I like DHC products. I especially liked the Extra Nighttime Moisture. During the winter, I used it as my daytime moisturizer because of how moisturizing it is. Great for dry skin. The only reason I give it 4 lippies is because it is a little pricey, and you mostly have to order online or through the mail. I prefer to be able to buy products in stores.

This was a great prod for my dry, uber-sensitive skin! I didn't detect any noticeable scent, and it didn't irritate my skin. It moisturized great, yet in the morning there was no oily film left. My only problem with this was the price. It was kind of pricey. But it works!

This cream is awful. It left nasty oily film on my face and neck. Doesn't sink, doesn't really moisturize. I am glad I decided to try a sample before waisting my money on the worst of night creams.

I have 20 yr old acne/blackhead/clogged pore prone combination leaning towards oily skin type. I have been an avid dhc user for 2 1/2 years mainly using just the cleansing oil. I avoided the extra nighttime samples I have recieved so many times because of the words "extra- nighttime-moisture". I thought it must be for dry skin & in the past all nighttime moisturizers have been way too heavy & caused major greasiness & breakouts. I finally found a few packets (last about 4 applications each) & started to use them. Wow am I surprised!!! its very rare for me to find a moisturizer that deeply moisturizes and that wont cause clogged pores. It felt thick & heavy in my hands but glided on evenly & immediately penetrated & dried to a baby soft finish. I could not stop touching my face at night after using this and in the mornings. Not 1 zit, not 1 blackhead, and not 1 clogged pore so far. I do hope to get this on sale because in the picture the jar looks small (who knows it may be bigger) Anyways, my skin loves this, it hydrates every area not 1 spec of my skin was greasy & no this does not contain sunscreen which is good for me because that stuff breaks me out horribly. Like their catalog said this moisturizer is for everyone! so dont be afraid to use it like I was. I was truly missing out on a great product, well worth the money. edit* If you ask for a sample from dhc be careful because they do have a "rich moisture" product but that is for dryer skintypes.

I got this product as a sample, and I've tried it a few times now. I have normal skin, but sometimes in the CA desert weather, my skin gets dry. I was looking for a moisturizer that would nip that problem in the bud. Obviously, I just had the sample, but the full size product comes in a tub which I'm not entirely fond of. I get lotion under my fingernails when the product is in a tub. :(

I wash my face with the DHC facial scrub (but I think any cleanser/scrub would work), and then I applied the extra nighttime moisture cream. It's VERY heavy, so a little truly does go a long way. Afterwards, my skin was incredibly shiny, but who cares... I was just going to bed. I woke up, and my skin was very soft.

After trying this three times now, I think I've decided to get a full-sized product. Maybe I'll just put it in another container though. It's a wonderful nighttime product (duh, that's in the name), but I wouldn't wear this as a moisturizer under makeup... it's too heavy, and then add in the shinyness factor.

Luckily, I only got this as a sample. I got a bunch of red, painful pimples after just 3 days of use (only on my cheeks where I'm more dry).

Not for the acne-prone!

Also, I didn't find it that moisturizing. There are many cheaper products that are far superior for moisture.

I admit I've only used this through samples but I have plenty of them. This is an awesome moisturizer for very dry skin or for normal skin that goes through a winter phase. Anytime I've used this at bedtime I've woken up with hydrated plumped skin. One day when I save up the cash I'll buy this. Until then I'll have to write to Santa. :P

Upon reading other's reviews, I'd recommend not applying this with a heavy hand or during the day. I found it was perfect when I had some bad dry spots and applied it before bed. I woke up to soft, flake-free skin.

My skin had been feeling parched so I tried this instead of my usual night cream, for some extra relief. The price is a little better than most moisturizers that I use, so that was nice. My skin is dry and sensitive. I put this on and it just felt greasy. I waited for it to sink it, but it never did. I had read in its reviews that it might take a while but that I would wake up with soft skin, so I went to sleep. In the morning my face felt less greasy, but I think that is only because it wiped off on my pillow. Nevertheless, my skin did not feel tight, so i continued use. After two days, I had broken out into tiny, painful blemishes. I stopped using after 3 days and gave the rest to my mom, whose skin is less sensitive.

I have been using DHC's Olive Essentials set for over year, so based on the reviews here I decided to try the Extra Nighttime Moisture. All I can says is WOW. When I woke up the morning after first using this, my skin was the softest it's been since I can remember, and it actually seemed "plumped" up ... any lines I had were virtually gone! It does seem a bit greasy when you first apply it, but overnight I guess it does its stuff and the results the next day are amazing.

I got a sample of this is a recent Sephora.com order. It is a creamy, white facial lotion that goes on quite greasy and doesn't sink in right away. I thought my face would be an oily mess by morning, but it all absorbed and I was left with silky soft skin. I only tried this once, so I'm not sure how it would react on a continued basis to my sensitive, break-out prone skin.

