Did not like this product at all. Left my face chalky looking and caused my sking to become very dry regardless of the fact that I did not use a heavy application. I would not buy this product again.

I use this powder a lot, and I must say, I really like it. I am NC40 and I use translucent medium. It keeps my face matte and does blur the appearance of large pores. MAC studiofix seriously broke me out and so now all I am wearing is Freshlook powder. Doesn't break me out. HG status

Nah, not too impressed. I expect a powder (pressed or loose) to be invisible on the skin and improve the skin texture. This one does a lazy job at both. It clings to the dry patches. It's just not smooth enough for my taste, it's a little chalky (applied with a brush, nothing beats a brush for powder application). I guess I'll go and try out the other powders by CG that got better reviews here. On sale at Target.

I just bought this yesterday, and I'm pleased with it so far. It is not a heavy or full-coverage powder by any means, but rather a powder that will keep your T-zone oil/shine free much longer, and provide subtle coverage to slightly smooth out skin tone. I apply bronzer to my cheeks and forehead (Bobbi Brown matte bronzer in Light), and it gives me a great, fresh, natural look for daytime. The compact is lightweight and cute.. a silver, round compact with mirror inside. The applicator is a flat, round puff, which I really like, compared to the sponge applicators. Though, this isn't a heavy powder, so it only needs a light puff anyway. There is no noticeable scent once on skin. It cost me about $6.99-ish at Ulta. If you're looking for a natural, daytime look that doesn't look like you're wearing makeup, try this one out. I usually have a shiny T-zone (esp. nose and forehead) by mid-morning, and this seems to help tone that down a lot. EDIT 7/15: This has dramatically cut down shine on my T-zone! It's almost noon, and my face is shine-free. It doesn't offer much coverage..but rather controls shine. I'm so happy with it!

At first I really like this powder. It blended into my skintone right off the bat and made my face look fresh and even, w/o foundation - I wanted a light powder to wear on days where foundation would just be too heavy. Thought I had found the *one* powder I could live with for the rest of my life. The 'yellow' undertone that others are talking about actually works well for my Asian NC35 skin. I got this in Translucent Honey. My skin is also pretty oily/combo, and this seemed to maintain that pretty well - only needed a quick touch up midday; used the blot away first and reapply technique, and my skin looked good as new. Reason for only 3 lippies: after continuous use, it broke me out! Little pimples all over my face. Hadn't changed anything else in my skincare regimine but this powder, so am thinking this is the culprit, and am going phaze it out. I have sensitive skin, am probably allergic to one of the ingredients. Such a shame, because it truly is a great looking powder.

If you have rosacea, you're probably allergic. I developed an allergy to this, as well as all other CG stuff, about a year to a year and a half before the onset of rosacea. (Every CG powder, foundation, and blush I have tried since then makes me break out.) Of all the women I know with rosacea, all but one is allergic to Cover Girl. If you DON'T have sensitive skin or rosacea, I have no advice for you. Check the other reviews for that!

I like this alot! I use a brush to apply and I use the CG Smoothers Moisture Tint in Fair to Light under it-a great powder in my opinion!
UPDATE-I still like this and find it to be batter than most and especially for the price but it is a tad yellow on me-I am porcelain very fair. UPDATE-Sonia Kashuk loose powder in naked is better for me.

I'm someone who hasn't had any luck at all with finding the right powder to set my makeup. I've read that covergirl powders are dependable, so I decided to go purchase one. I bought this pressed powder in translucent, applied it with a brush over my makeup..and I looked at myself in the mirror in horror. I looked AWFUL, haha. This product gave a cakey look straight away, and brought out my flaws as well as giving a chalky look. Sorry to those who love CG products, but this one is certainly not for me and I'm dubvious about trying any others!

I have repurchased this already. Translucent Fair is the shade I use, and on my pale to fair asian skintone, it helps to blot the oil, but doesn't cake up or turn orange. Another pro is that this product doesn't have that terribly strong CG smell. My HG pressed powder.

Despite some of the luck I've had with CG foundations-I like this powder. I have used Lancome and Clinique's oil-control powder and I think this actually works better for me. It doesn't have the weird CG smell and it is smooth and covers shine nicely. The silver compact isn't too bad either. I think for the money its an excellent powder.

great powder! at first i hated it because it made my skin turn orange. then i realized that was because of the awful puff that comes with it (reason why i dropped a lippie). then i started using a brush and it looks wonderful! not chalky or obvious-powdery at all. next time, however i think i'll try translucent light because my current translucent medium can be a little orangy if i use too much.

I got this free when I bought foundation. It's really just ok. It doesn't wear all day, and i don't really like the sponge thing that comes with it.

it really takes a lot to impress me make-up wise b/c i have tried everything out there. i like high end and low end make-up and all the in betweens. this powder ranks up there with my HG Armani pressed powder. i only used that though when i lived in Vegas b/c the Armani boutique is there. anyways, this Cover Girl powder is almost as good for only about $5.00. the coverage is a little sheerer than most but i like that about it. it's pretty finely milled too and doesn't apply all streaky with buildup and stuff. doesn't break me out either. the packaging is the typical cheap plastic drugstore variety but at least it's not too tacky looking. this is a GREAT product so go and try it.

I bought this to go with the coordinating Fresh Look foundation, and it's a decent powder. It does an average job of shine control. I noticed that the Fresh Look powders all have a yellowish tint to them, and I don't like that. If the shades work for you, this is a good powder. It's not too heavy and doesn't cause me to break out. Overall good.

While this powder matched my skintone perfectly and looked great over foundation, it can't control my oily T-zone at all. I may buy this again, only if I can't find a better solution.

So far I think this is the best pressed powder. I just bought it the other day in translucent light. It controls the oily, evens out my skin tone, it feels light and fresh, and it's cheap. The only thing that's not great is the puff doesn't really fit into the compact.

a pretty good pressed powder. only problem i found with it is that when i have a blemish and cover it with jane stay calm foundation, although i set the foundation with loose powder, sometimes with touchups during the day it smears the foundation! and no i don't push hard when i apply the powder. just a couple of pats is all. overall it provides great coverage, great blue color, and doesnt break me out!
