On me (nc37-40 olive/yellow), this runs a little bit too red to use as a bronzer-it's a dark brown but pulls red on me for some reason-might be reacting with my foundation or it might have mahogany undertones in it. Laguna gives a more natural contour color on me. The product has excellent staying power though, like most NARS cheek products.

It is great bronzer for summer time and for medium and darker skin tones. It doesn't make you orange or muddy, just great bronz suntan color. I would buy it again.

I guess I'm a weird NC30/35 because this product was very ho-hum on my skin. It does have a reddish tone and is more pigmented than its two sisters, Laguna and Irresistiblement (whew!). Still, it just sat there and looked like any old blush on me. Bleh. Onto the next best thing.

I love this bronzer, it is a great dark bronzer with reddish undertones. This is for darker complected people. Apply this with a nice fan brush and you will love it. It has a very subtle shimmer but looks great on the face. I do not LOVE NARS packaging because the finish on the outside always gets makeup stuck to it. Be cafreful with this because I have broken a few, for me this is a bronzer that I dont take out in my purse. I have made messes before. This is staple item for me (a MAC NW30 but darker in summer) It has a unique undertone, really like this.

I La-la-la LOVE this! *sings* So I had Laguna before, which was great. 5 stars, but Casino I love EVEN BETTER. For reference, I am a very very yellow toned NC30-35, though right now I am so pale I could probably even be an NC25. Anyway, let me tell you why I love Casino more than Laguna. Laguna is the great, standard go-to of bronzers I think. It will work for everyone. It is a good standard, starter bronzer. It has slightly greenish undertones, which makes for a true "bronze" undertone. Casino, on the other hand, definitely has a red undertone going on. When I heard this, I was afraid because blushes tend to go red on me in a really annoying and unwelcome way. Nonetheless, I heeded the rave reviews here and decided to go for it. Needless to say, I am so glad I did because Casino is an absolutely amazingly wonderful pretty-much-perfect product! It just gives an extra oompf that Laguna just does not. It does more sculpting, more contouring and is just a little bit more flattering than the already flattering Laguna. Additionally, the effect is so pretty, you can pretty much forgo blush when you are wearing it. I have never thought that a bronzer could leave you not needing blush, but Casino does. I think it is because of those reddish undertones. Bottom line: the look Casino offers is totally sculpted but natural. Also, because it is more intense than Laguna, I can see it being extremely cost-effective too. With Laguna, I needed to swirl my brush in it before applying. With Casino, I literally only tap it once with the brush and go. It IS PERFECT. if you are scared because it is too dark or too harsh, don't be! Just apply lightly and be simply amazed....you may, as I did, find you like it much more than Laguna :)

I absolutely LOVE this product! (: I'm quite tanned (NW45 in summer & NW42 in winter) so i dont really need a dark bronzer. i use it to contour which works well. it has a tiny hint of shimmer which makes you 'glow'.
The price is quite steeep (esp since i live in Australia) but a little goes a long long way! I do use it on it's own with a really light touch it becomes like a 'powder' for me! If you are looking for a high end bronzer this is something to be considered. well pigmented (:

I am new to bronzer but not new to NARS. I really like this bronzer. I was formally introduced to this product when I went to a NARS counter in Lord and Taylor and got my makeup done. They used Casino on me and I was quite impressed how subtle it looked. The only other bronzer experience I have is CoverGirl's Queen Collection Bronzer in Ebony Bronze. Although a nice color, it was hard to work with and looked muddy on my skin. I think it probably was suitable for someone with darker skin (I am NW35). Casino is not muddy at all. It is finely milled and is not orange or muddy on my skin tone. It also has a little shimmer in it when looking at it in the pan but it is hardly noticible on the skin. I use this bronzer for contouring and it is perfect for that. I would definately recommend to woman of color.

I received NARS Casino along with Laguna for Christmas (funny time to buy bronzers perhaps!) as I thought Laguna would be too light and I would require a contour colour. Well, I only wish they did a bronzer that falls exactly between the middle of the two - Casino is just too dark. My skin tone is only medium, so perhaps it works better on darker skins. However, another problem I have with this bronzer is that the texture is totally different to Laguna. Laguna is smooth, finely milled, a decent brush picks up the perfect amount with one sweep, and the colour is buildable. Casino is just too chalky. You need to sweep the brush lightly, tap off the excess (I sometimes blow the excess off as well after tapping!) and apply with a very very light hand. I do not think this is only down to the colour being too dark for me, I promise you the texture is really different from Laguna.
Casino comes in the same deep pan compact as Laguna so you get a lot of bronzer in exchange for parting with £27. I am sure it will last me for ages especially as I use so little! The compact includes a large square mirror, and the compact itself is the same velvet-rubber finish as all NARS compacts which, yes, gets mucky quickly and shows fingerprints but feels solid and heavy in the hand which I like.
I strongly suggest trying this bronzer in the shop before purchasing, whereas with Laguna you have a pretty safe bet for a smooth bronzer that will suit all skin tones. I will continue to use Casino until it runs out, with a very light hand, as I like having a darker matte contour under my cheekbones. In the meantime though I think I will look for a colour that falls between Casino and Laguna, and has a slightly smoother finish. I wonder if anyone else has found this difference in texture between the two? Of course, this is my experience and I am sure Casino will work for many people - always worth trying before you buy though.

