well i'm sort of a mascara noob...sorry. generally pretty good. definitely noticed lengthening and a little bit of thickening. if not careful, looks spiderleg-gy but generally can be avoided by just making sure i don't have too much on the brush. unfortunately, there was flaking by the end of the day.

This has a horrible brush. what i did was took my old L'oreal Voluminous brush and cleaned it off and stuck it inside instead and it works a lot better. It is hard to get off and my eyelashes do tend to fall off, but it does look fairly nice. I would not buy it again though. I'm sticking to my Voluminous.

This is so bad it's unbelievable! It's thin, runny, and after 2 coats, makes my lashes curl downwards. Terrible stuff.

I am a mascara whore. When I saw this at the drugstore I had to try it. It is #9 in my collection.I have to say I bought it w/o reading reviews here first. When I read the reviews I almost kicked myself. But I like this mascara. Like the others said it holds a curl extremely well (and that is very important to me). My lashes are thick, not lush like when I use F&S, but thick enough. So far everything looks good: no smearing or flaking. It'not a wet mascara and went on easy. If this keeps up I will add it to my regular rotation.

only plus point is that it holds curl. however made my lashes feel like spider legs... rather ordinary mascara not worth the hype

I did not understand this mascara; for a product that is obviously supposed to be the Maybelline's answer to L'Oreal's Lash Architect, I have never tried a more _ordinary_ mascara. It does the opposite of what it says. It's so 'so what?'

Admittedly, I only did one layer but even after that, you expect to see some results. This is a whole lotta nothing. Only for those looking for a very natural (i.e. why bother?) look.

+'s, holds a curl, slightly lenghtens, not clumpy. -'s even though is says that it's waterproof, it smudged under my lower lashes.

This mascara is pretty good for my eyes. The teeny lil wand does help much for my lashes and opens up my eyes. The plus is that it doesn't smudge for the whole days and it's great. It's small and compact to carry it along in my MU bag. I think this will be a HG for me:)

Woohoo! Say hello to length; IMHO is similar to L'Oreal's longitude but with 1) less stiffness 2) less smudging. Longitude smudges too easily for me. I just got it today and used it... Nice and pretty, opened up my eyes *perfectly* and have no problems with clumps or curling. Only thing is despite less stiffness (as compared to longitude) it is still *kinda* spidery looking. Of course, you'd have to go beyond 2 coats for that to happen....:) another winner for me from maybelline!

I've always been a huge fan of L'Oreal's Voluminous, but this is my new HG! :-) It gives good length and enough volume for every day use, it doesn't clump, doesn't give spider leg lashes, is easy to apply, and it never runs! And the most important thing for stick straight lashes like mine - it holds a curl perfectly!

As someone mentioned, it can be a little bit hard to remove. But I'm ok with that because this mascara really never runs or smudges. That's really important to me because of the high temperatures and humidity here in in FL.

Also, if it the brush ever has little blobs of mascara on it, wipe the wand and clean the opening with a Q-tip... this happens to me every couple of weeks and then it can start clumping a bit.

well, I like the packaging, it is a really cute colour. love it. It is really good in terms of WP, but it is IMPOSSIBLE to remove it. I use Garnier eye make up remover, and you can't get it off. I need to try so many times that my skin hurts from the rubbing. Apart from that, it is alright.

This mascara is okay. I like the beautiful icy blue packaging, and the tapered brush is pretty handy. But the formula itself is disappointing. First, it was much more natural-looking than I had anticipated. Didn't quite provide the oomph. Not too many clumps, and it did hold the curl pretty well. But instead of long curvy lashes, it left hard spiky lashes. I also agree that it is horribly difficult to remove. :PI wouldn't purchase again. I *much* prefer WP Volum' Express or WP Illegal Lengths.

I thought this idea of the "lash-wrapping brush" is so good that I had to check this one out. However, I feel the bristles are not packed densely enought, and hard to get the product to "wrap" my lashes. Plus it clumps. What is more scary is that this is impossible to take off, even with oil type of makeup remover. Stay away from this.

In the ever continuing search for a drugstore HG, I have to report that Lash Expansion is nowhere near as good as sister Full-n-Soft. No, Lash Expansion isn't bad at lengthening or thickening, but it has a spidery effect and is much stiffer than the soft fringe of Full-n-Soft. It did wear nicely, no smudging or flaking, and wasn't too hard to remove for a WP formula. Unfortunately, however, being a mediocre mascara just isn't enough for me to want to buy it again. :(

I really like this mascara. It just gave me the right amount of length I wanted to add to my lashes. Will repurchase in the future.

I was thoroughly disappointed with this mascara. I have normal straight lashes and this gives me no volume or length and it goes on thin and oily. BLAH! If you have to have a maybelline mascara go with full n'soft .

I love this mascara so much. Truly waterproof, comes in a really cute sleek frosted pale blue tube, holds my curl wonderfully, and is great for an everyday look. The brush is a tad big, so be careful when you apply it. I have short, super straight, thin and puny lashes. This mascara helps me make the best out of what I've got. The price is pretty cheap when you get it on sale. I got it for 6.50 when it wasn't on sale.

This is an okay, average waterproof mascara. It clumps and just doesn't have the pretty, natural look of the Full N Soft Waterproof. I'm sticking with that one, instead!
