In my opinion Laura Mercier prodice the best eye make up you can buy. It goes on smoothly and always looks fantastic. This is a beautiful colour that works well with brown. I would recommened Laura Mercier to anyone, it is worth its weight in gold.

AMAZING eye color. Perhaps the best basic, neutral eye color on the market. I would be surprised to find a person alive who would not look good in this taupe-colored shadow. It has a slight shimmer to it, but it looks so soft and natural. You, but better. Topaz + Rose = staple eye color combo that every girl should have in her makeup case.

I am a GGG/DDD - NC45 I love this color - it is a beautiful shimmery taupe on me the perfect color for the light side of a smoky eye look. I would repurchase this in a heartbeat.

It is very smooth and silky and wears well though the day - I have oily lids and did not have a problem with it.

I never really justified spending £15 on an eyeshadow (about $19 if you're from the US), but I did, and I don't regret it one bit. I had this tried on me at a Space NK makeover last year, whereby I asked the make-up artist for a natural look, and 14 months later having forgotten what the whole affair looked like, I tried it on, et voilą, I fell in love. I don't know where else I could find another eyeshadow that does not start melting into an oily mess in the crease of eyes (I have the bane of combination skin unfortunately). I have very dark brown hair and eyes, and this is
an extremely flattering colour for us darker maidens :) Regardless of skin tone, this works a treat.

A tip is to use a base eyeshadow underneath first to minimise any oiliness that does come up, so I had 'Toasted Almond' put on first as a highlighter before applying the shadow into the creases, but I reckon a translucent powder could do the same trick, not to mention providing a slightly cheaper alternative :)

My favorite color in the Eye Paints palette! Gorgeous grey-toned taupe that's perfect for daytime as a wash and for night layered to show off the color a bit more. Will definitely buy the full size when I run through the small amount in the palette!

A good friend sent me a sample of this, and WOW do I likey...it shows on my eyes as a taupe with subtle purple and silver tones, with slight shimmer-right up my alley. Goes on smoothly and lasts true to color all day. Will definitely buy this when the sample is gone, as I am considering this a staple for my HUGE taupe eyeshadow collection...LOL
I am a PPP with medium red hair and green/blue eyes.

This has become my HG e/s with Rose (shimmery pinky gold) over the lids. With Topaz (browney-taupe with slight shimmer) over the crease, the result is very natural looking and absolutely opens up my eyes. Highly recommended!

Gorgeous as a crease with Sandstone. I use this with the Eye Basics and it lasts all day. It's slightly shimmery, but doesn't flake and isn't too much for daytime use.

Topaz is a pretty shimmery taupey color. I have only tried it once so far but it is beautiful on the lid with rose in the crease. Very long lasting, as all LM shadows are.

Topaz is a gorgeous silvered taupe shade, very shimmery and wonderful in the crease. I *think* it has a hint of lavender or mauve, but it's very subtle on my warm PPP-LLL complexion.

The texture of LM shadows are excellent- great pigment, and silky-soft to blend. Very high quality.

I took one lipstick off because of the appallingly ugly LM packaging, but otherwise her products are excellent. :)

This is a taupe shade with a bit of silver to it. It blends wonderfully and it doesn't crease on my lids. This is one of my new favorite colors. It's so silky and it feels great on.

I bought this after loving a LM eyeshadow that I got in a swap. It's my new favorite eyeshadow Topaz is a lovely mauvey taupe with a bit of shimmer. It reminds me of a more pigmented version of Stila Grace (formerly my favorite eyeshadow!). The pigment is a little on the sheer side but easily buildable. The color is versatile, and I love it in the crease or from lash to brow, with a plum, brown, or gray liner. It's beautiful on blue eyes!

The brown packaging is not the most attractive, to say the least, but it's not nearly enough to turn me off of this shadow! I'd love to try more LM shadows now. :)