I got a sample of this stuff with an order (one of the reasons I love DHC is how you can get up tp 4 samples of other products to try when you place an order). Had enough to use for 2-3 nights and absolutely fell in love with it. Can't wait to order and get a full jar. It goes on wonderfully and my skin feels super soft and smooth the next morning. Highly recommend!

At first, it seemed like (despite the extreme greasiness of the product) this would be a good nighttime moisturizer for my normal-to-dry skin. I am not oily or prone to blemishes, so I figured this wouldn't hurt. The first day, it seemed to be alright, although I noticed that a tiny blemish I had (which usually disappears overnight) wasn't gone yet. Chalked it up to resilience on the part of the blemish, and kept using this product. A few days later, the thing is huge, red, and very painful. I suppose it's what they call "cystic acne." Since I had made absolutely NO other changes to my skincare/makeup routine, I feel safe in saying that THIS product has turned a tiny blemish into a full-blown zit. NEVER using this product again. I hate the greasy texture (which does NOT lessen with time), and that price is ridiculous. I can't understand why anyone would pay such a high price for such a mediocre product. I usually like DHC products, but I absolutely hated this moisturizer. At least Dove never worsened my occasional blemishes.

This is one of DHC's top selling items. For me however, it's average. I much prefer their ceramide milk or the alpha-arbutin moisturizer. This is a lot cheaper before and when it's on sale, 2 for $44 or $40. It does moisturize, but i find myself just clumping it on (maybe my combo skin is too dry for this formulation), and though it moisturizes, i just don't feel anything special happening. once i use this up, i really doubt i will repurchase...it's just a good basic, basic moisturizer.

I used a sample of this that lasted for several days, and I must say this moisturizer is a real treat. Goes on a little heavy but I too wake up with what a poster below refers to as "happy skin." So smooth and nourished-feeling. I can see this being too much for the summer but I will keep this moisturizer in mind when it gets cold again and I need to purchase a night cream.

I'm not convinced that I need this product. It's a very effective moisturizer, that's for sure, thick and emollient (not to say greasy....). I bought it because of the 2 for $44 sale, and because my dermatologist told me I should be extra careful about moisturizing at the same time as I use Retin-A. The thing is, if I use this with Retin-A at night (she suggested using them together, not this moisturizer specifically but just a moisturizer) my face burns, enough to bother me all the next day. When I use Retin-A with just a little olive oil that doesn't happen. If my skin is feeling especially touchy, using this moisturizer alone stings it. I don't know what's in it that I'm reacting to, but it's definitely this moisturizer causing irritation. So I kind of regret this purchase. (NB: the sample I tried caused no problems, so go figure.) I'm going to save the open jar for especially dry days, which will probably mean waiting til next winter, and give the unopened one to my mom for Mother's Day. I do think this is probably a very good product, which is why I would consider giving it as a gift, but it's just not working for me at the moment.

I have to agree with everyone. I have oily acne prone skin and i really like this. Is this heavy? Kind of but not as heavy as cetaphil cream or lotion. I use it sparingly on oily areas and a lot on combination areas when sky is dry and its great. UPDATE: TO THOSE WHO WANTS TO BUY THIS. I SUGGEST TRY THE DHC FACE CREAM FOR MEN FIRST. ITS ONLY $12 versus $30 for face creams for women. THE MAJOR INGREDIENTS like butylene glycol, olea europaea (olive) fruit oil, squalane ARE THE SAME. WHO CARES IF ITS MARKETED TOWARDS MEN IF THEY CHARGE LESS.

UPDATE: Took a lippie off. This product was just too plain and heavy for my combo oily skin. I think it is also over-priced.

This is a heavy white cream with a mild scent. It's packaged in a plain white glass jar with a dark lid. It goes on heavier than the DHC tocopherol cream and a bit heavier than the Olive Leaf Cream, which is my HG night moisturizer. HOWEVER, it does absorb after a minute and is very soothing. In the morning, my skin was refreshed. If you like a cream that doesn't disappear in a second after you apply it, or like a thick night cream, this is great. I still like the tocopherol or the Olive Leaf a bit better, but at 2 for $44, on sale, you can see this is a pretty good deal for a top quality night cream. I found Olive Leaf worked better on me than Creme de la Mer, so I am hoping this will work out as well.

I received a sample of this, and it lasted through 4 applications. I found that it didn't sink in as quickly as the products I use during the day, but since I was just going to bed it would be fine. I woke up with very happy skin each morning, which is a change, usually I wake up dry. I'm going to get some to take to my upcoming trip to Montana, I think it's made for such a climate!
