Despite some of the unfavorable reviews here and my not-all-too-happy experience with the LE Lumieres quad, I went ahead and bought this quad anyways at a local Nordstrom. I was in love with the black/purple and the pinkish plum color in the quad (they remind me of my dearly departed Stila Bohemian Cafe). I had to take this quad back because just like what some reviewers have mentioned, the plum shade lends absolutely no color to the lids while the dark purple was scarcely pigmented AND IMPOSSIBLE to blend. After much efforts to put the colors on, the effect I achieved was a very ordinary black smokey eye and not the intense purple the color in the pot (and even on my fingers) had me believe. I really dislike Chanel shadows and I doubt I'd even pay half as much money for such poor quality. I've had better experience with CG and L'Oreal at 1/10 of the price.

One of the prettiest Quads from Chanel. I had to buy this once the SA stroked some onto my hand. They are simply the prettiest colours. I wore this last night and the colours didn't fade even way into the night. Perhaps we in Singapore get the European version? It's more pigmented I think. IMO it's worth the money... 4 colours for SGD67. That's cheaper than MAC! I'll be buying this again... if I ever manage to finish this one.

I bought the European quad from Strawberrynet.com for a nice discount, and I have to say that these are lovely and unusual purple shades. There is a shimmery pale pink/lavendar that makes a nice highlighting color (that doesn't fade on me) and a shimmery medium lavendar color that makes a lovely wash. The deeper plum with gold shimmer is used to line and I like the dark blue-black-purple color as an accent on the outer corners of my eyes. This is a nice look that can be done lightly for everyday or darkened for a more dramatic effect. I find that aside from the palest shade, the colors do fade a lot during the day. To fix this I layered the whole look over Chanel's cream shadow in Abysee (a light shimmery lavendar), and not only did I get a more intense purple, but the look lasted nicely.

I use this quad several times a week. I have brown eyes...I absolutely LOVE the one in the bottom right corner - light/med purple with gold flecks ("dusk"?). Super pretty and also can be used wet! I use the one above it for highlight. I need to figure out if they sell these two as a duo. I get less mileage out of the other two colors (a dark violet good for a liner & lavendar that's probably too dark for highlight but too loud for day IMO).

This quadra eyeshadow kit contains the most beautiful purple colors. All colors belong to the violet family and can create the smoky eye look. They look great on all eye colors.

This was a very disappointing product for me. It was the first Chanel I have purchased. The colors were very pretty in the case, but they didn't have very much of anything on. Not much pigment or color. The only color I did like was the darkest one used wet as a liner. I am going to stick to my Stila and Bare Escentuals e/s.

This is a pretty quad from Chanel, featuring various shades of purples and lavender, from a deep purple-plum to a light silvery lilac highlighter.
This is great for someone who wants to play with dramatic colour, but are afraid of going overboard- the shades are pigmented, but light and sparkly so the colour coverage is variable and buildable.

These colors look absolutely beautiful in the quad, but on the eyes they do not seem like the Chanel I remember. The 2 lightest colors are not very pigmented, and the lightest pink blends tight in with my skintone and looks like nothing, not even any shimmer (not like stila. The 2nd lightest is also extremely light without any pigment. I found I had to coat these to get any color or coverage, not even my MAC 252 brush helped. The plum color is pretty and somewhat shimmery, though very streaky. The best color in this quad hands down is the darkest raisin, and works wonders when applied wet as an eyeliner, really makes my green eyes pop.

My favorite of the Chanel eye quads. This range of purples can be used for a variety of looks that aren't too heavy. Product applies well and lasts!

This is a beautiful quad of four variations of purple - from the very lightest to a deep, intense plum. The eyeshadows are well pigmented and silky. However, for its price, the compact didn't seem sturdy.

Has sparkly shimmery shades of plum ranging from a white with plum shimmer, to a dark eggplant. I use mostly to line my eyes and the white as a highlighter, because I am fair and still don't know how to tone down dark shadows so they work on me. Someone who is more skilled can probably use this a million different ways and look beautiful.

This is my first and only Chanel quad. Only looking at the colors make me fell in love. I haven't use it yet, so I don't know about the wearibility. But for the fab colors I haven't seen anywhere else, I'll give it 5!!!
BTW, I have the European quad, is it different with the Americans?

Absolutely the most gorgeous eyeshadow palette that I have ever seen. However, I have the French version, which is far superior to the one made for us tres stupide Americans. I am told that all of the European lines are like that, and I have noticed a difference in the products that I have compared. The shadows are more pigmented, more silky....there's just something different about them. But back to Vanites -- the second lightest purple is my favorite. It makes my brown eyes pop, and as the day wears on, it fades (but does not crease) into a lovely pale violet shimmer. The others are gorgeous as well, and whenever I wear any of these colors, the bf comments on how beautiful my eyes are. Now how is that for a recommendation? Strawberrynet.com sells the European quads for $35 USD.

The purples in this quad didn't really mesh well together. There was a raisin, a plum, a lavendar, and a white. It sounds nice, but they all were streaky and I never could apply them right. These went right up on ebay!

This is my only Chanel Quad of shadows, because I splurged at a makeover last spring. But they are just lovely. Theya re vry pigmented and blend beautiful. This quad is shades of pinks and lilacs and deep purples. Just beautiful for the day or the night. My only problem is that that lighter shades fade as the day goes on...but with Stila Lily Eye Glaze as a base...so beautiful!
