and can either be dry or oily, or (my absolute favourite) alternate between both while being dehydrated (even when oily). So while I won't be purchasing this again, you might like this product if you have more tolerant skin!
Pros:
-The bottle is the best I've used for any moisturiser. I love the pump and the fact that it locks. You can control how much product you use. It's portable and won't leak.
- The sunscreen in this doesn't irritate the eyes. It's not meant to be used in the eye area, but I've had other creams hurt my eyes when I applied them to my NOSE, nowhere near my eyes. This doesn't do that.
- I think the price is fair, especially if this works well for you.
-Does not ball up if you use something over it.
- Relatively gentle when compared to other moisturisers with SPF (relatively is the key word here).
Cons:
- It either takes forever to absorb into the skin, or won't go in completely. Keep in mind you need to use a certain quantity of the product in order to even claim you're wearing SPF.
- it aggravated the most sensitive parts of my face (around my nose and mouth, tops of my cheekbones) when I was having a bad skin day.
- Not waterproof. If you don't live in the tropics like I do and don't use it to go to the beach (you shouldn't) it won't be a problem, but I was once caught in a sudden thunderstorm and the whole thing melted off my face before I could run for cover.
- Not too moisturising
- Manages to feel relatively light while STILL being oily.
Overall, I'd give it a go if you have combo/oily skin, or even dry skin if you're willing to combine it with another moisturiser. If your skin reacts to certain ingredients easily, read the ingredients list carefully before purchasing because this isn't very gentle. If your skin is irritated and dehydrated, this will probably break you out. I have also tried the Oil Free Moisture for sensitive skin and this product is infinitely better than that one. I won't be repurchasing either product, so I'm on the hunt again for something that doesn't make my skin go batshit.

today's the first time I used it&i must say I'm slightly surprised.
Because of my sensitive/oily/acne-prone skin, finding facial products is tricky for me. I'm always hesitant to switch products. The last one, Clean&Clear Morning Burst SPF 15 was too greasy, rough&for some effed-up reason sparkly!?! I really hated the gritty feel. This one tho applied like butter. It gave me a baby-smooth skin afterwards :D I can't believe I never used it before. Will use a non-SPF fo nighttime if there's one

I have been using this moisturizer for over six years. It is the first moisturizer that did not break me out and/or cause me to look more oily than usual. I have sensitive skin and this product fits the bill. It costs about 10-11 bucks and it lasts me for several months. I may purchase 2-3 of them per year. I have tried other Neutrogena products with higher spf ratings or that serves some other purpose for the skin. I always come back to this product.