I'm gonna get killed for this review, but there is another product that I think performs better than this...BareMinerals warmth. Don't get me wrong, I think this is a good bronzer. I like that it's not overly shimmery, provides a subtle warm bronze rose glow but can be layered for more depth, and feels good applying it. But the price..DAMN! It just doesn't do enough for the price. I can get just as good of an effect, if not better, with BM warmth. It gives me a glow that is so pretty. Plus, you use so little of it that it lasts forever. I wanted to fall in love with this bronzer, and I do like it. But as the saying goes, if you love something, sometimes you need to set it free. It's going back to Sephora.

I have been looking for a bronzer that was not too sparkly, not orange, and doesn't make me look dirty. This is all that and more!!!! I describe it as having had a "roll in the hay"...then going to lay in the sunshine!!!......LOL

My HG bronzer for the last 5 years! I asolutely love the color, the subtle shimmer that acts as a highlighter and I love how I can still use it when I'm not that tan, I just use less! When I'm too pale to pull of the Casino or don't want such a dramatic look, I just use Laguna instead! I constantly use this as an eyeshadow too, often mixed with another color, my favorite is the blue from South Pacific. The reason I love this bronzer so much (and better than Laguna) is the shade, I love bronzer but I really only like cool colors on my skin and I feel like this has a cooler effect than other bronzers. I'm not sure if that makes sense since it's brown-based and brown is warm, but it's not coppery or orangey like I feel so many bronzers are.
My only complaint is that when I carry it with me, the powder sometimes breaks up and then I have to replace it. I always have one or more broken ones at home and one to carry with me. I just wish they made one that was half the size and half the price so it's easier to tote around and no big deal when I break it! I will never use up all the broken Nars bronzers I have and can't bare to throw out, anyone know how make them pressed again?

Makes my nc50 complexion look sooo healthy. Gives my skin such a sheen and glow. I have been wearing this for years and no matter what other bronzer I try, I always always come back to this. Casino doesn't make me look sparkley like most bronzers do. Definitely brown girl friendly. I use my Bobbi Brown face brush for flawless application.

I have medium olive skin, and first wore Laguna, but Casino is deeper without being too orange. It creates amazing shading. I would definitely buy this again.

when the nars rep recommended this color to me, i thought to myself, NOO WAAYYY!! WAY TOO DARK!!! she tried this on one cheek and laguna on the other side, and i honestly could't really tell a difference! (NC40 for ref)
the only difference i could tell was that casino had a rosey undertone to it which i know would turn me off so why purchase it? i own MAC so ceylon (which is probably not the same, but comparble) and i rarely use it because of the rosey undertone it carries!!!
overall good product, but i prefer laguna more! wish there was an in between shade!

omg, the texture on this is remarkable. it's finely milled and goes on buttery smooth. just great. casino is a mid-tone brown/bronze with red undertones and a slight gold shimmer. it doesn't make you look orange/red, dirty or any variation of bad. i love it for summer as it provides a nice fresh faced glow from within. the shimmery is very subtle and nicely enhances the bronzer. i like to apply this with my mac 165, but i'm sure any cheek or buffer brush will suffice. the price is a little on the steep side, but the product is of very high quality. the packaging is a sleek matte black. it also comes with a very large mirror.

NARS Casino .. you rock my world! I initially started with Laguna, but it seemed to lack something on my NC42 skintone .. so I decided to check out Casino and see how it compared ... Now we're talking :) Casino is absolutely beautiful! I have about a dozen bronzers that I rotate between, and casino is the only one that I've actually almost finished. It has enough of a shimmer to keep it from looking too chalky once applied, but not so much shimmer that I look greasy or shiny. It just makes my skin look naturally sun-kissed. This bronzer has captured my heart ..I love it!!

The NARS packaging is awesome - you can drop it on a marble floor and run it over in your car and it still survives! I think Casino is for when you have deep complexion or for a night effect, but would never give it up and think it should be in every makeup box.

This is my HG bronzer. For sure. To the extent that I am tempted to lower my review rating on other blush type products just to emphasize that this is my favorite bar none. I am an NC20/ dior 10/ MUFE 115/ Revlon Buff etc, and this is so perfect for my skin tone.
I would actually never have picked this out if not for a SA at Sephora who put it on me during a foundation testing. I have acne prone skin, but at this point retin-a micro and a good skincare routine have the acne mostly under control, except my main problem is redness and a few scars. I had heard before that if you have skin prone to redness that you should avoid adding more red/pink tones to your skin, but it wasnt until the SA put this on me that I really had a lightbulb moment. This makes my skin look fab, and still has some warmth to the undertones that it doesnt look too brown or blah in any way, and I especially love it because every other brozer I've used I've felt like I needed to throw some blush on the apples of my cheeks to add some warm colour. Not this. This is perfect on its own.
Before I was all about Nars in deep throat or penny lane or orgasm, but now this is definetly my go-to colour. I know this somewhat contradicts with a review below which suggests that people with red in their skin should stay away for this exact bronzer, but I find that after foundation and concealor have done their thing and cooled down my tones that I need something to bring back some warmth and love to my face! I am pale with blonde hair and blue eyes and this bring life back to my pale skin without emphasizing any redness. This makes me glow. Oh, and also one of BIGGEST pros- it last so much longer than anything else. The other nars products were decent, but I would still have to pack em in my purse if I was going to be out all day. Not this. Doesnt have to leave the makeup drawer :) THANKYOU NARS.
